Daisy Rose
HENDERSON, Ky. — Daisy C. Rose, 75, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Methodist Hospital of heart failure.
She was a member, president of the Mother’s Board, senior choir member and culinary arts worker at the First Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Nathaniel Collins and Robert E. and Charles Rose, all of Henderson, James Rose Jr. of De Witt, Ark., and John W. Rose Sr. of Indianapolis; a sister, Nora Smith of Morganfield; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Daisy Cabell, died in 1999.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson with burial in Fernwood cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel is handling arrangements.
W. Scott Nalley
CALHOUN, Ky. — W. Scott Nalley, 56, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He was a farmer, a licensed paramedic with Methodist Hospital in Henderson, and an emergency medical services instructor. He was a volunteer fireman.
He was a member of the Pleasant Hope General Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa (Dunn); a stepdaughter, Kimberly N. Dixon of Arlington, Tenn.; a son, Jeff of Owensboro; a stepson, Jarrett K. Nantz of Paducah; and a grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Home Calhoun Chapel, with burial in Pleasant Hope cemetery in McLean County.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Henderson Regional Hospital Foundation or Scott Nalley E.M.S. Scholarship Fund.
Pansey Garrett
PRINCETON, Ky. — Pansey E. Garrett, 87, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa.
She retired from the Princeton Hosiery Mill as a knitter.
Surviving is a brother, John H. Hopper of Princeton. Her husband, Henry W., died in 1969.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Cedar Hill cemetery. There will be no visitation at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Timothy Thomason
DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. — Timothy Ray “T.R.” Thomason, 41, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at his home in Mount Juliet, Tenn., of cancer.
He was the owner and operator of TRT Entertainment and had worked as a television and radio technician in Tennessee.
He was a member of the Silver Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra; a daughter, CaSandra Raye Thomason of Mount Juliet; his mother, Marie (Shaw) Thomason of Hopkinsville; and three sisters, Cynthia Hillman of Hopkinsville and Jo Goodwin and Brenda Cummins, both of Dawson Springs.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in Creekmur cemetery in Caldwell County.

Barbara Noel
MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Barbara Jean Noel, 62, formerly of Madisonville, died Saturday at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville of heart failure.
She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Madisonville and the senior choir.
She was a member of the Ladies of the Eighties Auxiliary Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Michelle Noel Whitaker of Clarksville, Tenn.; a sister, Linda Bowman of Detroit; a brother, Tito Noel of Evansville; and four grandchildren, Wesley Noel and Tyland, Tyrone Jr. and Tiffany Whitaker.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with burial in Oakwood cemetery in Earlington.

Charles Stone
HENDERSON, Ky. — Charles H. “Charlie” Stone, 42, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He was a member of the Sebree Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa; a daughter, Melissa Bellew of Henderson; a son, Daniel of Henderson; his mother, Mandy Stone of Henderson; two sisters, Shirley Stone and Mary Katherine Sheeley, both of Henderson; three brothers, Aubrey, Carroll Wayne and Charles, all of Henderson; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with burial in Old Cedar Grove cemetery in Webster County.

Carlyn Childress
PRINCETON, Ky. — Carlyn C. Childress, 87, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at his home of an apparent heart attack.
He had been a carpenter and was a deacon at the Second Baptist Church in Princeton.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Verna (Thomas); two daughters, Glenda Osborne of Princeton and Sue Son of Madisonville; a son, the Rev. Gary Childress of Hopkinsville; two sisters, Evalee Hanna of Pasadena, Texas, and Pauline Coffman of Trenton, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Hill cemetery.

Gwendolene Pitke
PRINCETON, Ky. — Gwendolene M. Pitke, 94, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at the Lynchburg Nursing Home in Tennessee.
She retired as office manager of the Kentucky Utilities in Sturgis.
She was a member of the Ogden United Methodist Church in Princeton.
There are no immediate survivors. Her husband, Edward Franklin, died in 1978.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Hill cemetery.

Ollie Morse
PRINCETON, Ky. — Ollie Morse, 102, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa.
She was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mae Byrd of Carlsbad, N.M., Wilma Board of Princeton and Georgia Endicott of Poseyville, Ind.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Will Ed, and two daughters, Lois Watson, and Katherine Jean Morse.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with burial in Sugar Creek Church cemetery.

Eugene Watts
MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Eugene Watts, 71, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at his home. He was a hospice patient.
He had been a dairyman and member of Teamsters Local 179 in Joliet, Ill.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and member of American Legion Post 6 in Madisonville.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda L. Jones, Cheryl J. Watts-Curtis and Kathie Garza, all of Centerville, Iowa; three sons, Eugene E. of Burbank, Ill., and Jeffrey A. and Walter A., both of Sauk Village, Ill.; four sisters, Evelyn Clayton of Osceola, Ind., Nancy Vanderveer of Madisonville, Martha Offield of Independence, Mo., and Bertha Shugar of McPherson, Kan.; two brothers, Stanley of Madisonville and Jerry of Dawson Springs; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and his companion, Pauline.
His wife, Delma June (Burnett), died in 1986.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial pending.

Bertha Berry
HENDERSON, Ky. — Bertha (Tapp) Berry, 95, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Redbanks Nursing Home.
She owned and operated Bertha’s Variety Store in downtown Corydon in the 1960s.
She was a member of Corydon General Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Pauline Croft of Salem and Birdie Chancellor of Henderson; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, in 1969, and by a son, Bob, in 1996.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, with burial in Corydon cemetery in Corydon.
