Ann Lizzie Pickett Austin, 81
Ann Lizzie Pickett Austin, 81, of Green County, Ky., died on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Daughter of the late Jim Willie and Eunice Orr Pickett, she was born in Green County on Aug. 9, 1923. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Okolona and was the former owner and operator of Cedar Heights Beauty Salon.
She married
Herman W. Austin on Jan. 25, 1944. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Paul Colvin of Louisville, Ky.; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Deanna Austin of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Ruth Moore of Greensburg, Ky.; six brothers, Lester Pickett of Greensburg, Colby Pickett of Columbia, Ky., Boyce Pickett of Decatur, Ill., Foster Pickett of Russell Springs, Ky., Joe Pickett of Nashville, Tenn., and Frank Pickett of LaGrange, Ky.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ellis Pickett and Harvey Pickett.
Funeral was Thursday, Oct. 14 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Louisville. The Rev. David Hughes officiated. A private burial service was held at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Philip Burnett, 81
Philip Burnett, 81, of Columbia, Ky., died at 2:20 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, after a long illness.
Son of the late Ora and Zelma Pendleton Burnett of Hardin County, Ky., he was a member of Kingdome Hall of Jehovah's Witness of Campbellsville, a carpenter and used car dealer in Columbia and Elizabethtown, Ky.
He was married
to Wanda Woodring Burnett, who survives.
Survivors include one son, Russell Burnett of Antioch, Tenn.; one daughter, Phyllis Wintuska of Columbia; two brothers, Louie Burnett of Scottsville, Ky., and Don Burnett of Atlanta, Ga.; one half brother, John Williams of Florida; and four sisters, Geneva Wallace of Atlanta, Jerellean Logsdon of Elizabethtown, Irene Biggs of Munfordsville, Ky. and Thelma Jean Basham of Brandenburg, Ky.; three grandchildren, Autumn Gray, Aaron Burnett and Pansey Wintuska; and two great-grandchildren, Shelby Gray and Grace Burnett.
The body was cremated. A memorial service was held Oct. 16 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Campbellsville.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia was in charge of the arrangements.
Phyllis R. Fudge, 60
Phyllis R. Fudge, 60, of Breeding, Ky., died at 3:25 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, Ky., after an illness.
Daughter of the late Carlie and Mary A. Davis Polston, she was a member of Cane Valley Christian Church and had worked at factories in Columbia and Edmonton, Ky.
She was married
to Charles Fudge, who survives.
Survivors also include one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Melissa Fudge of Breeding; three brothers, Kenneth Polston, Wallace Polston and Willard Polston, all of Wisconsin; three sisters, Carol Cowan and Della Montgomery, both of Columbia, and Arlene Miller of Wisconsin; and two grandsons, Benton Fudge and Carley Fudge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death one sister, Anna M. Yarberry; and four brothers, Keith Polston, Buddy Polston, Kerby Polston and Joe Preston Polston.
Funeral was Monday, Oct. 18 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia. Bros. Paul Patton and Ivan Tucker officiated. Burial was in Chestnut Grove cemetery in Breeding.
Pallbearers were Wilburn Fudge, Telsie Fudge, Brian Fudge, Albert Lewis Woodrum, Clifton Lloyd and Lonny Karnes.

Edith Harmon, 60
Edith Harmon, 60, of Spurlington Church Road in Campbellsville, died at 11:05 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late Clifford Harmon and Mabel Huston Harmon, she was born in Marion County, Ky., on Oct. 20, 1944. She was a member of Brethren in Christ Church and an employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville for 28 years.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles David and Debby Wright of Columbus, Ind., and Christopher Allan and Marty Anderson of Spurlington, Ky.; five grandchildren, Rebecca Wright, Matthew Wright, Morgan Renay Anderson, Marcus Allen Anderson and Mason Tyler Anderson; three brothers, Ernest Harmon of Campbellsville, Wyman "Buster" Harmon of Kansas City, Kan., and Terry Harmon of Lexington, Ky.; and two sisters, Mildred Barnett of Campbellsville and Velma Lowman of Berkley, Mich.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Garnett Ray Harmon, James Edward Harmon and Wallace "Bo" Harmon; and three sisters, Diane Harmon, Norma Jean Harmon and Margaret Bishop.
Funeral was Saturday, Oct. 23 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Dr. J. Chester Badgett officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Jim Coffey, Kevin Foster, Kevin Harmon, Mark Lowman, Lonnie Ryan and Jac Sanders.

Patricia Allen Knopp, 57
Patricia Allen Knopp, 57, of Greenhill Drive in Campbellsville, died at 5:20 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, in Lebanon, Ky.
Daughter of Eva Skaggs Allen of Raywick, Ky., and the late John Coolidge "Cooch" Allen, she was born in Marion County, Ky., on Oct. 19, 1946. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, was employed by Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville for 27 years, was also a retail sales associate for Cellular One in Columbia and former manager of Twice Is Nice Consignments in Campbellsville.
Survivors also include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joseph J. Knopp and his companion, Miranda Bell, of Campbellsville and John B. and Jamie Knopp of Phillipsburg, Ky.; two grandchildren, Jamison McKinley Knopp and Kaitlyn Nicole Holmes, both of Campbellsville; two step-grandchildren, Tye Murphy and Abi Murphy, both of Phillipsburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and James Huber of Mt. Washington, Ky.; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Don Paul Allen of Inez, Ky., and Nicky and Loretta Allen of Raywick.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Garry Wayne Allen on June 28, 1997.
Funeral was Saturday, Oct. 9 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Lawman Chibundi officiated. Burial was in Mt. Washington Baptist Church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Johnny Allen, Eddie Skaggs, Jackie Skaggs, Danny Thompson, David Thompson, Dean Thompson, Mike Thompson and Lynn Wright.
Travis 'Geno' Lewis, 44
Travis "Geno" Lewis, 44, of Morgan Trail in Campbellsville, died at 3:55 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, in Louisville, Ky.
Son of Travis Lewis and the late Lora Ellen Lewis, he was born in Ottawa, Ill., on July 2, 1960. He was a self-employed carpenter.
He was married
to Betty Lewis, who survives.
Survivors also include his step-mother, Mattie Lewis of Campbellsville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Billy Blevins and Linda and Bobby Akin, all of Campbellsville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Marilyn Lewis, Donald and Cindy Lewis and Roger and Penny Lewis, all of Campbellsville; and one step-sister and her husband, June and Kenny Parker of Campbellsville.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Dean Lewis on Oct. 20, 1908.
Funeral was Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Soule's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Litsy Druin Money, 86
Litsy Druin Money, 86, of Erlanger, Ky., formerly of Campbellsville, died at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington, Ky.
Daughter of the late Will Druin and Sally Thomas Skagg, she was born in Taylor County on Aug. 5, 1918. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Campbellsville where she was a former choir member. She was also the former owner of Quality Shop in Campbellsville and a former volunteer at Taylor County Hospital.
She was married
to Walter Bruner Money, who preceded her in death on July 30, 1988.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Money of Frederick, Md., John Money of Crittenden, Ky. and Fred Money of Dry Ridge, Ky.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Annie Money Dicken.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Henry Druin; and one sister, Daisy Edrington.
Funeral was Thursday, Oct. 21 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden. The Revs. Bobby Barnes and Keith Blair officiated. Graveside service was Friday, Oct. 22 at Brookside cemetery.

Twymon 'Dean' Ray, 65
Twymon "Dean" Ray, 65, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at his home.
Son of the late Albert Ray and Pearl Whitehead Ray, he was born in Green County, Ky., on Jan. 4, 1939. He was a retired wood craftsman and had worked for McMahan Furniture.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Terri L. and Brent Jeffries of Glasgow, Ky., and Connie and Rodney Robertson of Greensburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Paula Ray of Willisburg, Ky.; three brothers, James Ray, Dea Ray and Bill Ray, all of Greensburg; four half-brothers, Mickey Ray, Ronnie Earl Ray, Larry David Ray and Albert "June Bug" Ray, all of Greensburg; one half-sister, Helen Wright of Greensburg; nine grandchildren, William Clay Jones, Johnathan Wayne Jones, Daniel Jason Jones, Sara Sluder and Blake Robertson, all of Greensburg, Amy Beth Cook of Campbellsville, Brandon Robertson, who is stationed in Iraq with the U.S. Marines, and Kenny Ray and Levi Ray, both of Willisburg; two great-grandchildren, Alec Sluder and Braeden Sluder, both of Greensburg; and a special friend, Kathy Jeffries, and her daughter, Ashley Jeffries, both of Greensburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Cook on April 20, 2004; one sister, Mary Walker; two half-sisters, Nora Ethel Coats and Alene Underwood; and one half-brother, William Lee Ray.
Funeral was Friday, Oct. 22 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Sister Anna Overstreet officiated. Burial was in Hudson cemetery.
Pallbearers were Buddy Ray, Troy Sluder, Rodney Robertson, Johnathan Jones, Blake Robertson and Jason Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were James Ray, Mickey Ray, Albert "June Bug" Ray, Dea Ray, Ronnie Earl Ray, Bill Ray and Larry David Ray.
Silas Tucker, 94
Silas Tucker, 94, of Campbellsville, died at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Federal Hill Nursing Home in Bardstown, Ky.
Son of the late William Stanch and Josie Tucker, he was born in Campbellsville on Dec. 20, 1909. He was a member of Fannie Chapel C.M.E. Church.
He was married
to Carrie E. Tucker, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Dean and the Rev. Henry Dailey; one son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Margaret Tucker; three grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Tanya Dailey, Misha and Philip Benson and Christopher Tucker; and four great-grandchildren, Dawn Dailey, Danielle Dailey, Elias Benson and Elise Benson.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Viola Tucker Johnson; and two brothers, Cannon Tucker and Herbert Tucker.
Funeral was Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Fannie Chapel C.M.E. Church in Campbellsville. The Rev. Delmetria Cayson officiated. Burial was in Crown Hill cemetery in Campbellsville.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Fisher, Leon Rice, Willie Haskins, Samuel Wickliffe, Alan Robinson and Elwood Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were the men of Fannie Chapel C.M.E. Church.

John C. Vance, 58
John C. Vance, 58, of Benton, Ky., died on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Son of the late John Cager Vance and Emma Vance, he was a member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church, a retired captain with Kentucky State Police Post #1 in Mayfield, Ky., and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was married
to Charlotte Sue Dearfield Vance, who survives.
Survivors also include three sons, Byron Vance of McKinney, Texas, Adam Vance of Benton and Rick Wilcox of Richmond, Ky.; one daughter, Tammy Jacobs of Somerset, Ky.; one brother, Mark Newcomb of Campbellsville; two sisters, Angela Allison of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Elizabeth Cox of Louisville, Ky.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Collier Funeral Home in Benton. The Rev. Deward Hurst and Kentucky State Police Chaplain James Hodge officiated. Graveside service was at Somerset cemetery in Somerset on Thursday, Oct. 21.
