Annie Chambers Elmore

Annie Lewis Chambers Elmore, 93, Glasgow, died Tuesday, November 12, 2002, at the Barren County Health Care Center.
Born September 22, 1909, in Cooktown, KY, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Susan Cook Chambers. She was the widow of the late Col. Milza Elmore, Auctioneer, a homemaker and a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking large meals for family and friendly gatherings.
Survivors include five children, Eddie Berry of Murfreesboro, Wilma Guffey, John Ray Elmore, Charles Elmore and Patricia Pickett, all of Glasgow; eleven grandchildren; several great- grandchildren, to whom she is affectionately known as “Granny”.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Paul Harold "P. G." Gass

Paul Harold “P.G.” Gass, 71, of Louisville formerly of Glasgow, died Sunday, June 27, 2004 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . He was the son of the late William Frank Gass and Lissia Dugard Gass. He was a avid golfer and a member of the Cherry Valley Golf Club in New Albany, IN.
He is survived by one son: Paul Harold Gass, Jr. of Glasgow; two grandchildren: Paula Marie Grant and Amanda Alcott; one brother: Edward Jewell Gass of Glasgow; six sisters: Marjorie Shaw, Edna Earl Breitenfeld and her husband Dewayne, Lee Ann Kirn and her husband Joe, Barbara Jean Dugard, Carolyn Joyce Anderson and her husband Talbert all of Glasgow and Brenda Kay Gipson and her husband Paul of Shepardsville, KY.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter: Gretchen Alcott and two brothers: William Lee Gass and Jerry Wayne Gass.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem cemetery . Visitation will be after 12:00 Noon Monday at the funeral home.
Ronnie Earl Garrett
August 14, 1953 - October 17, 2002
Ronnie Earl Garrett, 49, of Glasgow, died Thursday, October 17 2002 at his residence. He was the son of Maxine Phillips Garrett and the late Demmon Earl Garrett. He was the Owner and Operator of Garretts Grocery and Garretts Casual Furniture. He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.
Besides his mother he is survived by two sons: Joshua Earl Garrett of Glasgow and Jarred Eugene Garrett of Bowling Green; one daughter: Molly Marie Garrett of Richmond; one brother: C. Phillip Garrett and his wife Jeanne of Green Valley; one granddaughter: Peyton Lane Garrett a special friend Debbie Livingston and her sons Shawn and his wife Shannon and Chad Livingston.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 P.M. Saturday.
Steve Frazier
September 1, 1945 - October 27, 2006
Steve Frazier, 61, Glasgow, died Friday, October 27, 2006, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. The son of the late Ray Norris and Mary Elizabeth Flint Frazier, he was a businessman, having owned and operated The Parts Center in Glasgow.
Survivors include his wife, Paula; one son, Travis Frazier of Glasgow; one daughter, Jenny Frazier of Lexington; son- in- law, Robert Banta of Sunshine, LA; one granddaughter, Mary Eliza Banta of Sunshine; one sister, Rae Marie Isenberg and husband, Ralph, of Brentwood, TN; one niece and two nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Ellington Banta.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Evelyn C. Hatcher
September 23, 1909 - October 24, 2001
Evelyn C. Hatcher age 92 of Mammoth Cave, Kentucky died Wednesday October 24, 2001at the Edmonson Health Care Center in Brownsville. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Ella Hatcher Barlow. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
She is survived by three Children: Larry Hatcher of Indiana, Patricia Hawkins of Louisville and Virgil Dodson of Mammoth Cave. Three sisters: Clemie Barlow of Elizabethtown, Marie Holman and Virginia Blanton both of Louisville. Eighteen Grandchildren Thirty Great Grand Children and Four Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Hatcher.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11:00 AM Friday.
Zelma L. Hunt
May 18, 1923 - October 23, 2003
Zelma L. Hunt, 80, Glasgow, died Thursday at the NHC Health Care Center. A native of Allen County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Rena Cox Levi. She was a retired nurse’s aide at T. J. Samson Community Hospital, a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and the Glasgow Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Melloan and her husband, Kenneth, of Horse Cave; two sons, Billy Walker of Adairville and Danny Walker of Glasgow; five grandchildren, David Cox and wife, Linda, Sherry Meador and husband, Lynn, Crystal Peterie and husband, Brett, Stacy Walker and wife, Marsha, and Kenneth Walker and wife, Tina; one brother, William “Buddy” Levi of Indianapolis; twelve great- grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Levy Ray Walker and Lattie B. Hunt; one daughter, Brenda Walker; and one sister, Betty Simpson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2003, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Crescent Hill cemetery at Scottsville. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Minnie M. Elmore, 84, of Glasgow, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late D.G. Humphrey, Sr. and Alice Wheeler Humphrey. She was a member of the Caney Fork Baptist Church. She was known for her beautiful flower garden on Kelly Drive.
She is survived by two sons: Billy Elmore and his wife Bonita and Brian D. Elmore; one daughter: Betty J. Denton; one brother: Robert Humphrey; one sister: Christine Rainey; eight grandchildren: Gayla Seale, Elizabeth “Beth” Sheesley, Michelle Inman, Ronnie Powell, Kimberly Shipley, Jeff Hunt, Lindsey Elmore and Whitney Elmore; eight great- grandchildren: Weston Inman, Carsen Ann Inman, Kelsey Brooks Powell, Connor Wilson Powell, Elliott Shipley, Emmory Shipley, Edison Shipley and Cody Hunt.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Garnett Wilson Elmore; one daughter: Brenda Hunt; three brothers; Cleo Humphrey, James Humphrey and Degie Humphrey, Jr.

Along with her parents, survivors include one sister, Jacey Doyle; maternal grandparents, Mary Reynolds, Mark Humphries and Warren Hall all of Glasgow; paternal grandparents, Sheila Taylor and Shirley Means of Knoxville; maternal great- grandmother, Mary Hall of Glasgow; paternal great- grandmother, Elsie Green of Horse Cave; four uncles, Neil Hall, Matthew Hall, Kelly Doyle and Jason Doyle; one aunt, Tammy Goode; several cousins.
Private graveside services will be held at the Glasgow Municipal cemetery under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

Dorothy Evelyn Doyle, 82 of Glasgow, died Saturday, June 12, 2004 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Edd Sturgeon and Janie Garrison Sturgeon and a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church .
She is survived by two daughters: Doris Paul of Russellville, Ky. and Colleen Hollander and her husband Dick of Bowling Green, Ky. ; four grandchildren: Holly Hollander, Dale McDaniel, Diane Beagle and Russell Paul; seven great- grandchildren; one sister: Audrey Crain of Cave City; three nieces and two nephews.

Allie Edith Hancock, 88, Glasgow, died Monday, March 01, 2004, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . A native of Clinton County, she was a daughter of the late Bertha Gertrude Perdue and Martin Byrd Owens, a homemaker and a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church .
Survivors include four children, Joyce Lee Hancock, Virginia Denton and her husband, James, and Janice Matthews and her husband, Darrell, all of Glasgow, Buddy James Hancock and his wife, Lois, of Bowling Green; one sister, Christene Huddleston of Elizabethtown; 7 grandchildren; 4 step- grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; 4 step- great- grandchildren; 1 great- great- grandchild; 1 step- great- great- grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry “Sam” Hancock and one granddaughter, Dona Denton Davis.

Dennie Ray Flowers

Dennie Ray Flowers, 46, Bristletown Road, Glasgow, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Duetta Pickett and Hubert Dennie Flowers. He was formerly a welder with Fleetwood Enterprises in Waycross, Georgia .
Survivors include one son, Dennie Ray Flowers, Jr., of Manchester, TN ; one daughter, Jennifer G. Runyon of Christiana, TN; three brothers, Dallas Flowers, James Flowers and his wife, B.J., and Terry Flowers and his wife, Connie, all of Glasgow; one sister, Geraldine Glass and her husband, Larry, of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Danny and Jerry Flowers; and three sisters, Delores Harper, Duetta Joyce Flowers and Ellen Mae Flowers.
