Lois Grimmet
Lois Grimmet, 70, of Huddy, Kentucky, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Williamson Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 24, 1930, at McAndrews, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Artie Fuller Justice.
She was a housewife and a member of the Sharondale Church of Christ.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Emil Justice and Gregory Bruce Justice.
Survivors: husband, Eugene Grimmet; sons, Barry (Donna) Grimmet, Delbarton; daughter, Henrietta Webb, Huddy, Kentucky; stepmother, Emogene Justice, Lick Creek, Kentucky; two grandsons, Barry Scott Grimmet, Delbarton, and Jeremy Webb, Huddy, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Lisa Grimmet, Delbarton and Sarah Beth Webb, Huddy, Kentucky; five brothers, Emmett Justice, Columbus, Ohio, Robert H. (Phylys) Justice, Ronald Justice, and Franklin (June) Justice, all of Toledo, Ohio and David (Rose Mary) Justice, Phelps, Kentucky, Joy (Roscoe) Blackburn, Huddy, Kentucky, Betty Rose (Mike) Fields, Lick Creek, Kentucky; great-nephew, Darrel Ross (Jennifer) Wilhite, Huddy, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2001, at Shannondale Church of Christ with Minister, Bob Werntz officiating.
Burial: Smith cemetery, Sidney, Kentucky
Visitation: after 4 p.m. today with special services will be held at 7 p.m. today with Rev. Clinton Layne and Tommy Evans officiating.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
June Jones
June Ratliff Jones, 76, of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Pikeville Methodist Hospital.
Born June 12, 1924, at Pike County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lonza and Betty Anderson Ratliff.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors: husband, Conrad Raymond Jones; son, Larry Gale and Donna Jones, Ashland, Kentucky; daughter, Sandra Jones (Bobby) James, Paintsville, Kentucky; brother, Verlin Ratliff, Parisburg, Va.; sisters, Pauline Epling and Catherine Puckett, Elkhorn City, Kentucky; granddaughter, Belynda Dawn (Jake) Schuman, Cardington, Ohio; one great-great grandchild, Sydney Schuman.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Minister Billy Ford officiating.
Visitation: 6 p.m. today at the Bailey Funeral Home.
James Justice
James W. Justice, 77, of McVeigh, Kentucky, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Kentucky
Born Nov. 21, 1923, in Pike County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Jim W. and Maudie Gooslin Justice.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde, Ernest and Carl Justice; four sisters, Bertha Helms, Hazel Miller, Pearl Brown and Juanita Justice.
He was a retired coal miner from Eastern Coal Corporation, a member of the United Mine Workers of America and a member of the Pinsonfork Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Keen Justice; two daughters, Sanda Marie Neace of Huntington and Sherry Denise Coleman of McVeigh, Kentucky; three brothers, Claude Justice of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Dennis Justice of Romulus, Mich. and Fred Justice of Majestic, Kentucky; five sisters, Lillian Hart of Romeny, Dealia Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio, Blanche Daniels of Newtown, Keatherine Wooten of Wyandotte, Mich. and Ernestine Arnold of Princeton; one grandchild, Candace Michele Neace of Huntington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at Rogers Funeral Home in Belfry, Kentucky, with the Brothers Lindsey Cornett and Jerry Horn officiating.
Intombment will follow in the Mountain View Memory Garden Mausoleum at Huddy, Kentucky
Brothers of the church will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, and Thursday, Nov. 1, at the funeral home with special services at 7 p.m. nightly.
Hester Cox
Hester May Cox, 87, of Pinsonfork, Kentucky, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Kentucky
Born Feb. 2, 1914, in Pike County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Dixie Runyon May.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Cox; three sisters, Violet Pyne, Pauline Meyers, June Maynard; and one neice, Paula Sue Swift.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Ypsilanti Presbyterian Church in Ypsilanti, Mich.
She is survived by one nephew, Thomas Scott Pyne of Silicon Valley, Calif. and Marlene Maynard of Pinsonfork, Kentucky
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Kentucky, with the Rev. Frankin Mounts officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mountain View Memory Gardens in Huddy, Kentucky
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, at the funeral home.
Earl Flemming
Earl Flemming, 90, of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at the Mountain View Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Bailey Funeral Home, with Scottie Adkins and others officiating.
Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park in Big Rock, Va.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home.
Cecil Goff
Cecil Ford Goff, 40, of Arab, Ala., died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001.
Born Oct. 31, 1960, he was a son of the late Edsel Ford and Naomi Justice Goff.
He was employed as an auto parts salesman and a member of the Freewill Baptist faith.
He is survived by two ex-wives, Brenda Lee Underwood and Tammy Eudy; three sons, Michael Shawn and Cecil James Goff, both of Michigan, and Terry Joe Randall Goff of Arab; one daughter, Mercede Kathleen Goff of Arab; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church, with the Minister Jimmy Jack Adkins officiating.
Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young cemetery in Pikeville, Kentucky
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, Thursday, Nov. 1, at the church with special services at 7 p.m. nightly.

Okie C. Martin, 73, of Inez, Kentucky, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at his residence.
Born March 12, 1928, in Virgie, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Frank and Martha Martin.
He was a machinist with the Yaeger Corporation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evanell Martin.
He is survived by two stepsons, Larry Webb of Winchester, Kentucky, and James Webb of Inez, Kentucky; two brothers, Ishmael Martin of Marion, Ohio, and Lloyd Martin of Columbus, Ohio, and three sisters, Madge Adkins and Gertrude Tackett, both of Virgie, Kentucky, and Naomi Logan of Columbus.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez Chapel with Rev. Jim Horn officiating. Burial will follow at the Hinkle cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at the funeral home.

Everett Clevinger
Everett David Clevinger, 53, of Pikeville, Kentucky, died September 20, 2001, at the Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Born Nov. 12, 1947, he was a son of Ola Clevinger of Pikeville and the late Edward I. Clevinger.
He was an exotic animal breeder.
In addition to his mother, survivors include a daughter, Victoria Elizabeth Clevinger of New Jersey; and a brother, Jerry Clevinger of Pikeville.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home with Paul Badget officiating.
