LOUISVILLE -- Georgia Frazier Reed, 71, of Louisville, formerly of Powderly, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at her home in Louisville. The Powderly native was a member of West End Baptist Church in Louisville and had worked at Swift Meat Packing Co. She was preceded in death by her husband, McKinley Reed, in 1992; and a son, Ronnie Keith Reed.
Survivors include two sons, McKinley Reed and the Rev. Jerome Reed, both of Louisville; two daughters, Jacquelin Stone and Lynette Thomas, both of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Wilbert Frazier of Paducah; a sister, Jessie Shelton of Greenville; several nephews and nieces; and several cousins.
Services are at 11 a.m. EDT Wednesday at West End Baptist Church in Louisville. Burial will be in Browder cemetery. Visitation is after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Bibbs Funeral Home in Greenville is handling arrangements.
Lou Etta Rice

GLOBE, Ariz. -- Lou Etta Rice, 71, of Globe, formerly of Dale, Ind., died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, from heart failure. The Dale native was a member of Dale United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and graduated from Dale High School in 1948. She played professional baseball and softball with the Arizona Ramblers, was an educator for 29 years at Globe High school and served in the Air Force from 1949 to 1951.
Survivors include three brothers, Tyrus Rice of Dale, Vernon Rice of Salinas, Calif., and William Rice of Newburgh, Ind.; four nephews and five nieces; 16 great-nephews and great-nieces; two aunts; and two cousins.
Private services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fuller Funeral Home and Crematory, Dale chapel. Burial will be in Dale cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Deaconess Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospice.

DERBY, Ind. -- Karen D. Button, 57, of Derby died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Perry County (Ind.) Hospital in Tell City, Ind. The Carson City, Mich., native was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts and computer games.
Survivors include her companion, James Harris of Derby; two sons, Russell Roberts of Bay City, Mich., and Douglas Lyons of Derby; three daughters, Judy Hammond of Baton Rouge, La., Rhonda Ramirez of Bay City and Michelle Knapp of Shephard, Mich.; three stepsons, Herman Button Jr. of Cannelton, Ind., Earl M. Button of Shephard and Arnold Button of Mount Pleasant, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Wilmot of Tell City and Debbie Button of Goshen, Ind.; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Rex Ebnit of Sanford, Mich., Delance "Butch" Alward of Alma, Mich., and Terry Ebnit of Riverdale, Mich.; and two sisters, Shirley Roberts of New Mexico and Beverly Ebnit of Texas.
Services are at 11 a.m. EST Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home in Tell City. Burial will be in Lilly Dale cemetery. Visitation is after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or Lilly Dale cemetery.

RICHLAND, Ind. -- Rosalee T. Goodwin, 73, of Richland died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at her home from cancer. The Chrisney, Ind., native was a homemaker. Her husband, Robert Goodwin, died in 1978.
Survivors include a son, Robert Goodwin of Grandview, Ind.; three daughters, Kathy Coomes of Hatfield, Ind., Penny Naegele of Richland and Peggy Sue Goodwin of Eureka, Ind.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six sisters, Lillian Reisz, Mary Smith and Revalee Davis, all of Rockport, Ind., Nila Smith of Newtonville, Ind., and Emma Rose Wildt and Veneta Laphart, both of Boonville, Ind.; and several nephews and nieces.
Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will be in James Parker cemetery in Hatfield. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Vista Hospice.

CENTRAL CITY -- Nelda Fuller, 88, of Central City, formerly of Owensboro, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Belle Meade Nursing Home in Central City. She was a McLean County native. She was preceded in death by four husbands, Marvin Maddox, Ray Harrison, Bernice Underwood and Bill Fuller; and a daughter, Melverda Withrow.
Survivors include two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Kinnley Arnold of Hartford; and a sister, Anna Shaklee of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Gibson & Son Funeral Home in Hawesville is in charge of arrangements.

MORGANTOWN -- Jeffrey E. Beasley, 38, of Morgantown died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Trin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. The Grayson County native was a logger.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Tarrance Beasley; two sons, Scotty Beasley and Jason Beasley, both of Morgantown; a daughter, Tabitha Lynn Beasley of Indianapolis; his mother, Lonie Burden Beasley of Morgantown; six brothers, Jerry Beasley, Melvin Beasley, Roger Beasley, Jimmy Beasley and Kenny Beasley, all of Morgantown, and Larry Beasley of Horse Branch; three sisters, Rita Jenkins and Kaye Givens, both of Huntsville, and Nina Mason of Morgantown; and several nephews and nieces; and several cousins.
Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Funeral Chapel in Morgantown. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Church cemetery near Morgantown. Visitation is after 10 a.m. today at the the funeral home.
Robert Jackson 'Jack' Chaney

HENDERSON -- Robert Jackson "Jack" Chaney, 55, of Henderson died there Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, at Methodist Hospital. He was a mechanic at Grand Eagle Coal Mine and was a combat engineer veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Chaney; two sons, B.J. Chaney of Smith Mills and Keith Bailey of Sebree; two daughters, Becky Montgomery of Morganfield and Mindy Chaney of Lexington; seven grandchildren; five brothers, the Rev. Ralph Chaney and the Rev. Herbert Dale Chaney, both of Reed, William Donald Chaney of Henderson, Audie Chaney of Owensboro and Richard Chaney of Baskett; and four sisters, Polly Cobb of Corydon, Sue Bush of Spottsville, Barbara Merida of Evansville and Judy Durham of Crestwood.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson. Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery in Henderson. Full military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

MADISONVILLE -- Gary Bobo Bozeman Sr., 46, of Madisonville, formerly of Muhlenberg County, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at Senior Citizens Nursing Home in Madisonville after a long illness. The Russellville, Ala., native was a construction worker and laid foundations on the ocean floor.
Survivors include a son, Gary Bobo Bozeman Jr. of Madisonville; a daughter, Shelly Marie Bozeman of Winchester, Ind.; his father, R.D. Bozeman of Earlington; two sisters, Shelia Pendley of Madisonville and Kathy Ann Hawkins of Earlington; and several nephews and nieces.
Services were Saturday at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Green River Hospice.

BEAVER DAM -- Irvin Lewis Leach, 60, of Beaver Dam died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at University of Louisville Hospital. The Rosine native was a carpenter and member of Oak Grove Church of God in Cromwell. He was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 1359 and Beaver Dam Masonic Lodge No. 420 F&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Faye Leach; a son, Edward Leach of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Traci Carver of Rockport, Ky., and Kimberly Moore of Beaver Dam; a grandson; his mother, Damie Mae Leach of Beaver Dam; a brother, Howard Leach of Hendersonville, Tenn., and a sister, Ruth Austin of Beaver Dam.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Oak Grove Church of God. Burial will be in Sunnyside cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church. Masonic services are at 7 p.m. Thursday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.

EVANSVILLE -- Joseph Henry Tinsley Jr., 49, of Evansville died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Westpark Rehabilitation Center. The Owensboro native retired from Glenmore Distillery after 23 years of service and was a member of Pleasant Point Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Marine Corps veteran and enjoyed sports and yard sales.
Survivors include two son, Arlando Tinsley of Owensboro and Joseph D. Tinsley of Augusta, Ga.; two daughters, Monica Nelson of Indianapolis and Jereeta L. Tinsley of Owensboro; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth B. Tinsley of Jacksonville, Fla., and James A. Tinsley of Owensboro; two sisters, Joanne Tinsley Kendall and Rita Tinsley Moorman, both of Owensboro; several nephews and nieces; and several cousins.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Street Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Point cemetery in Pleasant Ridge. Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Young's Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements. Dana Leah Carpenter

Dana Leah Carpenter, 39, of Utica died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at her home. The Owensboro native graduated from Daviess County High School, received bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from Western Kentucky University and was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. She had worked at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, St. Paul Hospital in Dallas and was attending chiropractic school at Parker Community College.
Survivors include her mother, Renetta Sutherlin Carpenter of Masonville; two brothers, James Dennis Carpenter and Dean Lee Carpenter, both of Masonville; and four nephews and two nieces.
Services are at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. REYNOLDS STATION -- Michele Ann Johnson, 38, formerly of Reynolds Station died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Kentucky 144 in 1997. The Passaic, N.J., native had worked at Davis Electric/Construction in Hawesville. Her husband, Terry Lee Johnson Sr., died in 1997 following the automobile accident.
Services are pending at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro.
