Melissa Sue “Missie” Allen Smith Murphy, 45, born October 3, 1965, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, surrounded by her family.
She is preceded in heaven by her children’s father, Michael William Smith Sr.; and her sister, Angie Thomas.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Murphy; sons, Michael and Matthew Smith; mother, Dolores (Ronald) Andrews; father, Samuel (Maggie) Allen; brothers, Tony (Tonja) Allen, Troy Allen, Tracy (Michelle) Allen; sister Michelle (Richard) Allen; step-brothers, Ronald Thomas and J.W. Harvey Jr.; step-sisters, Renea (Scott) Tidwell, Alesia Good, Patricia Gravens and Madolyn Chesser; a very special mention to her step mother, Polly Thomas; many nieces and nephews whom she adored; and a great niece.
Services were Saturday at Oldham County Funeral Home, 706 W. Jefferson St., La Grange.

Lee C. Stephenson, 50, of Louisville, died Sunday, January 9, 2011, at UofL Medical Center.
Survivors include his father, K.F. Stephenson Jr.; two brothers; and three sisters.

James C. Angell, 57
La Grange
James C. Angell, 57, of La Grange, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
He was a mechanic for CSX Railroad.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold J. Angell; and three brothers, Donnie, Bobbie and Harold Angell.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Theresa Angell; two sons, Michael Knoop and Nicholas Lee (Sara) Angell; two daughters, Lindsay A. Angell and Candice Marie (Jerome) Angell-Dickerson; a sister, Linda (Ernest) Ashcraft; nine grandchildren; and his harem.
Services were March 5 at Oldham County Funeral Home.

James Jeffrey, 67, of La Grange, died Monday Feb. 28, 2011.
Services were private. Oldham County Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Betty Jones, 75
Eddyville
Betty S. Jones, 75, of Eddyville, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa.
She is preceeded in death by two sons, Phil Jones and David Barry Jones; her parents, Harlan H. and Naomi Beck Ennis.
Survivors include her husband Bert Jones of Eddyville; two daughters, Lisa Jones Barnett of Loveland, Ohio and Dee Jones Bauer of Slidell, La.; daughter-in-law, Cindy Davis Jones of Goshen; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia A. Gorbandt of Campbellsburg and Martha N. Riley of Eddyville. Lisa Barnett is the director at PJ College of Cosmetology in Crestwood and her daughter, Whitny Perry, is a nurse practitioner with Dr. Ebbs in La Grange.
Services were Feb. 5 at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Survivors include her children, Sheri Kiser and Larry Kiser Jr.
Services were Feb. 26 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Burial followed at the Valley of Rest cemetery.

Lois Louise Carlock Lewellen, 86, of La Grange, died Sunday, March 6, 2011.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Gerald) Randall, Bonnie (David) Honn, Glenda (Bob) Worley and Deborah (Ron) Drury; and sons, James Lewellen and Rick (Jeanie) Lewellen.
Services were March 9 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial took place in Valley of Rest cemetery.
Dr. Michael Martin, 37
Crestwood
Dr. Michael Martin, 37, of Crestwood passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011.
He was an assistant professor at the University of Louisville school of dentistry.
Survivors include his wife, Jayme; and his two children, Jack and Clara.
Services were Feb. 26 at the Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Church.
Oldham County Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Ray Emerson Pearigen, 89
La Grange
Ray Emerson Pearigen, 89, of La Grange passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2011.
He was retired as a delivery truck driver for an electrical contractor, Kootz-Wagner. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, the Indiana Elks Club and the Covenant United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Pearigen; brother, Raymond Pearigen; and sister, Ruby Lawrence.
Survivors include two sisters, Panzy Cusac and Reba Randolph; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were March 2 at Oldham County Funeral Home.
Burial took place in Valley of Rest cemetery.

Gerald ‘Bud’ Rogne, 89
Pewee Valley
Gerald “Bud” Rogne, 89, of Pewee Valley, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011.
He was a retired manager for RCA Communication, a member of Pewee Valley Baptist Church, and an honorary life member of B.P.O.E. #1770.
He was also a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Rogne; and daughter, Patricia Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita; son, Richard Webster; sister, Ella Mae Cowans; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Feb. 28 at Pewee Valley Baptist Church.
Burial took place in Floydsburg cemetery.

Christopher Tomhave Stock, 48
Westport
Christopher Tomhave Stock, 48, was called home to his heavenly Father on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011. Stock was a loving father, husband, son, uncle and friend. Stock was the chief and a 20-year veteran of the Westport Volunteer Fire Department.
He spent his life protecting others and has been called home to protect from above.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Stock; and brother, Geoffrey Stock.
Survivors include his wife, Mandy; 5-year-old sons, Samuel and Cameron; 10-month-old daughter, Morgan; mother, Sue Stock; and several nieces and nephews.
The body was cremated.
Stock received full honors during a line of duty death service March 4 at La Grange Baptist Church and a procession of emergency vehicles that stretched a mile.
Memorial contributions may go to his family via the Christopher Stock Memorial Fund at PNC Bank; WHAS Crusade for Children, Westport Volunteer Fire Dept., or Supporting Heroes.
