CENTRAL CITY - The Rev. Robert Daugherty, 88, of Everly Brothers Boulevard, Central City, died at 10:15 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was born in Ohio County on Aug. 8, 1915. He was a minister for 45 years at Central City Apostolic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Daugherty; and a daughter, Betty Daugherty.
Survivors include a daughter, Delores Dukes of Central City; a son-in-law, Lowell Dukes of Central City; a grandson, Billy Bob Dukes of Central City; a granddaughter, Staci James of Central City; a great-grandson, Lucas James; a sister, Ruby Renfrow of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are at 2 p.m. today, May 21, at Tucker Funeral Home, 113 North Third St., in Central City, with the Rev. Robert Cavaness and the Rev. Wayne Schroader officiating, assisted by the Rev. David Minton. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Ohio County.
Mary Helen Mahlinger

Mary Helen Mahlinger, 88, of 1530 Bosley Road, Owensboro, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born Feb. 20, 1916, to the late Ernest and Mildred Turner Gough in Daviess County. She was a lifelong member of Owensboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday school class and the Cumberland Presbyterian Women. She was a homemaker and a member of Owensboro Woman's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Charles Mahlinger Sr., who died Jan. 7, 1997.
Survivors include a son, Charles and his wife Heather Mahlinger of Owensboro; two daughters, Barbara Logsdon of Owensboro and Luanne and her husband Jim Mitchell of Barbourville; seven grandchildren, James Gregory Mitchell, Marianna Mitchell Wells, Amy Mitchell Jarboe, Sara Elizabeth Logsdon, David Matthew Logsdon, Taylor Elizabeth Mahlinger and Mackenzie Lee Mahlinger; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Harreld of Hammond, Ind.; a brother, Milton and wife Ruth Gough of Owensboro; and also several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Owensboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 910 Booth Ave., Owensboro, KY 42301.
Emogene Wolfe

Emogene Wolfe, 74, of 2420 W. Third St., Owensboro, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on Aug. 17, 1929, in Daviess County to the late James A. and Iva (Newcom) Hatcher. She was a member of Crabtree Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Gardner of Arizona and William Eugene Gardner of Oregon; a daughter, Belinda Gail Bloyd of Chicago; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her twin sister, Gwen Hatcher of Owensboro; and her former sister-in-law, Lelia Gardner of Stanley.
There will be a memorial service at a later date. James H. Davis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Robert 'Bob' L. Sergesketter

LINCOLN CITY, Ind. - Robert "Bob" L. Sergesketter, 80, of Lincoln City died Thursday, May 20, 2004 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was a farmer.
Survivors include a son, Mark Sergesketter; a daughter, Ginger Sergesketter; a brother, John Sergesketter; and three sisters, Blanche Arnold, Bernice Hohl and Rosalee Thomas.

HARDINSBURG - Mary Elizabeth Grause, 83, of Hardinsburg died there Friday, May 21, 2004. She was former owner and operator of Eleanor Beard Studio and a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church.

CENTRAL CITY - Randall Carroll Ferguson, 61, of Central City died Friday, May 21, 2004, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. He was a self-employed tree trimmer, a member of Maple Grove General Baptist Church and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Blanch McIntosh Ferguson; a stepson, Darrell Vincent; seven stepdaughters, Loretta Bobo, Brenda Phillips, Sharon Whitmer, Joan Koller, Deborah Statts, Linda Haley and Melody Mercer; and two brothers, Edward Ferguson and Bobby Ferguson.

CONSTANTINE - Beulah Goodman, 73, of Constantine died Monday, May 24, 2004, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was a member of Constantine United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Walter "Clarence" Goodman; two sons, Kendall Goodman and Damon Keith Goodman; a daughter, Cheryl Goodman; and a brother, Charles Boyd Robinson.

James William Jowers Jr.

MADISONVILLE - James William Jowers Jr., 88, of Madisonville died Friday, May 21, 2004, at 12:30 p.m. in the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville after a short illness. He was born in Jackson County, Tenn., the son of James William Jowers Sr. and Sallie Pearl Fronabarger Jowers. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy. He was retired from the Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. of Detroit as a draftsman.
He is survived by a son, Rodger Jowers of Newburgh, Ind.; a daughter, Linda Wheatley of Dixon; four grandchildren, Kimberly Smith of Dixon, Barbara West of Newburgh, John Jowers of Madisonville and Jennifer Richmond of Slaughters; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 23, 2004, at 3 p.m. from Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Bobby Reno officiating. Burial will be in Cherry Grove cemetery in Weir. Friends may call at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville on Sunday, May 23, 2004, from 1 to 3 p.m.

DRAKESBORO - Bridget Michelle Glenn, 21, of Drakesboro died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at the Powderly-Cleaton cut-off road in Central City. She worked at Kroger and was a member of Bevier Presbyterian Church in Cleaton.
Survivors include her parents, Robert and Sharon Glenn; and two sisters, Kellie Glenn and Rebecca Glenn.

Lorraine Hurt Morehead 72, of Calhoun, Kentucky. Died Tuesday March 4, 2003 at the Owensboro Mercy Health Systems in Owensboro. She was born in Summit, Illinois, and was a register nurse having worked for the late Dr. Gerald Edds’ Office in Calhoun, the McLean County Health Department, and at the former McLean County General Hospital in Calhoun. She was a member of the Calhoun Christian Church, and was a 1951 Graduate of the Owensboro – Daviess County Hospital School of Nursing. She also enjoyed her family, friends, painting, and her church. She was preceded in death by a son, Merlin E. “Bimbo” Morehead died March 1, 1963; and her husband, Merlin E. Morehead died December 9, 1990.
Survivors include a son Craig Morehead of Calhoun. Two grandchildren Sarah Morehead of Calhoun, and Jeramy Kelly of Owensboro. A brother Lawrence “Larry” Hurt of Palos Hills, Illinois. And a sister Pat Glen of Western Springs, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Calhoun Christian Church. Burial will be in the Calhoun cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Jerry R. Coakley, 40, of Utica, Kentucky. Died Sunday March 16, 2003 at the Owensboro Mercy Health Systems. He was born in Chicago, was a licensed Paramedic Graduate Emergency Medical Technician for McLean County Ambulance Service and the Owensboro – Daviess County Emergency Medical Service. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and was awarded Certification of Special Congressional Recognition of Outstanding and Invaluable Service to the Community, and was a member of the U.M.P. King of Dirt Racing Association. He also enjoyed auto racing, NASCAR, and his children.
Survivors include his wife Marietta K. Coakley. Two sons Jeremy Coakley, and Christopher Coakley both of Rumsey. A daughter Jordan Coakley at home. A step son John Wolf of Oklahoma. His parents R.C. & Wilma Coakley of Calhoun. His grandmother Clemmie Coakley of Rumsey. And two sisters Terri Coakley of Madisonville, and Kimberly Thompson of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Calhoun cemetery. Visitation is from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
