TELL CITY, Ind. -- Sylvia Little, 75, of Tell City died there Friday, May 4, 2001, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. The Tell City native retired from General Electric in 1986 after 32 years of service.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Shirley Edward Little; two sons, Kent Little of Lewisport and John D. Little of Tell City; two daughters, Linda "Jody" Gelarden of Rocky Point, Ind., and Jenny Sissom of Greenwood, Ind.; four grandsons; and six granddaughters.
Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Visiting Nurse Association.
Grace Ann Lucas

Grace Ann Lucas, 78, of 3856 Bordeaux Loop South, Owensboro, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Leetonia, Ohio, native was a telephone operator at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh, a veteran of World War II and member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Verner Lucas; a son, James Keith Lucas of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Powers of Owensboro and Susan Jean Tumey of Niceville, Fla.; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother, William T. Gibson of Salem, Ohio.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Ethelene Likens

Ethelene Likens, 95, of 1001 W. Parrish Ave., Owensboro, died Friday, May 4, 2001, at Riverside Manor Nursing Home in Calhoun. The Ohio County native retired from Sorgho Elementary School as a cook and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Her husband, William Courtney Likens, died Aug. 31, 1979.
Survivors include several nephews and nieces.
Services are at 2:30 p.m. Monday at James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Sorgho cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Hazel Wood Hebert

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Hazel Wood Hebert, 95, of Tucson, formerly of Owensboro, died April, 9, 2001 in Tuscon. The Henderson native retired from Robinson's May as a retail sales clerk.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Gerald Hayden Jr. of Tucson; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Owensboro Memorial Gardens, Christ Chapel. There is no visitation. Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to TMC Hospice, 5301 E. Grant, Tucson, AZ 85712.
Mabel R. Bickett

Mabel R. Bickett, 94, of Owensboro died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at Heartland Villa in Lewisport. The Hancock County native was a homemaker and member of West Point Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, Bingo, Whitesville Senior Citizens and her grandchildren. Her husband, Lee Bickett, died May 20, 1975.
Survivors include a son, Joe "Sonny" Bickett of Reynolds Station; four daughters, Helen Brown of Whitesville, Betty Edwards of Statesville, N.C., Ruby Taylor of Lewisport and Mary Rumage of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to West Point Baptist Church cemetery Fund.

ISLAND -- Clayton H. Arnold, 77, of Island died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Muhlenberg County native was a retired construction worker. He was a Baptist and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Tommy Adkins of Washington; a daughter, Jackie Popwell of Russell Springs; several grandchildren; and a sister, Alta Thomason of Kuttawa.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in Island Methodist cemetery. GREENVILLE -- Ruby Dee Gentry, 88, of Greenville died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. The Hopkins County native was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and retired as a sales clerk from Jerry's Department Store in Madisonville. Her husband, David Hall Gentry, died in 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy Berkley Clark of Greenville and Patricia G. Gentry of Montmorenci, S.C.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. today at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will be in Bethlehem cemetery in Madisonville. Visitation is after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Evelyn M. Young

CANNELTON, Ind. -- Evelyn M. Stowe Young, 67, of Cannelton died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand, Ind., from complications from recent aneuryism surgery. The Perry County, Ind., native retired from Schwab Safe Co. in Cannelton after 20 years, was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cannelton and enjoyed quilting, cooking, traveling, gardening and her grandchildren. Her daughter, Cheryl Young, died in 1978.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Shelby Young; two sons, Duane D. Young of Fresno, Calif., and Timothy W. Young of Hawesville; four grandchildren; and a brother, Maurice Stowe of Cannelton.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Cannelton. Burial will be in New Cliff cemetery in Cannelton. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton chapel. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to First United Methodist Church.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- G.B. Harris, 85, of Battle Creek, formerly of Owensboro, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at home after a brief illness. The Butler, Ill., native retired from Sears and Roebuck Stores in 1977 and was store manager in Owensboro for 20 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Battle Creek and former member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church in Owensboro.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marjorie Swift; two sons, Jerry Harris of Seattle and John Harris of Battle Creek; four grandchildren; a stepbrother, Charles Emery of Phoenix; and a stepsister, Mary Helen Naumann of Bridgeton, Mo.
Services were private. Interment will be at a later date in Elmwood cemetery in Litchfield, Ill. Farley-Estes and Dowdle Funeral Home in Battle Creek is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Lifespan/Good Samaritan Hospice or Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Battle Creek.

CHRISNEY, Ind. -- Liling W. Graham, 45, of Chrisney died Monday, May 21, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital in Huntingburg, Ind., from cancer. The Evansville native was a homemaker, a member and worship leader at Owensboro Covenant Church and a member of Spencer County (Ind.) Home Educators.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Louis V. Graham; two sons, Levi J. Graham and Daniel L. Graham, both of Chrisney; a daughter, Leah A. Graham of Chrisney; a stepson, Brett Graham of Illinois; a grandchild; her mother, YetGan Wong; two brothers, Tom Wong of Chicago and Don Wong of Napa, Calif.; and a sister, Mona Coles of Pensacola, Fla.
Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Ind. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery in Chrisney. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

HOPKINSVILLE -- Pamela Sue Rose Prince, 47, of Hopkinsville died Thursday, May 3, 2001, at her home. The Muhlenberg County native was a school teacher at Barkley Elementary School, a born-again Baptist and taught at Hughes Kirk School in Beechmont for two years.
Survivors include her son, Jarrett Prince of Hopkinsville; her mother, Loretta Rose of Powderly; three brothers, Sonny Rose, Tim Rose and Jeff Rose, all of Central City; a half brother, Bobby Oller of Beaver Dam; and two sisters, Pat Ewing of Drakesboro and Kim Gardner of Knoxville, Tenn.
Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

MORGANTOWN -- Edward L. Tines, 72, of Cromwell died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Muhlenberg County native worked as a pipe fitter and a farmer. He was a member of Green River Baptist Church and Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 669.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen Sparrow Tines; a son, John Tines of Leitchfield; a daughter, Julie Frank of Leitchfield; four grandchildren; and three sisters, Bess Kitchens and Mae Keys, both of Indianapolis, and Corrine Smith of Casa, Ark.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Chapel in Morgantown. Burial will be in Sandy Creek cemetery. Visitation is at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
