Mary Theresa Lancaster, 84, of Owensboro died at 12:05 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born May 25, 1920, in Owensboro to the late Fred and Anna Burns Lancaster. Miss Lancaster was a devoted Catholic and longtime member of Army of Mary and Oblate Patriots. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John Lancaster, Harold A. Lancaster and Edward Lancaster; and her sisters, Jean Aiken, Virginia Whelan, Margaret Lancaster and Anna Ruth Jackson.
Survivors include her sister, Beatrice Ledford of Owensboro; her nieces, Becky Franey, Connie Hamilton, Margee Lancaster and Terri Lancaster, all of Owensboro, Mary Kay Hines of Frankfort, Della Leopold of Belair, Md., Bonnie Reinhart of Antioch, Tenn., and Janice Pearson of Prospect; and her nephews, David Aiken of Ellicott City, Md., Pat Lancaster of Memphis, Tenn., Fred Whelan, John Lancaster, Rick Lancaster and Bruce Lancaster, all of Owensboro, Tony Lancaster of Charleston, S.C., and Steve Lancaster of LaVergne, Tenn.
Services are at noon Friday at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Army of Mary prayers will be said at 6 p.m. today. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa cemetery. The Rev. Freddie Byrd and the Rev. Joseph Rhodes will officiate. Brenda Cline Midkiff, 53, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004. She was a member of Nickel Ridge Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lois Schenk Cline; and three brothers, Robert Junior, James Walter and Wilbur Carl Cline.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Cline of Owensboro and Gordon Cline of Eddyville; six sisters, Barbara Clawson of Owensboro, Mary Clawson of Friendly Village, Helen Taylor of Magan, Shirley Shouse of Owensboro, Margaret Shreve of Magan and Judy Crouch of Flagger Beach, Fla.; and three brothers, William Lee Cline of Mosleyville, Roy Edward Cline of Hartford and David Louis Cline of Owensboro; and 18 nieces and 18 nephews.

BROWDER -- Paul Oller, 80, of Browder died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was a maintenance technician at Commercial Wallpaper in Hammond, Ind.
Survivors include two sons, Paul D. Oller and Joel T. Oller; a daughter, Pat Miller; two brothers, Glen Oller and Roy Oller; and four sisters, Dottie Truelove, Gladys Stevens, Norma Sides and JoAnn Vick.

Roy Lee Ray

Roy Lee Ray, 70, of 2440 Sullivan Court, Owensboro, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on March 22, 1934, in Maceo to the late Chester and Sarah (Lancaster) Ray. He was a driver for the city of Owensboro in the sanitation and city transit departments. He was a member of Maceo Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher, and was a member of Teamsters Local No. 215. He loved traveling and spending time with his family. He was loved and will be missed by his many friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan Crawford Ray; two daughters, Jennifer (Gary) Bivins and Sabrina (Gary) West, both of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Christina Lowe, Clint Bivins and Casey Bivins, all of Owensboro; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lucy Early of Owensboro, Dorothy Finley of Hardinsburg and Mildred Vincent of Pellville.
Services are at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at James H. Davis Funeral Home chapel in Owensboro. Burial is in Resurrection cemetery in Owensboro. SACRAMENTO -- Nancy Durham Riley, 75, of 1481 Branch School House Road, Sacramento, died at 10:20 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. She was born Aug. 8, 1929, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Central City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Durham and Elsie Durham; and a half brother, William "Billy" Sterling Durham.
Survivors include her husband, Lon Williams "Billy" Riley of Sacramento; two daughters, Judith Carol Noffsinger of Bowling Green and Mary Ann Floyd of Westland, Mich.; a son, Billy York "William" Booth of Santa Monica, Calif.; two sisters, Ann Ruff of Madisonville and Mary Ellen Stewart of Central City; a half brother, James Kenneth Durham of Fern Creek; a half sister, Margaret Jarvis of North Carolina; three grandchildren, John Curtis Noffsinger, Stacy LeAndra Floyd and Matthew Alan Floyd; and three great-grandchildren, Cheyanne Noffsinger, Sydney Noffsinger and Kaidene Alan Floyd.

Myrtie Morris Slinker

ISLAND -- Myrtie Morris Slinker, 83, of Daniels Street, Island, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at her home in Island. Myrtie Mary Morris was born Jan. 10, 1921, in the Graham community of Muhlenberg County to the late Jim and Eula Jane Morris and was later married
to Clarence L. Slinker on Dec. 20, 1939. Myrtie had retired from Sunny Acres Personal Care of Calhoun and was a longtime member of Island Church of God of Prophecy. She especially enjoyed both her family and her church family. Her husband, Clarence Slinker, died Oct. 9, 1990. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Girtie Slinker; and by four brothers, Orville Morris, Dee Morris, J.W. Morris and the Rev. R.T. Morris.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Monzel and Edna Slinker of Sacramento and Carl and Brenda Slinker of Louisville; two daughters and their husbands, Betty and Kenneth Slinker of Versailles and Youlanda and Jimmy Campbell of Rumsey; 12 grandchildren, the Rev. Troy Slinker, Mischelle Nelson, Shannon Slinker, Angel Carlise, Susan Callis, Eddie Simpson, Kelly Burdette, Kenneth Howard, Scott Campbell, Brittany Campbell, Leslie Fontenot and Kitty Ruth Howard; 24 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Roy Morris of Louisville; a half brother, Curtis Morris of Sacramento; and a half sister, Louise Johnson of Island.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Island Church of God of Prophecy with Sister Carolyn Erwin and the Rev. Troy Slinker officiating. Burial will be in Island Community cemetery. Friends may visit with the Slinker family from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. A video tribute of Mrs. Myrtie Slinker's life will be presented at 7 p.m. today at Musters in Livermore.

Rena Goodman Will

BRADENTON, Fla. -- Rena Mae Raines Goodman Will, 82, of Bradenton died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Blake Medical Center. She was born Aug. 23, 1922, in Horse Branch to the late Orville Rains and Susan Rebecca Leisure and was a homemaker and mother. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Levi Eviton Goodman, on March 21, 1987; and a stepson, Levi Goodman Jr., on Nov. 7, 1987.
Survivors include her husband, Earl M. Will of Bradenton; two daughters, Doris Schatz of Green Valley, Ariz., and Linda Demith of Nashville; a stepdaughter, Christine Mercer of Smyrna, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home. Visitation is at the funeral home after noon Saturday. Burial will be in Sunnyside cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Cotton Calhoun Boger

Cotton Calhoun Boger passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, in Carmel, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Louise Calhoun. Cotton was a student at OCHS and graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy. She also served in the U.S. Navy.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, William Boger; two sons, William Paul and wife Liz, and Hugh Gordon; a daughter, Stacy and her husband, Chad Hanefeld; five sisters, Martha Jane and Jack Werning of Rockville, Md., Mary Ann Calhoun and Melissa Stengol of Owensboro, Beth and Bill Henderson of Cincinnati and Sue Ellen and Bill Kivelle of Holly Springs, Miss.; three brothers, Hugh H. and wife Connie of Radcliff, John Ralph and wife Frieda of Owensboro and George Sam of Lexington; four grandsons, William, Matthew and Steven Boger and Carter Hanefeld; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cotton will be greatly missed by all family and friends. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the funeral home.

NASHVILLE -- Nancy Wallace Crecelius, 94, of 3672 Tampa Drive, Nashville, died at 11:20 p.m., Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at her residence. She was born May 9, 1910, in Muhlenberg County and was a member of Methodist Church in Princeton, Ind.
Survivors include a daughter, Sally and David Polan of Nashville; a sister, Kathryn Iler of Central City; a stepdaughter, Sylvia Crecelius of Princeton, Ind.; a stepson, Jim and Margaret Crecelius of Fort Wayne, Ind.; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Jeff DiMatties officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 22, at the funeral home.
Alma Mitchell Goode

Alma Mitchell Goode, 89, of 8850 U.S. 431, Utica, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on July 19, 1915, in Owensboro to the late W.J. and Nora (Spencer) Mitchell. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church. She enjoyed UK basketball, her flowers, birds, kids, grandkids and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stiles Goode, on Aug. 29, 1987.
She is survived by two sons, William A. Goode and James T. Goode of Utica; a daughter, Carole Goode Riddle, of Utica; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at James H. Davis Funeral Home chapel in Owensboro. Burial is in Rosehill cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
