PRINCETON, Ky. — Leslie Goodaker, 90, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at her home.
He had owned radio station WPKY and was a deacon of the Northside Baptist Church.
Surviving is a niece.
His first wife, Mayme (Pollard), and his second wife, Katherine, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Hill cemetery.

Chester Berry
HENDERSON, Ky. — Chester A. Berry, 80, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Methodist Hospital.
He was a retired painter and wallpaper hanger. He was a member of East End Tabernacle and participated in several musical group ministries.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy E.; a daughter, Barbara Ann Griffin of Henderson; two sisters, Frances Smith of Georgetown, Ky., and Vernie Coney of Woodridge, Ill.; a brother, James E. of Robards; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, with burial in Fernwood cemetery.

Louise Williams
SEBREE, Ky. — Louise Frazier Williams, 86, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, in Colonial Terrace Nursing Home.
She was a nursing assistant.
Surviving are two daughters, Lanna Poberts of Sebree and Sherry Schooley of Henderson; four sons, Robert and Ronnie, both of Sebree, Gary Eugene of St. Louis and Dennis Lee of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Daryl Frazier of Dixon and Bobby Frazier of Henderson; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Rufus Malcolm, and a son preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Springdale cemetery. There will be no visitation at Tompkins Funeral Home.
Bessie Phillips
HENDERSON, Ky. — Bessie E. Phillips, 89, formerly of Henderson, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2000, at her home in Peoria, Ariz.
Surviving are a daughter, Judith Gale Wassom of Melbourne, Fla.; a son, Ronny G. Phillips of Phoenix; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
Elma Garrett
STURGIS, KY. — Elma Garrett, 90, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Friendship Nursing Home in Marion, Ill.
She was a member of the Grangertown Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Maurice, Jimmy and Peanuts, all of Sturgis; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home, with; burial in Rock Springs cemetery in Wheatcroft.

L. Edward Kincade
HENDERSON, Ky. — L. Edward Kincade, 79, did Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at his home.
He was a World War II Army veteran. He was the first president of the Men’s Club at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and had been a eucharistic minister for 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; four daughters, Jackie Armstrong of Louisville, Diane Hargis of Russellville, Linda Konkler of Scottsburg, Ind., and Theresa Glenn of Paducah; three sons, L. Edward Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., Charles of Evansville and Joseph of Chillicothe, Ohio; two sisters, Vera Nussmeyer of Sydney, Ill., and Mary Ellen Waymire of Attica, Ind.; five brothers, Clifford and Harlan, both of Indianapolis, Robert and William, both of Williamsport, Ind., and Marion of Boswell, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at noon Friday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, with burial in St. Louis cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund or St. Anthony Hospice.
Nola Fambrough
HENDERSON, Ky. — Nola Rankin Fambrough, 64, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a home health aide for St. Anthony’s Hospice and a private sitter.
She was a member of Watson Lane Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughter, Lisa Diane Goodrum of Tulsa, Okla., and Janet E.; Walker of Cairo; two sons, Arthur Gordon “Gordy” Jr. and Albert D., both of Henderson; her father and stepmother, James D. and Rosa B. Duncan of Henderson; five sisters, Wilma Sue Mobley of Evansville, Jenon Cummings of Elizabethtown, Mary Lou Nelson of Texas, Peggy Ann Brimm of Boonville and Sondra L. Powell of Henderson; two brothers, Jerry Duncan of Jackson, Tenn., and James L. “Larry” Duncan of Dixon; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Cheyenne Mayes, 43, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at her home of heart failure.
She was a member of the East View Baptist Church in Madisonville.
Surviving are a daughter, Tiffany Mayes of Madisonville; a son, Lloyd of Madisonville; her parents, James and Minnie A. Mayes Sr. of Madisonville; two sisters, Sadie Mayes of Madisonville and Maxine Mayes of Danville, Va.; two brothers, James Mayes Jr. of Madisonville and Richard Mayes of Danville; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Chapel CME Church, with burial in Eastside Odd Fellows cemetery.

James Lawrence
LIVERMORE, Ky. — James “Buddy” Lawrence, 51, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at Owensboro Mercy Health System of congestive heart failure.
He was a member of Livermore United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are a daughter, Teresa L. Howard of Owensboro; a son, Anthony of Livermore; his mother, Myrl Lawrence of Livermore; a sister, Connie Humphrey of Livermore; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Muster Funeral Home Livermore Chapel, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Henry Lee Corbitt, 88, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, .at his home.
He had been a coal miner and a saw mill and a grain elevator worker.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Catherine (Eastwood); three sons, Thomas Lee of Madisonville, David of Sesser, Ill., and Hubert C. of Nortonville; two brothers, Louis Franklin of Madisonville and Walter Ray of Beulah; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery.

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. — Charles Theodore McGregor, 95, formerly of St. Charles and Mortons Gap, died Tuesday, March 1, 2000, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.
He had been a coal miner and member of the United Mine Workers.
He was a member of the General Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Frances Margaret Brandon of Madisonville and Clara Eudena Johnson of St. Charles; three sons, Charles Freeland of Central City, Herbert and Dennis Owen of Nashville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Verna Eudena, his second wife, Lora Lacy, and a son, Arlen, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m.Saturday at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in Christian Privilege cemetery in St. Charles.

Geraldine King
HENDERSON, Ky. — Geraldine King, 77, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at Methodist Hospital of heart failure.
She had been a Realtor and an insurance agent.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and volunteered with the Kentucky Blind Association. She was a Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are her brother, Norman King of Henderson; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland funeral Home, with burial in Fernwood cemetery.
