Annalee Talbott Huebschman

NEWTONVILLE, Ind. -- Annalee Talbott Huebschman, 80, of Evanston, Ind., died Sept. 21, 2004, at 12:55 a.m. at Beverly Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Tell City, Ind. She was born Oct. 7, 1923, in Newtonville. Annalee was preceded in death by her husband, Werner, in 1998. They were married
on June 30, 1957. She worked at General Electric for 22 years, retired in 1967 and later worked at 3D Department Store in Tell City for 10 years. She was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Chrisney, Ind., and she enjoyed traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Werner Huebschman; her father, Charles Talbott; her mother, Daisy Shimer Talbott; and two brothers, Herschel Talbott and Harold Talbott.
Survivors include nephews, Darryl Talbott of Tell City, Robert Talbott of Newburgh, Ind., Darwin Talbott of Rome, Ind., and Terry Talbott of Santa Claus, Ind.; a niece, Diana Schoolcraft of Tell City; sisters-in-law Betty Clark, Selma Lorenz and Mildred Mulzer of Tell City, Leona Kleaving of St. Marks, Ind., and Marcella Slack of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers-in-law Harry Huebschman of Tell City and Robert and Clarence Huebschman of Evanston; seven great-nieces and nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, 920 10th St. in Tell City. Burial will take place in New Hope cemetery in Newtonville. Visitation will be today, Sept. 22, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and Thursday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Lauritta Powell Lambert

Lauritta Powell Lambert, 80, of 911 E. Third St., Owensboro, passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Daviess County to the late Athanatious Leo and Mary Helena Calhoun Powell, was a homemaker and had worked at General Electric and at the Carmel Home for about seven years. She was a member of SS. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church. She was an avid quilter and loved gardening and working in her yard. She received a letter of recognition from Mayor Waymond Morris showing her pride for Owensboro. She also loved rodeos and horse racing. She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Lambert, on April 10, 1971; and a sister, Florence Myrle Powell Lambert, on Feb. 24, 1943.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, David and Dianne Lambert of Utica, Dale and Thomasine Lambert of Owensboro, and Randy and Debbie Lambert of Philpot; five daughters and their husbands, Ann and P.I. Ward, Helena "Doll" Redmon, Brenda and Robert Cooper, and Mary and Eddie Evans, all of Owensboro, and Janet and Steve Smith of Georgetown; 26 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Earl Powell of Owensboro and James Leo "Jimmy" Powell of Hartford; and two sisters, Mary Ethyl Tichenor and Elizabeth "Betty" Mattingly, both of Owensboro.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at SS. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church, with burial following in Mater Dolorosa cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today. Charles W. 'Capp' Moore

BEAVER DAM -- Charles W. "Capp" Moore, 76, of Beaver Dam died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at his home. He was born in McHenry, retired from Peabody Coal Star Coal Co., owned Capp Moores Mini Mall Furniture Store, was a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of McHenry Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Render Moore; two sons, Terry and Ruth Ann Moore and Jerry and Rosalee Moore, both of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Stanley Moore of Evansville and Everett "Tooter" Moore of Horse Branch.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time today.
Maxine Odom

Mrs. Maxine Odom, 82, of 1553 Roosevelt Road, Owensboro, formerly of Paducah, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at 12:40 p.m. at Bon Harbor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of Heartland Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Jesse Lawless and Vadah McDonald Lawless Belt Lee; a sister, Laverne; and a brother, Aubrey.
Survivors include a son, Ed Odom of Owensboro; three sisters, Louise Moore of Gilbertsville, Melva Moreland of Pekin, Ill., and Geraldene Dickerson of Paducah; two brothers, Deward Lawless of Michigan and Guy Lawless of Reidland; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem, with the Rev. Don Young officiating. Burial will be in Carrsville cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Thursday until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

David Joseph Parker Jr., 21, of 7221 Old Masonville Road, Owensboro, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004, at his home. He was an employee at Roberts Asphalt.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, David Parker Sr. and Vicky Parker; his adoptive parents, James and Mary Walion; four sisters, Bridget Darmetko, Kelly Parker, Katie McMillian and Colleen McMillian; two stepsisters, Amanda DeGravy and Gloria Hendrickson; a stepbrother, Greg Jasper; and a stepgrandmother, Marion Canarie.

Eutha L. Puckett

Eutha L. Puckett, 71, of 3110 Daviess St. died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at her home. Born in Webster County, a daughter of the late Ivory and Irene Iglehart Lynch, she worked for many years at General Electric and attended Owensboro Christian Church. Dedicated in all ways, her family was her life. Her other interests included crafts and homemaking, including sewing, decoupage, gardening, floral arranging, quilting, knitting and cooking. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Eugene Puckett, in 1999; and a grandson, Jay Puckett, in 1998.
She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Puckett Sr.; her sons, Paul E. Puckett Jr. of Owensboro and Joshua Kevin Puckett of Louisville; her daughter, Sharon Kay Brown of Beaufort, N.C.; her grandchildren, Amanda Catherine Puckett of Louisville, Nathanial Glen Brown of Beaufort, Lea Danielle Tapp of Paducah and Michael Shawn Puckett and Lee Williams, both of Owensboro, her great-grandchildren, Johnathan Taylor Adkisson, Anna Katherine Williams, Elliott Scott Williams and Ayden Adams, all of Owensboro, and Charlotte Darling Tapp of Paducah; her brother, Ronald Dean "Buddy" Lynch of Owensboro; and her sister, Bonnie Faye Hancock of Owensboro.
Services are at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society.
Olive C. 'Chris' Westerfield

Olive C. "Chris" Westerfield, 63, of Owensboro died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at her home. She was born in Carter County on March 2, 1941, to the late James Albert and Mary (Branham) Caudill. She was a homemaker, provided child care and worked at the Cigar Factory for 13 years. She was member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Westerfield, on Dec. 4, 2000.
Survivors include a son, David Allen Puckett of Frankfurt, Germany; two brothers, John Paul Caudill of Decatur, Ill., and David Caudill of Olive Hill; and three sisters, June Anderson of Philpot and Lou Foster and Betty Hagman, both of Owensboro.
Services are at noon Thursday, Sept. 23, at James H. Davis Funeral Home chapel in Owensboro. Burial is in Mount Carmel Baptist Church cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home.
Joshua Bryan Coomes

LAWRENCEBURG -- Joshua Bryan Coomes, 20, of Lawrenceburg, son of Vince and Rebecca Robling Coomes, and the brother of Brandon Yocum and Noah Coomes, all of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was a 2002 graduate of Anderson County High School and had attended St. Leo's School in Versailles. He was also a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg and a carpenter with Gash Construction.
Besides his parents and brothers he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Gwen Coomes of Owensboro; a maternal grandmother, Betty Robling of Hatfield, Ind.; and his great-grandmothers, Stella Gray of Hartford and Pearl Robling of Petersburg, Ind. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mazie Coomes; and his grandfather, Frank Robling. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. EST Wednesday, Sept. 22, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg. Burial will follow at Lawrenceburg cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 21, at Clark Funeral Home in Versailles. Serving as casketbearers will be Jim Thacker, Lanas Tedrow, Zach Beasley, Michael Fawbush, Derek Marsh, Justin Roth and Jonathan Gaines.

Janet I. Hould

Janet I. Hould, wife of Larry Hould, passed away Sept. 17, 2004, at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas. She was born March 8, 1949, in San Angelo, Texas. She was an I.T. professional with the Shriners Hospital for Children of Houston for the past three years, where she was devoted to her work for the children. She served her country in the Air Force, where she met her beloved husband of 36 years. She had a passion for animals, enjoyed softball and golf and loved entertaining friends and family. Janet lifted us up with her love of life and taught us how to laugh. She will be dearly missed!
In addition to her husband, survivors include her son, Chris Hould (Robyn) and grandson, Kyle, of Lexington; parents, Bill and Martha Christian of Newburgh, Ind.; a sister, Paula Kern (Chris) of Richmond, Va.; two brothers Mark Christian (Debbie) of Henderson and Anthony Christian (Tammy) of Newburgh, Ind.; her mother-in-law, Anne Hould of Houston; nine nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
A Mass followed by a celebration of her life is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Blessed Mother Catholic Church, 601 East 23rd St., Owensboro. She will be put to rest at White Chapel in Troy, Mich. Donations in her name can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 6977 Main St., Houston, TX 77030.
