John Robert Hudgins, 63, of Cynthiana, died Monday at his home. He was a retired machinist with Bundy Corp. and Ladish Co., both in Cynthiana.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Livingood Hudgins; sons, Robert A. Hudgins and Timothy Hudgins, both of Cynthiana; daughters, Diana Sue Jones and Judy Ann Bryant, both of Cynthiana, and Cathy J. Doyle of Nashville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Edward Cemetery, Cynthiana.

Helen Louise O'Connor Jones, 76, of Charleston, S.C., formerly of Warsaw, died Saturday at University of South Carolina Medical Center in Charleston. She was a homemaker and a member of Warsaw Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Woodrow Jones; and a daughter, Edith Pennington of Charleston.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dallasburg Cemetery, Wheatley.

Frank L. Miller, 53, of Tempe, Ariz., formerly of Crestview, died July 9 at Deserts Samaritan Hospital in Tempe. He was a foreman.
Survivors include daughters, Shellie Miller of Cold Spring, Kim Snowball of Alexandria and Cindy Miller of Ft. Thomas; sons, Frank Miller of Alexandria, Michael Miller of Crestview, and Derek Miller of Arizona; his mother, Helen Miller of Highland Heights; sisters, Linda Casablanca of Indiana and Geri Pearson of Ft. Thomas; brothers, Jeff Miller of Alexandria and Fred Miller of Florida; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Carr-Tenney Funeral Home, Tempe, is handling arrangements.

Bertelle Haley Woodward, 90, of Highland Heights, died Monday at Lakeside Place Nursing Home in Highland Heights. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Cecil Woodward, died in 1939.
Survivors include a son, William Woodward of Erlanger; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville, is handling arrangements.

Jewell Heinisch of Ft. Mitchell, volunteer at N.Ky. Senior Center
Jewell Heinisch lived above a dry-cleaning store in Vanceburg when she met her future husband, who worked there.
"I saw her coming in and out and I said, 'That's for me,' " said her husband, Ernie Heinisch.
Six months later, they married. They raised two children, and Mrs. Heinisch indulged her hobbies: decorating and dancing.
Mrs. Heinisch of Ft. Mitchell died of complications from Alzheimer's Disease at 2:03 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was 83.
She was a homemaker and a volunteer at Northern Kentucky Senior Center in Covington, where she served meals and made a lot of friends. She also helped decorate the center for holidays, arranging artificial flowers into bouquets of joy.
She dazzled on the dance floor. She won the Senior Olympics Waltz Contest a few years ago, dancing with her husband.
She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Lakeside Park. Her son, John Heinisch, died in 1981.
Other survivors include a daughter, Marquetta Barnes of Brighton, Mich.; sisters, Oma McCalley of Portsmouth, Ohio, Geneva Brock of Winchester, Betty Brannen of Lexington and Genola Cablish of Bradenton, Fla.; a brother, Calvin Sullivan of Maysville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

Thelma R. Beard, 87, of Edgewood, died Wednesday at Florence Park Care Center. She was an executive secretary with Brotherhood of Railway Clerks Union, Cincinnati and Chicago, and a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church, Lakeside Park. She was a former member of Erlanger Christian Church, and was active in both churches' choirs and Sunday school programs. Her husband, Raymond C. Beard, died in 1950.
Survivors include daughters, Raynelda Sharp of Indianapolis, Joyce Knox of Richmond, Va., and Vivien Augur of Edgewood; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to Redwood School and Rehabilitation Center, 71 Orphanage Road, Ft. Mitchell 41017.

Sylvia Boh, 69, of Burlington, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. She was a retired line worker with Steetman Bakery, Cincinnati, and a kitchen worker with Conner High School in Boone County.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Boh; a son, Clarence "Clem" Boh Jr. of Burlington; a brother, Joseph List of Walton; and sisters, Edna Cox of Erlanger, Adalene Taylor of Butler, Margaret Adkins of Covington and Loraine Witt of Latonia.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at Mary Queen of Heaven Church, Burlington. Visitation will be 4 to 8 tonight at Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington. Jean Brock, 65, of Carrollton, died at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. She was a retired employee of Teledyne Packaging Co., Carrollton, and a member of Carrollton Christian Church. Her husband, Bill Brock, died in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Chris Brock of Carrollton; a daughter, Carol Bates of Sanders; a sister, Doris Hoskins of Greenwood, Ind.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Thomas Brown, 77, of Crittenden, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired mechanic for Dance Freightline, Cincinnati. His wife, Pauline Brown, died in 1962.
Survivors include sons, Dennis Brown, Larry Brown and James Brown, all of Crittenden, and Donnie Brown of Union; daughters, Sandra Martin of Walton and Betty Bastian of Florence; a brother, Cecil Brown of Pontiac, Mich.; a sister, Mary McDaries of Corbin; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
