Michael Glenn Burchett, 34, of Hamilton Street in Campbellsville died on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at his home.
Son of Glen and Ora Rae Burchett of Campbellsville, he was a member of Brethren In Christ Church.
Survivors also include six sisters, Helen England and Cary Elaine Cox, both of Campbellsville, Janice Gayle Smith and Michelle Lynn Powell, both of Indiana, Bonita Hull of Tennessee and Shannon Leigh Raikes of Bradfordsville, Ky.
Funeral was Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville. Bros. Roy Phillips and Mark Adams officiated. Burial was in Old Liberty cemetery in Lebanon, Ky.
Pallbearers were Keith England, Byron Humphrey, Kevin Mann, Greg Cox, Danny Milby, Jimmy Raikes and Larry Hull.
Herbert F. Bryant, 95
Herbert F. Bryant, 95, of Dowell Street in Campbellsville died at 6:55 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Carlie Bryant and Nona Belle Neat Bryant, he was born in Adair County, Ky., on Aug. 14, 1909. He was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church.
He married
Alta M. Tory on March 24, 1930. She preceded him on death Nov. 23, 1994.
Survivors include one brother, Leighton Bryant of Michigan City, Ind.; one sister, Levonna Barrows of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by nine brothers, Coy Bryant, Robert Bryant, Buford Bryant, Lilburn Bryant, Leonard Bryant, Stanley Bryant, Claude Bryant, Kenneth Bryant and Russell Bryant; and seven sisters, Evelyn Henson, Mary Grant, Cora Chelf, Beatrice Gallons, Freeda Watson, Lillian Thomas and Florence Grant.
Funeral was Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Gary Durham officiated. Burial was in Green River Memorial Baptist Church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ivan Barnes, Leonard Bryant, Noel Bryant, Robert Allen Bryant, Doug Chelf and Roy Seaborne Jr.
Bluford Brooks, 74
Bluford Brooks, 74, of Gardner Street in Campbellsville, Ky., died at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Elbert Brooks and Linda Jaggers Brooks, he was born in Edmonson County, Ky., on Feb. 17, 1930. He was a U.S Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was married
to Corrine Brooks, who survives.
Survivors also include six daughters, Vicky Roberts, Delma Hayse, Theresa Campbell and Marsha Boyd, all of Louisville, Ky., and Sandra Stubbs and Rhonda Messer, both of Campbellsville; three sons, James Brooks and Danny Lawson, both of Louisville, and Calvin Lawson of Campbellsville; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters; Mary Williams of Georgetown, Ind., Millie Falconbury of Attica, Ind., and Lillie Elmore of Brownsville, Ky.; and four brothers, Truman Brooks of Brownsville, Norman Brooks and Almon Brooks, both of Louisville, and Kenneth Brooks of Shepherdsville, Ky.
Funeral was Friday, Oct. 8 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Bill Williams officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers were Curtis Cox, Gene Falconbury, Billy Followell, Harvey Garrett, Lee Stubbs and Earl Tungate.
Ronnie L. Bowman
Ronnie L. Bowman of Palm Bay, Fla. died on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, in Florida.
Son of Herman Bowman of Greensburg, Ky., and the late Frances Coakley Bowman, he was born in Green County. He was a 1967 graduate of Greensburg High School, a 1971 graduate of Campbellsville College, retired from the U.S. military and a Kentucky Colonel.
He was married
to Bernice Bowman, who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Rudy Olivas of Palm Bay; one step-daughter, Audriana Rojas of Costa Rica; two grandchildren, Savannah Olivas and Austin Olivas, both of Palm Bay; one sister, Brenda Hall of Greensburg; his step-mother, Nina Bowman of Greensburg; one step-sister, Sue Bishop of Greensburg; and two step-brothers, Larry Price of Greensburg and Simmons Price of Illinois.
The body was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Greensburg Renaissance, Green County Public Library or Kentucky Humane Society.
Marjorie J. Bell, 74
Marjorie J. Bell, 74, of Townhouse Drive in Campbellsville, formerly of Louisville, Ky., died at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late Cliff R. Bell and Sarah Lewis Bell, she was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 21, 1930. She was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church and was a registered nurse.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Ronnie Hord of Campbellsville, Cheryl Gupton of Richmond, Ind., and Jerry Gupton of Dayton, Ohio; one son and daughter-in-law, Drake and Denise Phebus of Portland, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, Jason Gupton of Dayton, Jared Hines, Stephen Hines, Rhonda Smith, Scott Hord and Shaun Hord, all of Campbellsville, Sarah Gupton Buenos Aires, Argentina, Lindsey Young of Richmond, Ind., Drake Phebus and Kyle Phebus, both of Portland; and one great-granddaughter, Lauren Young of Richmond.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Mark Phebus on June 26, 1984; and one brother, David Bell.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. L.A. "Fella" Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.

Eldred 'Shorty' Beams, 79
Eldred "Shorty" Beams, 79, of Green County, Ky., died on Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at V.A. Medical Center in Louisville, Ky.
Son of the late Victor Beams and Ova McCubbins Beams, he was born in Green County on June 17, 1925. He was retired from Kentucky Manufacturing, where he worked 27 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a lifetime member of Millcreek VFW Post #5421, a member of Military Order of the Cootie Pup Tent #1, Moose Lodge and Cane Run Road Improvement Club.
He was married
to Rosie Beams, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Rita and Rickey Box and Linda Mills; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill E. and Carolyn Beams; five brothers, Donald Beams and Wayne Beams, both of Louisville, Jimmy Beams and Carl Beams, both of Greensburg, and Cletas Beams of Hodgenville, Ky.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at W.G. Hardy Funeral Home on Dixie Highway in Louisville. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens cemetery in Louisville.
Oscar Miller Tungate, 85
Oscar Miller Tungate, 85, of Lebanon, Ky., died at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at Cedars of Lebanon Center.
Son of the late Travis and Luetha Tungate, he was born in Bradfordsville, Ky. on Nov. 14, 1918. He was a farmer.
He was married
to Mary Louise Tungate, who preceded him in death. He later married
Flossie Eliza Tungate, who survives.
Survivors also include six sons, Hugh Tungate, Jerry Lee Tungate, Donald Tungate and Gary Tungate, all of Bradfordsville, Joseph "Bud" Tungate of Lebanon, and Rue "Rudy" Tungate of Illinois; three daughters, Judy Leckrone of Springfield, Ky., Edna Louise Brewster of Missouri and Sue Shelton of Indiana; one sister, Maxine Wright of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, Milburn Tungate of Greensburg, Ky.; 27 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Billy James Tungate; one step-daughter, Ruth Rockhold; four brothers, Enos Tungate, Bob Tungate, George Tungate and Harry Truman Tungate; and five sisters, Ethel Ramesy, Carrie Davis, Flossie Marple, Christina Tungate and Serena Clarkson.

James Lynwood Mitchell, 76
James Lynwood Mitchell, 76, of Walnut Street in Campbellsville, died at 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, in Louisville, Ky.
Son of the late Willis Mitchell and Nannie Humphress Mitchell, he was born in Green County, Ky., on Oct. 15, 1927. He was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company in Campbellsville.
He married
Florence Taylor on Feb. 3, 1951. She survives.
Survivors also include one brother and sister-in-law, John and Ann Mitchell of Louisville; and one sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Kenneth Tanner of Versailles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Mitchell.
Funeral was Monday, Oct. 18 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Gene Hall and Vitis Bailey officiated. Burial was in Brookside cemetery.

Ottie Wallace Copley Jr., 69
Ottie Wallace Copley Jr. , 69, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Taylor County, died on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at the home of his son in Brooks, Ky., after an illness.
Son of the late Ottie Wallace and Carrie Berry Copley, he was a retired machinist from C. Lee Cook.
He was married
to Carolyn Yvonne Copley, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Wallace III and Deborah Copley and William Gregory and Cindy Copley, all of Brooks, and Ronald Duane and Wanda Copley of Lebanon, Ky.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Dorothy Maupin of Campbellsville.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jewell Holtzclaw.
Funeral was Saturday, Oct. 16 at Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville. Burial was in Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery.

Tommy Browning, 83, of Bambridge Lane in Campbellsville, died at 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late James Chapman Browning and Mary Dahoney Browning, he was born in Adair County, Ky., on July 26, 1921. He was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a retired farmer and breeder and racer of thoroughbreds.
He married
Pauline Bohannon on Aug. 19, 1943. She survives.
Survivors also include four daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Nolan Robinson and Ellyn and Robby Davis, all of Campbellsville, and Janice and Richard Storey and Patty and Michael Martin, all of Lebanon, Ky.; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Gabehart of Campbellsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, George Thomas Browning II; five brothers, Billy Browning, Frank Browning, Richard Browning, Allen Browning and J.C. Browning Jr.; and two sisters, Bernice Morgeson and Elnora Glasscock.
Funeral was Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Don Gowin officiated. Burial was in Haven Hill cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Dollie Bledsoe, 86, of Bakerton, Ky., died at 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, Ky.
Daughter of the late Non and Pearl Blankenship Bell, she was a member of Amandaville Christian Church and a homemaker.
She was married
to George Bledsoe, who preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 1983.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Norma Jean and Udell Shirley of Columbia, Ky.; one brother, Lewis Bell of Creelsboro, Ky.; one sister, of Edna Miller of Creelsboro; five grandchildren, Lisa Neat, Ricky Bledsoe, James Samuel Bledsoe, Michelle Larimore and Shawn Shirley; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Dean Bledsoe on Sept. 16, 1988; and one brother, Robert Bell.

Daughter of the late Joseph Wagner and Sydney Powar Wagner, she was a retired bank teller.
She was married
to Hubert Avritt, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Ann W. Evans of Lebanon; and one nephew and his wife, William Wallace and Patty Evans of Campbellsville.
Funeral was Saturday, Oct. 16 at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Chapel. Bros. Larry G. Barker and Forrest Morris officiated. Burial was in Ryder cemetery.
