Ruby Kingery
DAWSON SPRINGS — Ruby Allene Brown Kingery, 68, died Wednesday at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.
She had worked as a clerk, head cashier and assistant manager in grocery stores and last worked at Mike’s IGA.
Surviving are a daughter, Dana Ipock of Dawson Springs; three stepdaughters, Lorita Harmon of Madisonville, Maria Bailey of Crofton and Janice Harris of Eddyville; a stepson, David of Dawson Springs; three sisters, Irene Grant of Christian County, Edna Hamilton of Martinsville, Ind., and Gloria Bryant of Dawson Springs; a brother, Robert
Eugene “Bobby” Orten of Deighton, Mass.; a grandchild; and nine step grandchildren.
Her first husband, Arnett Brown, died in 1987.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in McKnight cemetery.
Ewing Hardison
MADISONVILLE — Ewing T. “Pete” Hardison, 94, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.
He had been a farmer.
He was a member of the Johnsons Chapel United Methodist Church in Christian County and attended the Parkview United Methodist Church in Madisonville.
Surviving are two daughters, Hilda Baldwin and Phyllis Renshaw, both of Madisonville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with burial in Odd Fellow cemetery.

Corinne Kemp
DIXON — Corinne Kemp, 93, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at the Medco Center in Bowling Green.
She had been a county court clerk.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dixon.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Chesley Kemp of Dixon; and two grandchildren, Bill and Elizabeth Kemp.
Her husband, Dr. William Chesley Kemp Sr., preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Townsend Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Grove cemetery.

Jacqueline Easley
HENDERSON — Jacqueline Easley, 62, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Methodist Hospital of heart failure.
She was a member of New Race Creek Baptist Church and served on the Mother’s Board.
Surviving are five daughters, Deborah Walker, Paulette Smith, Annette Saunders, Twana Rose Easley and Margaret Smith, all of Henderson; four sisters, Mattie, Ervinia, Delores and Pearline Gant, all of Henderson; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at New Race Creek Baptist Church, with burial in Fernwood cemetery.

Dewey Blackmon
BEECH GROVE — Dewey S. Blackmon, 69, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Owensboro of cancer.
He retired from the York Corp. in Madisonville after more than 17 years.
He was a Korean War Army veteran.
Surviving are a daughter, Theresa Dickens of Beech Grove; two sons, Tony Winstead and Thomas Blackmon, both of Beech Grove; four sisters, Ruth Fant of Safford, Ariz., Mary Clardy of Colbert, Okla., Dorothy Smith and Lucille Boling, both of LaGrange, Ga.; 12 brothers, Olen Blackmon of Augusta, Ga., Fred Blackmon of Tampa, Fla., Hollis, Arnold and Wayne Blackmon, all of Zephyr Hills, Fla., Benjamin Blackmon of Roanoke, Ala., Phillip Blackmon of Plant City, Fla., and John D., Orbie, Lewis, William and Leonard Fulmer; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and his companion of 10 years, Mary Turley.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Muster Funeral Home Calhoun Chapel, with burial in Calhoun cemetery.

William Youngs
CLAY — William Raymond Youngs, 63, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center of cancer.
He was a coal miner for more than 30 years at Lodestar Energy.
He was an Army veteran, serving in the military police in the United States and Germany.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Providence.
He was active in community service and worked with hospice and Alcoholics Anonymous.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Lorie; three daughters, Caroline Wilson of Goodlettsville, Tenn., Patricia Brown of Cookeville, Tenn., and Jennifer Ohlmann of Lindenhurst, Ill.; a sister, Barbara Jean Cowan of Columbia, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Providence, with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery in Clay.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m., and from 8 to 9 a.m. Friday at Vanover Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice or Alcoholics Anonymous in care of the church.
Bonnie Little
MARION — Bonnie A. Little, 57, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Crittenden County Hospital of heart failure.
Surviving are her husband, Dennis Ray Sr.; a daughter, Deanna L. Johnson of Henderson; two sons, David G. of Symsonia and Dennis Ray Jr. of Marion; two sisters, Ruby White and Kathy Fark, both of Boonville, Ind.; three brothers, Richard Edward Evans of Lynnville, Ind., Dennis Wayne Evans of Boonville and Timothy B. of Chandler, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home, with burial in Lola cemetery.

Birtie Littrel
HENDERSON — Birtie Cates Littrel, 91, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Methodist Hospital.
She attended Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Riley of Henderson; five sons, Morris Jr., David, James and Bobby, all of Henderson, and Larry of Atlanta; a sister, Viola Eblen of Henderson; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, M.H. “Jack, ” died in 1994.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Evelyne Thomas
HENDERSON — Evelyne W. Edwards Thomas, 95, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at Medco Center.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, where she belonged to Women of the Church.
She was past treasurer and 45-year volunteer of Henderson’s American Red Cross and in 1968 was the first Henderson woman to receive the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Citizen Award.
She was a Girl Scout leader and board member, and Scout District Board Member for more than 25 years. She served as treasurer on the Community Chest and United Fund Boards, was a Kentucky Colonel, member and past treasurer of the Riverview School, and active in the establishment of the Hugh Sandefur Training Center, where she served as treasurer.
Surviving are a daughter, Cecelia “Pat” Edwards of Henderson, two stepdaughters, Jaunita Thomas Connerly of Greensburg, Ind., and Madelyn Thomas Posey of Jasper, Ala.; a stepson, Fred Thomas of Henderson; 10 step grandchildren; and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, E. Cecil Edwards, in 1968, and Forrest Thomas, in 1980.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, with burial in Fernwood cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.

Marion Kendrick
HENDER-SON — Marion O. “Kenny” Kendrick, 78, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at his home of heart failure.
He retired as a cement mason from Deig Brothers Contractors.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member, deacon and clerk of the Seventh Street Baptist Church and a Mason.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Ervenia Terry; two daughters, LaWanda Oliver and N. Elaine Kendrick, both of Evansville; a son, Terrence O. of Goleta, Calif.; two sisters, Iriah Jefferson of Chicago and Rumyrtle Moorman of St. Louis; two brothers, Milton of Shaker Heights, Ohio and Cleatis of Detroit; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services are pending at Mason Brothers Funeral Home Audubon Chapel.
