Frances Taylor Fletcher, 93
Frances Taylor Fletcher, 93, of Princeton, died on November 18 at the Princeton Health and Rehab Center.
Frances was born in Frankfort, Ky., on October 23, 1917. Her father was John Saffarans Taylor and her mother was Marcella Frances Orr Taylor, both of Lexington.
She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1946 earning a degree in Education. She did graduate work in two fields of special education completing her certification in 1971. She taught special education in several schools in Hopkins County.
After her marriage to the Rev. Custis Fletcher Jr., she accompanied him to Brazil where he was an Episcopal missionary from 1939 until 1954. They then were at churches in Florida, Texas, Madisonville and Murray. Frances lived in Princeton for the past twenty years.
Rev. Fletcher predeceased Frances, as did her oldest son, John Fletcher of Huntsville, Ala., and a grandson, Andrew Fletcher Kyle of Eddyville.
Frances is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Taylor Banes of Louisville; two sons, Lee Taylor Fletcher of Louisville, Ky., and Thomas Edwin Fletcher of Snyder, Texas; one daughter, Margaret Frances Fletcher-Kyle of Eddyville, Ky.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
One grandchild, Sarah Kyle Beckett, lives in Princeton with her husband Chad and two children, Rachel and Emily.
A memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s of the Lakes Episcopal Church on December 4, at 2:30 p.m. Visitation with the family will be at the church beginning at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the St. Peter’s of the Lakes (P.O. Box 183, 47 Black River Rd., Gilbertsville 42044).
Edward Alan “Eddie” Nixon, 63
Edward Alan “Eddie” Nixon, 63, of Hobart, Ind., died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at 4:30 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Dyer, Ind.
A son of Kenneth Nixon of Portage, Ind., and the late Phyllis Nixon, he was a retired ironworker of Local 395; an Air Force veteran; and former member of 909 VFW.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Nixon.
Survivors in addition to his father include his wife, Marla Jones Nixon; a son, Michael R. Nixon of Hobart, Ind.; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Mike Bottomley of Hobart, Ind.; three grandchildren, Jared, Hailey and Randy, all of Hobart, Ind.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Thomas and Sandra Nixon of Lake of Four Seasons, Ind., Ronnie and Bunny Nixon of Chesterton, Ind., and Bobby Nixon of Portage, Ind.; and two sisters-in-law, Sharron Belcher and Pat Keith, both of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, at Hobart, Ind., with the Rev. Richard Brown officiating.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Kenneth Osborne
Kenneth Osborne, 67, of Reids Chapel Road, Campbellsville, Ky., died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Ben Osborne and Minnie Bailey Osborne, he was born on Feb. 11, 1935 in Adair County, Ky., and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
Osborne served in the National Guard and was a member of the American Legion and the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F&AM.; He was a former electrician and retired mechanic of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
Survivors include his former wife, Jo Osborne of Campbellsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Malicia Osborne of Campbellsville; step-daughter, Misty Roller of Campbellsville; two step-grandchildren, Brooklyn Roller and Kendall Roller of Campbellsville; three sisters and one brother, Hilda Cox of Monticello, Marie Massey of St. Petersburg, Fla., Martha Ioos of Bardstown, and Wesley Osborne of Campbellsville.
Graveside service was at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10 at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Jim Durham.
Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of arrangements.
Donald Wurmser
Donald Wurmser, 64, of Campbellsville, Ky., formerly of Louisville, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Ted Wurmser and Ruth Feather Wurmser, he was born on Jan. 20, 1938 in Jefferson County, Ky.
Wurmser was a retired heavy equipment operator with Jefferson County Government.
He was married
to Judy Skaggs on June 4, 1977, who survives.
Other survivors include, one daughter, Ruthie Wurmser of Brandenburg; two granddaughters, Heather Marie Jones and Katie Beth Bennett of Brandenburg; and two great-grandchildren, Arien Bennett and Byron Bennett of Brandenburg.
The body was cremated and a private memorial service was held.

John Huel Madole
John Huel Madole, 59, of Old Columbia Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002 in Adair County, Ky., after an illness.
He was the son of the late Huel Berry Madole and Agnes Braden Madole.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a world class engraver having been a former member of the Gun Engravers Guild and Gun Builders Guild of America. He was awarded best of show in 1989 and 1990.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Bobby Morrison of Burkesville; and three special friends, Jimmy Long, and Cindi and Junior Alexander, all of Columbia.
Funeral was at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 7 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Lebanon National cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. Warren Wolfe officiated.
Pallbearers were Phillip DeSpain, David "Blue" Bryant, Bobby Landis, Harry Spence, Calvin McKay and Tony Gillespie.
Roy Parker York
Roy Parker "Jimmy" York, 60, of Green County, Ky., died on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Elver Parker York and Iva Dolly Morrison York, he was born on Nov. 2, 1941 in Cumberland County, Ky., and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
He was married
to Wanda Faye Garmon on Dec. 14, 1963, who survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Timmy York and his wife Mary, Donnie York and his wife Joan, Stacy York and his fiance Yolanda and Jeremy York, all of Greensburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and C.J. Coffey and Vickie and Chris Pendleton, both of Greensburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Donell and Martha York of Burkesville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lou Belle and William Veatch and Betty Jo and Butch Wheatley, both of Campbellsville; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two step-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Odell York and Jerry York.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Whitehill cemetery. Bro. Allen Durrett officiated.
Pallbearers were Chris York, C.J. Coffey, Tommy Garmon, Terry "Bubby" York, Freddy Garmon and Bobby Garmon.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Family Fund and can be made at the funeral home.
Marie McKinney Williams
Marie McKinney Williams, 88, of Cookeville, Tenn., formerly of Columbia, Ky., died on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tenn., after a short illness.
She was the daughter of the late Jesse Franklin and Sarah Tyree McKinney of Estil County, Ky., and was a member of First Baptist Church in Cookeville and a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Jack and Jerry Williams, both of Cookeville, Tenn.; one brother, Jesse Franklin McKinney of Blue Ash, Ohio; one sister, Pauline Pullins of Berea, Ky.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was at noon on Monday, Oct. 7 at Berea cemetery in Berea, Ky. Dr. Michael Watts officiated.

Johnny Wilson
Johnny Wilson, 59, of Columbia, Ky., died on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia.
He was the son of the late Ray and Blanche Perry Wilson of Adair County and was a former electrician.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Haynes Wilson of Columbia; two sons, Dwayne Wilson of Columbia, and Daryl Wilson of Milltown, Ky.; two daughters, Darlene Bragg of Howardstown, Ky., and Danette Burton of Columbia; three brothers, Robert J. Wilson of Bloomfield, Ky., Albert R. Wilson of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Ben Wilson of Greensburg; four sisters, Marilyn Baker of Greensburg, Nellie Boone of New Haven, Ky., Bertha Horstman and Patricia Bingham, both of Columbia; five grandchildren, Mickey Keltner, Dayne Bragg, Ashley Wilson, Angel Burton and Kyron Burton.
The body was cremated.

Addie Booher
Addie Hooker Hurt Booher, 87, of Hemet, Calif., formerly of Columbia and Burkesville, Ky., died on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Nelson and Cora Cheatham Hurt.
She was married
to Sam Ed Booher who preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Nelda Patton and her husband Billy of Columbia, Linda Clark and her husband Ken of Columbia, and Willow Dean Proffitt of Norco, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister Helena Fudge of Burkesville.
Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. in Norco, Calif.
Judy A. Bryant
Judy A. Bryant, 55 of Columbia, Ky., died on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia after a long illness.
She was the daughter of G.B. and Christine Montgomery Bardin of Columbia, and was a member of Freedom Separate Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Besides her parents, Bryant is survived by her husband, Lewis Bryant of Columbia; two sons, James Lewis Bryant and his wife Maria Rosa and Christopher Wade Bryant, both of Columbia; three brothers, Jackie Bardin, Phillip Bardin, and Steve Bardin, all of Columbia; one sister, Janice Downey of Greensburg; and one granddaughter, Shelby Rosa Bryant.
Funeral was at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial was in Freedom cemetery. Bro. Carlie Riggs and Bro. Jim Goff officiated.
Pallbearers were Barry Bardin, Chad Bardin, Greg Bardin, Stacy Huff, Brandon White and Joey White.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
Delmar Hayes
Delmar Hayes, 80, of Elkhorn, Ky., died on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, in Campbellsville as the result of an automobile accident.
Son of the late Luther Hayes and Catherine Herron Hayes, he was born on Aug. 6, 1922 in Taylor County, Ky., and was a member of Stoner Creek United Methodist Church.
Hayes was a retired construction worker, truck driver and farmer. He also served during World War II as a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
He was married
to Bernice Herron on March 27, 1943, who survives.
Other survivors include, one son and three daughters, Carroll R. Hayes and Vivian Cochran, both of Elkhorn, and Delilah Cruse and Tonya Crain, both of Buffalo; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kenneth Hayes of Elkhorn.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Gene Shields officiated.
Pallbearers were Dennis Bays, Rudolph Cox, Tim Cox, Miles Crain, Aaron Cruse, Todd Cruse and Mike Helm.
Dean Bunnell
Dean Bunnell, 78, of Bibb Street in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in Elizabethtown, Ky.
Son of the late Benjamin Bunnell and Mae Allen Bunnell, he was born on June 3, 1924 in Endwell, N.Y.
Bunnell was a retired tool maker and machinist. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.
He was married
to Doris Deming on March 2, 1946. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons and their spouses, Douglas and Carol Bunnell of Endicott, N.Y., Donald and Cindy Bunnell of Greensburg and Darrell and Cathy Bunnell of Columbia; six grandchildren, Cassandra Bunnell and Jessica Bunnell, both of Endicott, N.Y., Sarah Bunnell of Greensburg, Amanda Bunnell, Caitlin Bunnell and Ethan Bunnell, all of Columbia; and one brother, Kenway Bunnell of Dunedin, Fla.
The body was cremated. Memorial services will be at a later date.
