She is survived by a son, Charles E. Grote Jr. of Lawrenceburg; daughters, Betty Rives of Shelbyville, Janis Brock of Southport, North Carolina.
A private family graveside service was held Tuesday at Grove Hill cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Georgetown College. Hall-Taylor Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Rita J. Johnson, 54, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004.
She was a native of Rockford, Ill.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Johnson of Shelbyville; daughter, Amy Engleking of North Vernon, Ind.; a son, Jason Johnson of Edinburgh, Ind.; brothers, Dwayne Trafford of Oklahoma City, Okla., Victor Thompson of Paris, Ill.; sisters, Regina Jones and Brenda Pitts, both of Terre Haute, Indiana, Barbara Gruhle of Columbus, Ind.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle. Visitation will be 4:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Eskew Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh and 9 a.m. Friday at the church until time of service. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery in Edinburgh, Ind.
Mary Elizabeth 'Puddin' Cecil
Mary Elizabeth "Puddin" Cecil, 89, of Louisville, died Friday, May 7, 2004.
She was a native of Shelbyville. She is survived by sisters, Clara Clark, Phoebe Jessee, Jean Lewis and Barbara Ashby, all of Shelbyville; brothers, Douglas Edington and Luther Edington, both of Shelbyville; step-sons, Steve and Mike Cecil.
The funeral was Monday at Evergreen Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Esther B. Grayson, 83, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, May 9, 2004.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Lana Grayson Reese of Shelbyville, and Leah Grayson Broughton of Graefenburg; caregiver, Judy Grayson of Shelbyville.

Charlie S. Moore, 100, of Finchville, died Monday, May 10, 2004.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary C. Sutherland and Gladys C. Burton, both of Louisville; three sons, Roy J. Moore, Paul E. Moore, both of Louisville, Charles W. Moore of Shelbyville; 30 grandchildren.

Evans of Frankfort; sisters Ernestine Stone, Anna Bray and Betty Campbell, all of Shelbyville, and Carrie Johnson of Mumfordsville.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Cook Lisby of Waddy; a daughter, Cheryl Cook of Gates, Tenn.; a brother, Kenneth Lisby of Waddy; a sister, Linda Taylor of Lexington; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
