Kaylee Jordon Hylton, infant daughter of Jordan Hylton of Forest Hills, Kentucky and Brittany Bailey of Johns Creek, Kentucky, was stillborn Friday, November 26, 2004, at Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, Kentucky
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandparents, Debbie and Estil Hylton of Forest Hills, Kentucky and maternal grandparents, Dwayne and Christine Bailey of Johns Creek, Kentucky and great-grandparents, Wayne and Shirley Leedy of McAndrews, Kentucky
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Mt. View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Kentucky

Robert Anthony
Robert Anthony, 72, of Pikeville, Kentucky, died Friday, November 26, 2004, at Pikeville Medical Center.
Born July 23, 1932 in Edby Stone, Pa., he was a son of the late Robert W. and Flora Olivia Culley Anthony.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Caroline Anthony.
He was an airlines employee and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean War.
Survivors include: a son, James (Teresa) Anthony of Pikeville, Kentucky; a daughter, Roberta Alley of California; a sister, Kay Bailey of Chester, Pa.; five grandchildren, Robbie Stacy, Chris Stacy, Scotty Stacy, Jamie Anthony and Sunshine Anthony; and one great-grandchild, R.J. Stacy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at Community Funeral Home with Robert Worrix and others officiating.
Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young cemetery at East Shelbiana, Kentucky
Visitation will be after 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at the funeral home.

Glenn Vipperman, 89, of Upper Johns Creek, Kimper, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 15, 2004, at his residence.
He was born December 26, 1914, in Deskins (Pike County), Kentucky to the late Robert Vipperman and Ann Smith Vipperman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 19, 2004, 11 a.m., at Calvary Primitive Baptist Church, Kimper, Kentucky with Primitive Baptist ministers officiating.
Visitation will be held beginning Wednesday, 5 p.m. for family and 6 p.m. for friends with a nightly service each evening.

Charles Dotson
Charles Admiral Dotson, 72, of McCarr, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 13, 2004, at the St. Joseph Hospice Center in Lexington, Kentucky
Born August 2, 1932, he was a son of the late George Walker and Anna Dotson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Hugh Dotson and George Walker Dotson Jr.; and a sister, Susie Mendell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, JoAnn Dotson; three daughters, Linda (Franky) Taylor of Forest Hills, Kentucky, Patricia (Jimmy) Runyon of Ransom, Kentucky, and Susan (George) Fields of Turkey Creek, Kentucky; a son, Charles Admiral (Sandie) Dotson II of Sidney, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Sara Runyon (Brian) Hensley, Jami Lee Runyon, Candace Fields (Jeremy) Diamond, Jennifer Taylor, Jeff Taylor, Charles Admiral Dotson III, Michael Fields and Mary Kate Dotson; brothers, Ray L. Dotson and Clyde H. Dotson, both of McCarr, Kentucky, Claude H. Dotson of Forest Hills, Kentucky; three sisters, Lois Jean Dotson of McCarr, Kentucky, Edna Fern Taylor of Lexington, Kentucky, and Brenda Gail Alley of Troutsville, Va.; an uncle, James T. Dotson of Pikeville, Kentucky; and an aunt, Edna Hunt of Taylorsville, Kentucky
Charles was an active member of Toler Freewill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He leaves behind a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at the Toler Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Dotson cemetery at Ransom, Kentucky
Visitation will be held Tuesday at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, Kentucky, with special services at 7 p.m.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Audrey Kendrick Jr.
Audrey Larry Kendrick Jr., 49, of Raccoon, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2004, at Pikeville Medical Center.
Born December 7, 1954, in Pike County, Kentucky to the late Audrey Ellis Kendrick and Anna Mae "Bevins" Kendrick, he was a disabled CSX railroad foreman.
Surviving are his wife, Dewana Coleman Kendrick of Raccoon; daughters, Sierra Breann Kendrick of Raccoon and Shandra Lynn Kendrick of Raccoon; brother, Jerry Mike Kendrick of Upper Chloe Road, Pikeville, Kentucky; and sister, Elizabeth Sue (Carl Dean) Kendrick Coleman of Raccoon.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 7, 2004, 1 p.m., at Community Funeral Home with Eddie McCoy, John Vance and others officiating. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young cemetery, Pikeville.
Visitation will be held at Community Funeral Home, beginning Friday, November 5, 2004, at 6 p.m. with nightly services at 7 p.m.

Thelma Varner Smith
Thelma Varner Smith, age 73, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at Bristol Nursing Home.
She was a native of Pike County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Cecil and Pearly Sweeney Varner.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 6 2004, in the Akard Funeral Home Chapel, Bristol, Tenn., with Rev. David Neitch, Rev. Gary Harless and Rev. Greg Dingus officiating. A private family service will be held in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Va. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Saturday, before the service at Akard Funeral Home.
Michael D. Thacker
Michael D. Thacker, 36, of Hatfield, Kentucky, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 24, 1968, at Williamson, W.Va., the son of Charles Kenneth Thacker and Marie Coleman.
Mr. Thacker was also preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Pinson.
He was a 1987 graduate of Belfry High School.
Survivors include his father, Charles Kenneth Thacker of Hatfield, Kentucky; mother and stepfather, Marie (Johnny) Coleman of Robinson Creek, Kentucky; his wife, Kimberly J. Doss Thacker of Hatfield, Kentucky; one daughter, who was the love of his life, Michaela Paige Thacker of the home.
Additional survivors include his sister, Subrenia Thacker (Timothy) Nickell of St. Cloud, Fla.; loving paternal grandparents, William J. (Dock) Thacker of Hatfield, Kentucky and Nancy Jane Almar of Bluefield, Va.; one step-brother, and three step-sisters; one niece, Heather Nicole Nickell; one nephew, Jeffery Ryan Ray; great niece, Faith Nicole Ray; special friends, Chad Dotson and Teresa West.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at Hatfield Funeral Chapel in Toler, Kentucky Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow in Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Kentucky

Phyllis Hodge, 50, of Salem, Kentucky, passed away November 12, 2004, at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Hodge Sr. of Salem, Kentucky; two daughters, Rene Curnel of Salem, Kentucky and Vicky Shull of Portland, Ore.; two sons, Robert L. Hodge Jr. and Tommy Shull, both of Salem, Kentucky; one sister, Carmen West of Williamson, W.Va.; two brothers, William "Billy" Whitt of Marion, Kentucky and Danny Whitt of Clinton, Mi.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Monday, November 15, 2004, 2 p.m., at Boyd Funeral Home, Salem, Kentucky with Pastor James Rundles officiating. Burial followed at the Loveless Chapel cemetery.

Thelma Varner Smith
Thelma Varner Smith, age 73, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at Bristol Nursing Home.
She was a native of Pike County, Kentucky, but had been a resident of Bristol since 1974. She was a daughter of the late Cecil and Pearly Sweeney Varner and was a member of Jackson Memorial Independent Church in Bristol, VA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Otis Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Denise Minor of Scottsville, Va., Vanessa Pritchard of Bristol, Tenn., and Renea Insalago of Mt. Carmel, Tenn.; one son, Lee "Ozzie" Smith of Mt. Carmel, Tenn.; five sisters, Shirley Gooslin of Matewan, W.Va., Lois Dotson of McCarr, Kentucky, Donna Hunt of Colbert, Ga., Betty Boyd of Westerville, Ohio and Fannie Orrell of Portsmouth, Ohio; two brothers, Bill Varner of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and Danny Varner of Matewan, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Susanna Minor; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 6 2004, in the Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Neitch, Rev. Gary Harless and Rev. Greg Dingus officiating. Dewey Murphy Sr.
Dewey Murphy Sr., 83, of Lovely, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 22, 2004, at his residence.
Born January 25, 1921, in Martin County, Kentucky, to the late Henry and Octavia Murphy, he worked in state and county government for the Kentucky Conservation Office and as a Deputy Sheriff. He was a member of Warfield Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leon, Harlen, Ira and Donald.
Surviving are his wife, Charlene Baisden Murphy; sons, Bill (Alice) Murphy of Warfield, Kentucky, Dewey Jr. (Connie) Murphy of Warfield, Kentucky and Greg (Patty) Murphy of Warfield, Kentucky; daughters, Nelma (Gordon) Goble of Inez, Kentucky and Malissa (Ron) Alley of Warfield, Kentucky; brothers, Jack Murphy of Columbus, Ohio, Arnold Murphy, Clarence Murphy, Robert Murphy; sisters Fairlee Marcum and Brookie Murphy; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
