Lucy Mae Coyle
Lucy Mae Coyle, 80, formerly of Grant Ave., died Thursday at Camelot Health Center.
She was a retired school traffic guard, having served Seneca, Goldsmith and St. Pius X schools, and a member of Beargrass Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis H. Coyle, in 1977.
She is survived by daughters, Bonnie L. Coyle, Pamela S. Burk and Leeanne C. Vissers; a son, Lewis W. Coyle; and four grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Ln., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens- East. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Sunday.
Jane Quick Doyle
Jane Quick Doyle, 78, of Louisville, died Saturday, August 2, in Baptist Hospital East.
She was a native of Johnson City, NY, past president of the Louisville, Newcomer's Club, Life Member of the DAV Auxillary and the Air Force Office Special Investigations, and a member of TROA Auxillary, the Society of Military Widows, and the Military Order of World Wars.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. James L. Doyle.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia D. Cooke, Tallahassee, FL and Ruth D. Alexander; a son, James L. Doyle, Jr.; a sister, Evelyn Kanazawich, Vestal, NY; a son-in-law, Eugene Alexander; and a grandson, William D. Alexander.
Memorial service at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane, Thursday at 11:30 am. Burial in Arlington National cemetery at a later date.

Gail S Huecker
Gail S. Huecker, 75, died Monday, August 4, 2003, at Baptist Hospital East.
She was a Professor at Kent School of Social Work-University of Louisville. Volunteer for Centro Latino in Shelbyville, KY, an Honorary Fellow University of Louisville, member of the Board of Directors for Home of the Innocents, member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Shelbyville, KY.
She is survived by sons, Fred J. Shannon, Joe J. and Laurance Huecker, and six grandchildren.
Funeral service to be held at 12:00 noon Friday, August 8, 2003, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3345 Lexington Road. Visitation is from 2-5, & 7-9 pm Thursday, Pearson's 149 Breckenridge Lane.

Henry Redd Stewart
Redd Stewart, 80, of Louisville, died Saturday, August 2, 2003, at Baptist Hospital East.
He was a singer/songwriter and was on the Grand Ole Opry for many years as a member of Pewee King's Golden West Cowboys; and a writer of hit songs such as Tennessee Waltz, Slow Poke, Bonaparte's Retreat, and You Belong To Me.
He was a native of Ashland City, TN, a WWII US Army Veteran, member of Evangel World Prayer Center, and Nashville Songwriters Foundation Hall of Fame. He received many awards in country music including two gold records.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Darlene I. Collins.
Survived by a daughter, Lydia (Jim) Marrow of Campbellsburg, KY; two sons, Henry Redd "Colonel" Stewart Jr. of Eminence, KY, and Billy Ray (Sharon) Stewart of Norfolk, VA; a sister, Mary Helen Beard of Louisville; and three brothers, Eury "Slim" (Evelyn) Stewart of Georgia, Bill (Helen) Stewart of Mt. Washington, KY, and Harold (Ann) Stewart.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation is from 3-8 pm Monday and Tuesday, August 4 & 5.
Richard S. Givan
Richard "Jim" S. Givan, 80, of Louisville, died Friday, September 26, 2003, at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville Inpatient Unit.
He was a retired supervisor for Medical Center, Steam and Chilled Water Plant; a decorated Navy veteran of W.W. II; and a member of Caneyville Masonic Lodge # 635 and Caneyville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy E. Givan; a son Richard Givan; two daughters, Laura Pennington of Corbin, KY and Stacy Wickenheiser; a sister, Dorothy Hooper of Caneyville; three brothers, S.L. Givan of Caneyville, Phillip Givan of OK, and Robert Givan; four grandchildren, Lindsay Pennington-Dillman of Durham, NC, Samuel Pennington of Corbin, Alexander Givan McQuinn, and Meredith Leigh Wickenheiser.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane, with burial in Cave Hill cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 pm Monday, September 29.

Dorothy J. Sparrow
Dorothy J. Sparrow, 73, of New Albany, IN, died on Saturday, September 20, 2003, at St. Matthews Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Taylorsville, KY, a cashier for Belknap Hardware for 39 years, and a graduate of Taylorsville High School.
She is survived by numerous friends who cared for her.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 2, 2003, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, IN. Her body will be cremated. Arrangements by Pearson's.

Fred W. Budde Jr.
Fred W. Budde, Jr., 81, of Louisville, died on Friday, September 26, 2003, at the Forum at Brookside.
He was the president of Budde Church Furnishings and an Air Force pilot of WWII. He was also a Past Exaulted Ruler of the Elks Lodge #192 in Jackson, TN; a member of the Kappa Chapter of SAE fraternity at the University of Tennessee; and an elder at Second Presbyterian Church.
His is survived by his wife the former, Frances Hilliard; son, Fred (Robin) Budde, III; daughters, Mary Dale (Mike) Reynolds, Fran (Brad) Bickett and Carol Budde; sisters, Mrs. Anna Williams and Mrs. Regina Bundy; and 7 grandchildren, Fred Budde IV, Thomas Budde, Emily, David, Christopher and Gregory Reynolds, and Laura Bickett.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 30 at Hollywood cemetery in Jackson, TN. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Sunday, September 28, at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane.

Mildred Ford Snawder
Mildred Ford Snawder, 82, of Prospect, died Monday, September 29, 2003, at Baptist Hospital East.
She was a former medical business manager and church organist. She was also a member of Prospect Christian Church and Hunting Creek Country Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John M. Snawder, a former pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Clifton Heights Baptist Church, and Ralph Avenue Baptist Church, all of Louisville, and Calvary Baptist and First Baptist Church, both of Effingham, IL.
She is survived by daughters, Jonda (Dr. Tom) Wiggins of Prospect; Marian (Dr. E. Ramsey) Burton of Prospect; and Blanche (Dave) Wibbels of Louisville; a grandson, Brock Ramsey Burton; and a grandaughter, Marra Grace Burton.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 5, 2003, at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane. Private entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be after 1:00 pm Sunday, October 5.
Helen C. Koegel
Helen C. Koegel, 81, of Louisville, died Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at Baptist Hospital East.
She was a native of Kenosha, Wisconsin; a retired private secretary for General Electric Medical Systems; and attended Calvin Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert L. Koegel; a son, Dr. Robert L. Koegel and his wife, Dr. Lynne Kern Koegel of Montecito, CA; a daughter, Sharon A. Mills of Louisville; a brother, Otto Christ of Union Grove, WI; a sister, Gertrude Wagner of Altoona, FL; four grandchildren, Jennifer Newell, Christopher Mills, and Ashley and Brittany Koegel; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Austin Newell.
A memorial service will be held at the Cornell Trace Clubhouse. Arrangements by Pearson's.
Agnes L. Mattingly
Agnes L. Mattingly, 78, of Louisville, died Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at Friendship Manor.
She was a retired department manager for Consolidated Sales Corporation and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Barry and Buddy Mattingly; a daughter, Jackie Mattingly; two brothers; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, December 5, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington. Visitation is from 2-8 pm Thursday, December 4 at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane.

Washington Tullis Porter III
Washington Tullis “T” Porter III, 93, of Louisville, died Friday, November 28, 2003.
Born February 19, 1910, in Norwood, OH, near Cincinnati. He was a graduate of Norwood High School and Purdue University (1933), where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He and his family moved to Louisville in 1947, where he was vice president of sales at Porcelain Metals Corporation until his retirement. He was the first and longtime mayor of the City of Bellewood in Jefferson County. He was a past president of the Porcelain Enamel Institute, a national trade group. He was a charter member of River Road Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Mary Sebald (Monfort) Porter in 1998.
He is survived by two sons and their wives, Elias Riggs Monfort III and Hathalie, of Sunnyvale, CA, and Stephen Tullis Porter and Devona (and her children, Alison and Betsy); six grandchildren, Stephen Ward Monfort, Scott McQueen Monfort, Jonathan Sebald Monfort and his wife, Cindy and Christopher Riggs Monfort and his wife, Kimberly, all of California, Clay Cunningham Tullis Porter and Elizabeth McCann Porter Kelley and her husband, Matthew; and one great-grandchild, Caleb Ryan Kelley.
His funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 4, 2003, at Pearson’s, 149 Breckenridge Lane, with burial in Cave Hill cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 pm Wednesday, December 3, 2003.
