Frankie Ruth Seybert

Frankie Ruth Seybert, 71, Village Circle , Glasgow , died Thursday, September 16, 2004 , at NHC Healthcare Center in Glasgow . A native of Winfield , Kansas , she was a daughter of the late Velda Mae Alison and Francis Willard Simmons. She had been an active member of the Christian Church, having served in Massachusetts , Virginia , Illinois and Indiana with her deceased husband, Charles Franklin Faull, an evangelist. She served with her present husband, Howard Seybert, as a volunteer chaplain at the Westville Correctional Center in Westville , Indiana . While in Glasgow , she had been attending the Coral Hill Baptist Church .
Survivors include her husband, Howard D. Seybert; four children, LaVelda Faull of Glasgow, Lindon Faull and his wife, Karmal, of Vincennes, IN, LynDonna Nothstine and her husband, Barry, of Glasgow, and Mary Abbott and her husband, Richard, of Cave City; one sister, Barbara Serhal of Michigan City, IN; eleven grandchildren, Ashli Faull, Seth Faull, Karesse Faull, Logan Nothstine, Jordan Nothstine, Zachary Nothstine, Caleb Nothstine, Sinclair Abbott, Victoria Abbott, Caroline Abbott and Peyton Abbott; one great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Faull; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Franklin Faull.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2004 , at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Westville cemetery in Westville , Indiana . Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Loren David Staples
November 12, 1939 - June 9, 2004
Loren David Staples, 64, Louisville , died Wednesday, June 9, 2004 , at his residence. A native of Glasgow , he was a son of the late Henry and Minnie Huff Staples. He was a former route man for Brown’s Ice Cream in Bowling Green and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sons, Scotty Staples, Shannon Staples and Brian Staples, all of Tompkinsville; four sisters, Mary Perkins, Bess Riddle and Madell Bagby all of Glasgow, and Peggy Polson of Scottsville; four brothers, Henry Staples, Milburn Staples and Follis Staples all of Glasgow, Leroy Staples of Leitchfield; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Friday at the funeral home.
Nelda Irene "Pepie" Thomas
May 30, 1939 - November 27, 2001
Irene “Pepie” Thomas, 62, North Race Street, Glasgow, died Tuesday at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late Cordell and Amy Gravens Riddle, she was a homemaker and a member of the Brotherhood Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas; three children, Douglas R. Thomas, Donna Harbison and her husband, Chris, and Roger Thomas all of Glasgow; five granddaughters, Peaches Pennycuff, Amber Westmoreland, Megan Thomas, Brittany Carney and Lindsey Thomas; two step-granddaughters, Lindsey Harbison and Jessica Harbison; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Pennycuff, Brooklyn Pennycuff and Logan Westmoreland; three brothers, Frankie Riddle and Buck Riddle of Glasgow, and Billy Reid Riddle of Huntsville, AL.; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Owens Thomas.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Cedar Grove cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pauline Twyman
July 14, 1918 - May 19, 2006
Pauline Twyman, 87, Cave City, died Friday, May 19, 2006, at the NHC Health Care Center. A daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Jones, she was a retired housekeeper and a member of the Pleasant Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Flavois Twyman; two sons, Ross Forrest and his wife, Ruth, of Oakland, and James Jr. Forrest of Tompkinsville; six grandchildren, Linda Britt, Ricky Forrest, Christy Forrest, Eric Forrest, Greg Forrest and Curtis Junior Wilson; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Rachel Wilson and Helen Embry; two sisters, Maggie Jones and Beatrice Richardson; two brothers, James Jones and Eugene Jones.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at the Pleasant Oak Ridge Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 5:00 p.m. Monday at the church.
Eunice Shipley

Eunice Irene Morrison Shipley, 90, Glasgow, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at NHC Healthcare. Born in Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Herschel and Darah Thomerson Morrison and was married
to the late Hubert Shipley. She was co-owner of Green Leaf Nursery, a retired employee of National Stores Corporation, and a member of the Dry Fork Church of Christ.
Survivors include three children, Richard Shipley (Joy) of Glasgow, Bobby Warren (Jack) of Glasgow, and Barbara Ruth (Jim) of Owensboro, KY; nine grandchildren, Mike Shipley (Donna Rhea) of Lamb, KY, Stacey Shipley-Wells (Andy), Mark Shipley (Amy), Matt Shipley (Kim) all of Glasgow, Shannon Read (Doug) of Roseville, KY, Kerry Wilkerson Zalla (Brett) of Allen County, KY, Scott Walthall (Yvonne) and Jamie Ruth Whitehead (Josh) of Owensboro, Wendi Jones (Chris) of Murray, KY; five step-grandchildren, Matt and Luke Chaney of Lexington, Jay Warren (Jan) of Bowling Green, Jackie Warren and Jenny Presley of Knoxville, TN; twenty-one great grandchildren, Ben and Brian Shipley, Caroline and Thomas Andrew Wells, Daniel Read, Nick Read and Brittany Read, Elliott Shipley, Edison Shipley and Emory Shipley, Mark Edward Shipley, Pate Shipley and Lilly Shipley, Grant Jones and Landon Jones, Conner Whitehead, Briana, Destiny and Kaylee Walthall and Courtney and Madeline Warren; one great-great grandchild, Kaylee Read; two sisters, Opal Chambers and Kathleen Cummins; five sisters-in-law, Jenny Morrison, Jerry Morrison, Helen Shipley, Essie Shipley and Ruth Shipley; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie Dee Morrison, James Morrison and George Morrison; daughter-in-law, Barbara Young Shipley; brothers-in-law, Brents, Haskel and Marvin Shipley and Bill Crabtree; sister-in-law, Lougene Crabtree and one grandchild, Kelly Denise Wilkerson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to your favorite charity.

Jeremy Douglas Vaughn, 23, Glasgow, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, in Glasgow. He was an employee of Wal-Mart in Glasgow and a member of the Rolling Hills United Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Janet Vaughn of Glasgow; his father, Gary Vaughn of Glasgow; one sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Joshua Shaw of Glasgow; one step-sister: Nikkie Hall and her husband Zack of Fort Knox; one step-brother: Jason Netherton and his wife Renee of Cave City; two nieces, Bridget Vaughn and Tessa Childress both of Glasgow; maternal grandparents, Rosetta and Albert Lewis of Cave City; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, James L. and Jewell Dean Vaughn of Glasgow; an aunt, Brenda Vaughn and an uncle, Michael Vaughn.

Eddie Cecil Scott
April 29, 1921 - February 6, 2008
Eddie Cecil Scott, 86, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at his residence.
The Cumberland County native was a retired farmer, carpenter and former owner of Scotty's Drive-In. He was the son of the late Eddie Burr Scott and Hila Dulworth Scott. Mr. Scott was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Earleen Simpson Scott; his brother-in-law, Gene Simpson; his sisters-in-law, Norma McKinney, Lou Ann Simpson, Ida Bell Simpson and Fina Simpson; a host of special nieces and nephews; and caretakers Sharon Garmon, Mary Glover, Sheila Whitlow, Jennifer Osborne, Brenda Bowles and Pam Newell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby John Scott, and three sisters, Ozell Arnold, Mildred Givens and Betty Scott.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Brother Bob Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Burkesville cemetery with military rites by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Buel "Pete" Templeman
June 18, 1942 - September 25, 2003
Buel “Pete” Templeman, 61 of Hardyville , Kentucky , died Thursday, September 25, 2003 at the T. J. Samson Hospital . He was the son of the late George and Myrtle Rich Templeman.
He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Taylor Templeman; four stepsons: Tommy Poynter of Glasgow, Doug Poynter of Glasgow, Kenny Poynter of Horse Cave and Allen Wilson of Glasgow; three brothers: Neil Templeman of Monroe, Otis Templeman of Monroe and Ralph Templeman of Memphis, TN; five sisters: Orene Hensley of Monroe, Faye Hensley of Monroe, Dellie Norris of Edmonton, Pam Hensley of Monroe and Hattie Gonterman of Munfordville; Ten step-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Conyers cemetery . Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Saturday.
Marshall Logan Smith
January 30, 1940 - November 21, 2006
Marshall Logan Smith, 66, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Woodrow Smith, Sr. and Katherine Dooley Smith.
He is survived by three children: Marsha DeTalente of Cave City, Cathy Page of Tompkinsville and Richard Smith of Glasgow; seven grandchildren: Christy Biggerstaff, Amanda Turner, Kandis Toney, Anthony Knowland, Joshua Powell, Jesse Powell and Whitney DeTalente; three brothers: Jimmy Smith, Woodrow Smith Jr. and Terrall Smith; four sisters: Jenny Kingrey, Loretta Wood, Janice Rhea and Shirley Henry; five great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alta Juanita Smith; three brothers: Clifton Smith, Michael Smith and Robert Smith; two sisters: Glora J. Smith and Mary L. Smith.
Funeral will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Bro. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 P. M. Friday at the funeral home.
Denton C. Turner
October 22, 1922 - April 13, 2008
Denton C. Turner, 85, Cave City, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008 at the Barren County Health Care Center. A native of Monroe County, he was a son of the late Bertie and Settie B. Burks Turner. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of WWII and a member of the Basil Chapel United Baptist Church, where he had also served as trustee for more than 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Parker Turner; two sons, Phillip (Carolyn) Turner of Glasgow and Jeff (Kim) Turner of Cave City; two daughters, Wanda (Phillip) Doyle and Bonnie (Mark) Edwards all of Cave City; 7 grandchildren, Whitney and Weston Turner of Cave City, Joey (Gina) Turner of Cave City, Jay (Cortney)Turner of Alabama, Kym (Mike) Fogle of Glasgow, Brad (Ashley) Edwards of Glasgow, Jamie Edwards of Cave City; 7 great-grandchildren, Kaylee Turner, Kalen Fogle, Mikiya Fogle, Yasmean Fogle, Bella Grace, Lilly and Jack Turner; one brother-in-law, Roger Wood (Barbara) Parker of Glasgow; one sister-in-law, Ada Branstetter of Glasgow; one niece, Donna Parker Jeffries of Cave City.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Eugene Turner and one brother-in-law, Johnny Branstetter.
