Gene T. Curtis, 69, of Augusta, died at 3:23 p.m. Monday at Columbia Hospital, Maysville. He was a retired maintenance man with Clopay Corp., Augusta. His wife, Elizabeth "Pat" Bogue Curtis, died in 1959.
Survivors include daughters, Rebecca Lee Edie of Augusta, Julia Kay Blevins of Falmouth and Penny Jane Ruf of Foster; brothers, Robert Curtis and Adrian Curtis, both of Augusta; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Augusta. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Cecelia Emma Wagner Gosney, 84, of Alexandria, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a retired cook from Alexandria Elementary School, Maple Lawn Restaurant, Alexandria, and Spare Time Restaurant, Alexandria. She was a member of the Kings and Queens of Alexandria. Her husband, Emery Gosney, died in 1944.
Survivors include sons, Donald Emery Gosney and Douglas Gosney, both of Alexandria, and Marion Gosney of Cold Spring; brothers, Hubert Wagner of Southgate and Joseph Wagner of Alexandria; a sister, Kathryn Shockley of Indianapolis, Ind.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Visitation will be there from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery.

Roy Hayes, 63, of Morning View,died at 4:55 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired truck driver with Signal Delivery Service and a member of Teamsters Local No. 100, Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie Shoemake Hayes; daughters, Jennie Lynn Barnett of Independence, Julie Ann Pope and Janet Leigh Hayes, both of Erlanger; a stepdaughter, Donna Gant of Mowrystown, Ohio; stepsons, Daniel Alexander of the state of California and David Alexander of Delaware; a brother, Robert Hayes of Port Orange, Fla.; sisters, Josephine Vastine of Whites Tower, Margie Beard of Dry Ridge and June Shoemake of Morning View; five grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ray Holt, 28, of Independence, died Sunday at University Hospital, Cincinnati. He was an employee of Coaxial Communications, Cincinnati.

Mildred A. Mason, 98, of Cincinnati, formerly of Latonia, died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday at River View Nursing Home in Cincinnati. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ, Latonia. She was a member of the church Postmarks, Women's Guild and Senior Society groups. Her husband, George Mason Sr., died in 1963. A daughter, Nora Foust, died in 1991.
Survivors include a son, George Bud Mason Jr. of Rio Rancho, N.M.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Marcella West Minshew, 79, of Lexington, died Tuesday at Columbia Hospital, Lexington. She was a retired bookkeeper with Southwestern Tobacco Co. and a member of Chevy Chase Baptist Church, Lexington.

Charles Milton Moore Jr., 74, of Florence, died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired electronic technician with the U.S. Postal Service, and a member of American Postal Workers Union of Greater Cincinnati. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Louise L. Moore, died in 1986. A son, Robert Moore, died Sept. 6.

John A. Geiman, volunteer
John A. Geiman found joy in his children and any other child lucky enough to cross paths with the lifelong Cold Spring resident.
"He loved kids: not only his own, all kids," said his wife, Betty Lemker Geiman. "He was always there when you needed him."
Mr. Geiman, a World War II veteran, never stopped volunteering his time and energy to family, neighbors and the community at large. He was a member of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph Court No. 2094 Catholic Order of Foresters.
He helped raise money for scholarships to Catholic high schools and participated in Tootsie Roll fund-raisers in the Knights of Columbus.
"He always was busy. He just kept himself involved," Mrs. Geiman said.
Mr. Geiman, 75, of Cold Spring, died Wednesday at his home. He was a retired records clerk with Veterans Administration Hospital, Cincinnati, and a member of Father DeJaco Council.
His generosity was evident in his own back yard, where he raised flowers and too many vegetables.
"He would give half of them away because we couldn't possibly eat them all," Mrs. Geiman said.
Mr. Geiman had a passion for University of Kentucky basketball and the Cincinnati Reds, watching a baseball game the evening before he passed away.
"We did things as a family. He was a good husband."
Survivors also include his sons, Doug Geiman of Alexandria and Daryll Geiman of Cold Spring; sisters, Joanna Secrist of Ft. Wright and Frances Kappas of Highland Heights; brothers, Joseph Geiman, Bill Geiman and Aloysius Geiman, all of Cold Spring, and Lionel Geiman of Highland Heights; and three grandchildren.

Charlotte Smith Lamere, 66, of Vicksburg, Miss., formerly of Cynthiana, died Tuesday at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Mississippi. She was a member of the American Kennel Club, Vicksburg Little Theater and Rug Hooker Association. She also was a Communicant of the Church of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Vicksburg, where she was active in the church ministries.
