Mary Leger, 62, of Independence, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil Leger; daughters, Faye Johnson fo Independence and Reva Patterson of Walton; a son, Keith Leger of Burlington; a brother, Raymond Bullock of Broadhead; a sister, Dessie Robinson of Mt. Vernon; half-sisters, Louise Kirby of Mt. Vernon of Vivian Griffin of Stanford; half-brothers, Edward Dean Bullock and Anthony Bullock, both of Frankfort; and stepbrothers, Donald Rader of Stanford and Ronald Rader of Orlando.
Services will be noon Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014.

Joseph B. List, 76, of Walton, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a retired car man with L&N Railroad and a member of St. Cecilia Church, Independence. He also was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Robinson List; sons, Joseph L. List of Covington, George A. List of Demossville and John B. List of Moscow, Ohio; and sisters, Edna Cox of Erlanger, Adalene Taylor of Butler, Margaret Atkins of Covington and Loraine Witt of Latonia; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

Cecilia Nutini, 93, of Highland Heights, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday at Lakeside Place Nursing Home in Highland Heights.
She was a seamstress and a member of Sts. Boniface and James Church, Ludlow. Her husband, Etalo Nutini, died in 1954.
Survivors include a son, Edward J. Nutini of Villa Hills; a brother, Carl Frilling of Port Richie, Fla.; and a sister, Virginia Lear of Mason, Ohio; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

Ruth Sigman, 78, of Dayton, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was president of the Senior Citizens Club of Speers Court Apartments, Dayton, and a member of the Senior Citizens Kazoo Band there.
Survivors include a sister, Marjorie Newman of Crestline, Ohio; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 26 at Speers Court.

Louise G. Steinmann, 95, of Ft. Thomas, died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday at Lakeside Place Nurs ing Home, Highland Heights. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Hans Steinmann, died in 1969.
Survivors include a son, Donald P. Steinmann of Cold Spring; a daughter, Evelyn R. Price of Pineville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Rev. Harley Hensley, from miner to evangelist
Rev. Harley Hensley became a minister late in life.
But that didn't stop him from having an active ministry that reached people in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia and Michigan.
"He preached sinners to repent. Everyone loved him. He was a good father and a good husband," said his wife of 63 years, Audrey M. Hensley. "He was loved by everyone and had lots of friends in different states."
Rev. Hensley, 79, of Taylor Mill, died Monday at his home. He was an evangelist and member of the Community Pentecostal Church in Independence. A son, Robert Hensley, died in 1995.
Rev. Hensley was from Harlan County, where he was a coal miner for many years. He moved to Northern Kentucky in 1952 and lived in Newport and Ft. Thomas. He worked at the General Electric plant in Evendale for four years and later began his ministry from his home.
Rev. Hensley played the guitar and sang country music. He toured in a band with family members.
Other survivors include sons, Harley Hensley Jr. of Independence, Dennis Hensley and John Hensley Jr., both of Taylor Mill, and Jesse Hensley of Williamstown; daughters, Barbara Ballard of Independence, Irene Schwaller of Taylor Mill and Judy Ireland of Florence; sisters, Mary Prizer and Leona Breashers, both of Dayton, Ohio; 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Betty Jane Burroughs Cochran, 73, of Independence, died Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Community Pentecostal Church, Independence. Her husband, Delbert Cochran, died in 1996.
Survivors include sons, Robert Lee Smith of Independence and Teddy Ray Cochran of Louisville; daughters, Shirley Ann Perkins of Cincinnati and Vickie Lynn Lay of Crittenden; a stepsister, Carolyn Points of Covington; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Robert Lawrence Harman, 48, of Ludlow, was found dead Nov. 9 at his home. He was known locally as Robert Lay.
Survivors include a daughter, Christie Lee Harman of Minnesota; his parents, Robert and Wanda Harman of Kent, Wash.; and a sister, Shelly Christin Harman of Albany, Ore.

John Carl Holman, 77, of Florence, died at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at his home. He was a retired cell owner with General Electric, and a retired Senior Master Sgt. in the Air Force. He was a member of Florence Masonic Lodge No. 949 F&AM, Indra Consistory Scottish Rite and the Syrian Shrine. He also was a member of York Rite, and Knights Templar.
Survivors include his wife, Lola Scott Holman; daughters, Carolyn Holman of Florence and Donna Holman Hines of Woodruff, S.C.; a sister, Mary Wilhite of Connersville, Ind.; brothers, Maurice E. Holman of Brookville, Ind., and Robert E. Holman of Melbourne, Fla.; and one grandchild.

Ruth Jarvis,, 83, of Newport, died at 11:30 a.m. Friday at University Hospital, Cincinnati. She was a retired employee of Atlas Dry Cleaners.

Ellsworth "Kenny" Kidwell, 63, of Astor, Fla., formerly of Covington, died Saturday at his home. He was a member of Teamsters Local No. 100, Cincinnati, and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

James William Wolfe, 79, of Williamstown, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown. He was a retired mechanic and farmer.
Survivors include brothers, Everett Lee Wolfe of Covington and Ralph Edward Wolfe of Florence; and sisters, Anna Margaret McKinney of Villa Hills and Nora Mae Woolf of Crescent Springs.

Ruth Tanner McKibben, organist
For 40 years the sound of Ruth Tanner McKibben playing the organ filled the far reaches of Florence Baptist Church.
She started playing piano for the church in the early 1940s and switched to the organ in 1949. She retired in 1981.
Mrs. McKibben, 85, died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday at Woodspoint Nursing Home in Florence.
"She was a lady with a lot of determination," said a daughter-in-law, Jan McKibben of Florence. "She was an encourager. She played for youth choirs and encouraged them to try out for parts, and helped them work on their parts after school. That was her life."
Her mother played piano in church and her father was the congregational music leader at the time. One of her sons, Stephen McKibben of Charlotte, N.C., is minister of music at a church there.
In addition to her musical talent, Mrs. McKibben was athletic as a youth.
A son, William McKibben of Florence, said he has a photo of her on the Lloyd High School girls' basketball team of 1928. Her team won the regional championship and played in the state tournament, Mr. McKibben said.
Mrs. McKibben's family, the Tanners, settled in Boone County nearly two centuries ago.
Her husband, Harold R. McKibben, died in 1996.
Other survivors include a sister, Glenna Marie Cramer of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Florence Baptist Church. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Stith Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.
Anita Faye Brown, 63, of Wilton Manors, Fla., formerly of Ludlow, died Tuesday at her home in Florida.
