GEORGE F. PICKFORD, JR. WAS BORN MAY 19, 1968 TO GEORGE F. PICKFORD, SR. AND THE LATE KATIE FAYE HALL COMPTON. HE DEPARTED THIS LIFE MONDAY, JANUARY 11, 2010 AT HIS HOME IN GREENSBURG, HAVING ATTAINED THE AGE OF FORTY-ONE YEARS, SEVEN MONTHS AND TWENTY-ONE DAYS.
HE HAD MADE A PROFESSION OF FAITH IN CHRIST AND WAS OF THE BAPTIST FAITH. HE WAS A FORMER EMPLOYEE OF T.A. TRUCKSTOP AND JACKIE'S LAWNCARE. BESIDES HIS MOTHER, HE IS preceded in death BY ONE SON KAIN PICKFORD.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS SON: JULLIAN PICKFORD OF CAMPBELLSVILLE, HIS FATHER GEORGE F. PICKFORD, SR. OF LOUISVILLE, KY., HIS STEP-PARENTS: CARL (HOSS) COMPTON AND KIM HANCOCK OF CAMPBELLSVILLE, TWO SISTERS : B.J. Bessie Anderson
Bessie Davis Anderson was born on April 4, 1916 in Green County to the late Flora Greene Penick and Robert Wilson Anderson. She was the third oldest of eight children. Early Monday morning at the Taylor Regional Hospital, God saw fit to call Bessie home. She professed hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Greensburg, Kentucky. At her death, she was the oldest member of the church.
She served as a member of the culinary committee, was a member of the Usher Board, a member of the Missionary Society, sang with the Mothers' Board Choir, and a former member of the NAACP.
Bessie Davis Anderson united in marriage to Harvey Anderson on December 13, 1936. They were married
for seventy years and eleven months. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2007. Bessie was an extremely hard worker. She labored in the fields and milk barn, alongside her husband. Her hobbies were gardening, nurturing many different kinds of plants and piecing quilts.
She was fondly known as "Aunt Bessie" to many but as "Bunt" to her sisters and brothers. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mattie Louise Groves and four brothers, Jim Alonzo, Carl Ellis, Lucian Farris and Willie Fred.
She leaves to mourn her passing two sisters: Ruth (Fields) Anderson, Christine Mitchell, all of Greensburg, KY, one sister-in-law, Ida Cleo Curry, and one brother-in-law, Fred David (Christell) Anderson, all of Louisville, KY. Also, she leaves a host of nieces and nephews, including two devoted nieces, Peggy and Diane Anderson of Campbellsville and a devoted nephew, Rudolphus (Doc) Anderson of Louisville, KY and many cousins, friends and acquaintances.

Evelyn Milby Shaffer
Evelyn Milby Shaffer, age 82 of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, formally of Summersville, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2009 in Pennsylvania. She is survived locally by three nieces: Willa Dean Jewell and Elaine Bishop of Greensburg and Mitzi Heath of Campbellsville and three nephews: Winford Simpson and Charlie Simpson of Greensburg and Bill Moran of Campbellsville.

James Vontress Noe
Mr. James Vontress Noe was born February 13, 1928 in Green County, Kentucky to the late James Arthur and Fannie Milby Noe. He departed this life Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his home in Louisville, Kentucky, having attained the age of eighty-three years, eleven months and twelve days.
Mr. Noe had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist Faith. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after 35 years. He retired from Sears August 2011 after 18 years. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Margie Marie Gowen Noe and two brothers: Thomas and Randall Noe.
He is survived by one daughter: Shirley Noe, one sister: Lou Anna Allen both of Louisville, Kentucky, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Ronald Lee Renfrow, Sr.
Ronald Lee Renfrow, Sr, age 65 of Louisville passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at his residence.
He was retired from Boiler Maker Union Local 40 and a member of Sunset Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Johnson Renfrow; his sons, Ronald L. Renfrow Jr. (Candice), Robert Renfrow (Melissa): and his grandchildren, Kasey, Jessie, Ally and Zachary. He is also survived by two brothers: Rudy Renfrow (Rhonda) of Green County and Frank Renfrow (Brenda) of Grayson.
Funeral services for Ronald Lee Renfrow, Sr. will be conducted 10 A.M. Wednesday at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home, Dixie Hwy., Louisville. Burial will follow in the Evergreen cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be 3 - 8 P.M. Tuesday evening at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home.

David Ford
Alfred David Ford was born June 11, 1945 in Taylor County, KY to the late Sam and Nellie Gaddie Ford. He departed this life Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY, having attained the age of sixty-six years and seven months.
David had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Union Baptist Church. He was a farmer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Tom, Frank, Richard Lewis and Robert Marshall "Mont" Ford.
He is survived by one brother: Leo Ford of Indianapolis, Indiana, two sisters: Dorothy Ford of Campbellsville, KY and Helen Williams of Elizabethtown, KY and one sister-in-law: Odessa Ford of Campbellsville, KY, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Glen Alan Gupton
Glen Alan Gupton age 62 of Greensburg, Ky, son of Tara Ruth Hancock Gupton of Greensburg and the late Garnet Frank Gupton, was born on July 30,1949 in Green County. He died at 9:26 AM on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012 at his home after a long illness.
He married
Connie Gayle Scott Gupton on September 18, 1982. She survives. Survivors also include two stepdaughters, Rhona Bowles Kamar and her husband, Rasmi, of Louisville, Ky. and Neila Bowles Schuhmann of Campbellsville, Ky.; five grandchildren, David Nicholas Schuhmann of Lexington, Ky., William Aiden Schuhmann of Campbellsville and Graciella Kamar, Nizar Kamar and Safi Kamar, all of Louisvile, Ky.; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Kay Gupton of Greensburg; two nephews and a niece, Cody Alan Gupton of Bowling Green, Ky., Joseph Gordon "Josh" Rogers III of Brentwood, Tenn., and Kayla Williams Rogers Daniels and her husband, Mike Daniels of Greensburg; and a great niece, Margaret Kay "Maggie" Daniels of Greensburg.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stuart and Effie Gupton and Grover Cleveland and Amanda Hancock.
He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, a former volunteer for Greensburg Fire Department and was an independent truck driver, having driven for Usher Trucking of Louisville for the past ten years.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. CT on Monday, Jan. 9 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral will take place at 11 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greensburg. Burial will follow at Smith cemetery in Sulphur Well, Ky. Dr. Gary Ervin and the Rev. Tommy Tucker will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideons International and Hosparus of Central Kentucky.

Louise Durrett Hodges
Louise Durrett Hodges was born October 3, 1939 in Green County, KY to the late Otha Thomas Durrett and Lura Milby Durrett. She departed this life Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Norton Hospital in Louisville having attained the age of seventy-two years, three months and two days.
Mrs. Hodges had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a life-long member of Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church but actively attended Sand Lick Separate Baptist Church. She was a singer and piano player with the Durrett family singers. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers: Hyman, Jeff, Buford, Ancil "Bug" and Vurnis "Dink" Durrett. She was a retired CNA having worked with Lifeline for twenty years.
She is survived by her husband T. J. Hodges of Summersville, one son: Doug Hodges and his wife Kathy and two daughters: Karen Paxton and her husband Terry and Jennifer Scott and her husband Coy all of Summersville. She is also survived by one brother: Calvin "Toad" Durrett and his wife Delia of Summersville, one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Adele and Joe Martin of Louisville, two sisters-in-law: Linda Hodges of Summersville and Betty Lou Lile of Greensburg, six grandchildren: Nick and Diann Paxton, Anne and Jason Beard, D. J. Hodges, Drue Hodges, Cynthia Scott and Cody Scott, four great grandchildren: Braeden Paxton, Brylee Paxton, Jasey Beard and Kaylee Shofner, three step great grandchildren: Kyle, Cody and Kane Wilson, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Trumon Richard Young was born July 6, 1924 in the Little Barren Community of Green County, KY to the late Harry Young, Sr. and Mathie Kidd Young. He departed this life Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY, having attained the age of eighty-seven years, five months and twenty-five days.
Mr. Young had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Separate Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for more than 20 years. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Mary Young, five brothers and one sister: Carmon, Norman Dean, Cecil, Thomas and Harry Young Jr. and Margie Young.
He is survived by two sons: Douglas C. Young (Geraldine Patterson Young) and Richard Anthony Young (Vicki Johnson) of Greensburg, KY, four daughters: Martha Trentham (Dennis) and Gearline Nunn of Greensburg, Earline Judd (Gerry) of Mt. Mr. Oakes had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pink Ridge Baptist Church in Metcalfe County, KY.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Daugherty Oakes, two sons: Ricky Oakes of Greensburg, KY and James D.
