Desmond Stanrod Hall, 77, artist and woodcarver of Kuttawa, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at his home following a long illness.
At his request, no funeral, flowers, memorial or graveside services were to be held. He requested that each who knew him remember him in their own way.
Lakeland Funeral Home of Eddyville was in charge of arrangements. He was buried in Hebron cemetery.

Mrs. Sarah Ann Marshall Carmody, 59, of Carlisle, Ohio, formerly of Princeton, died Monday, March 12, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital, Middletown, Ohio.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 16, at Eaton-Anderson & Unglesby Funeral Home, Franklin, Ohio, with the Rev. Roy Taylor officiating.
Burial was in Springboro cemetery, near Franklin, Ohio.
Tommy Book
Tommy Book, 46, of Highland Homes, Princeton, died Saturday, April 7, 2001, at 10:02 a.m. at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton, following a short illness.
There were no local survivors.
Graveside services were conducted Monday, April 9, at 10 a.m. at Cedar Hill cemetery in Princeton.
Arthur Rye Waters
Arthur Rye Waters, 77, of Eddyville, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at 11:45 p.m. at his home in Lyon County.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 7, at 2 p.m. at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville with Dr. Jerrell White officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bud Collins.
Burial will follow in Glenn’s Chapel cemetery.
Garth Hooks Sr.
Garth Hooks Sr., 79, formerly of Hooks Road in Caldwell County, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at 12:45 a.m. at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa, following a short illness.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 7, at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Tommy Tackett officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ronnie Hooks.
Burial will follow in Liberty Church cemetery in Lyon County.
Eliza Parker Hall
Eliza Parker Hall, 85, of Princeton, and formerly of Trigg County, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at 8 p.m. at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa of natural causes.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with the Rev. Wayne Knoth and the Rev. Ronnie Sivells officiating.
Burial followed in Caldwell Blue Spring cemetery in Caldwell County.
Dickie Cotton
Dickie Cotton, 68, of the Otter Pond Community of Caldwell County, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at 1 a.m. at his home of an apparent heart attack.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Helen Cotton, in 1998.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Bobby McIntosh officiating.
Burial followed in Princeton Memorial Gardens.
Masonic services were held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the funeral home.

RoseMary Orten Buchanan, 50, of Mahomet, Ill., and formerly of Murray, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at her residence in Mahomet, Ill.
Graveside services were conducted Monday, June 25, at 10 a.m. at Hazel cemetery in Hazel with the Rev. Elijah Balentine officiating.
There was no visitation. Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home of Murray was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 22, at 2:30 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Bob Lowery officiating.
Burial followed in Cedar Hill cemetery in Princeton.

Burial followed in Holeman cemetery in Farmersville.

Brenda Joyce Darnell, 53, of Ilsley Road, Dawson Springs, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at 2 a.m. at her home.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 23, at 3 p.m. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs with the Rev. Bobby Alvey officiating.
Burial followed in Ilsley cemetery.
Pallbearers were Johnny Hoard, Robert Royal, Doug Royal, Tony Royal, Van Brasher and Terry Sharp.
Honorary bearers were Mat Hoard, Darrin Darnell, Brian Johnston and David Livingston.

Gloria Jean Harper, 47, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Evansville, Ind., following a five year bout with cancer.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 14, at 10 a.m. at Browning Funeral Home in Evansville, Ind., with the Rev. Jim Nelson officiating.
Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery in Evansville, Ind.

James J. Williams, 75, died Friday, June 15, 2001, in Warrenton, Va. He was born Dec. 20, 1925.
Graveside services were conducted on Thursday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at Culpeper National cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post 2524 Honor Guard and American Legion Post 330.
Visitation were held 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, Va.

Entombment followed at Evergreen Mausoleum in Louisville.
