Ruth Williams Ballard, 65, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008, after a short stay at the Glasgow Health and Rehabilitation Center in Glasgow, Kentucky. A native of Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Helen Williams.
Survivors include her daughter, Annette Ballard, special friend Rene’ Manning, and Foster Grand-children, Dalton and Jaida all of South Carolina. One sister, Robbie Nell Ballard and husband Russell Ballard of Burkesville, Kentucky. Nieces Sharon Wolfe, Jill Key and Lisa Birdwell, all of Burkesville, Kentucky. Several great nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Keith Ballard, one brother, Bobbie Williams, and one niece Carolyn Ballard.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2008, at the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. After service gathering will be at 2143 N. Jackson Highway, Glasgow.
