John A. Miller, 42, of Maysville, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas, of injuries suffered at Dravo-Black River Mine in Pendleton County. He was an electrician and a mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Florence Miller; sons, John W. Miller of Huntsville, Ala., and Joshua L. Miller at home; sisters, Linda May, Patricia Jones and Judy Detro, all of Maysville, Elizabeth Brown of Dover and Kim Hayslip of Blue Creek, Ohio; and brothers, Larry Miller of Minerva and Kit Miller of Mays Lick.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Palmer Funeral Home, Mays Lick. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mays Lick Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 1 West McDonald Parkway, Maysville 41056.

June Kathleen Motz, of Villa Hills, died at 8:35 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. She was a retired housekeeper with Central Learning Center in Ft. Wright.
Survivors include sisters, Fern Sparks of Crestview Hills and Shirley Wells of Pinellas Park, Fla.

Katherine Cherish Reed, 22, of Ludlow, died at 9:45 p.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, after an extended illness. She was an accountant with Hotel Discovery, Cincinnati, and a student at Northern Kentucky Universi ty. She was a member of Sts. Boniface and James Church, Ludlow. Her son, Sean Andrew Reed, preceded her in death Saturday.
Survivors include her parents, Margaret C. Reed of Ludlow and Arthur M. Reed of Florence; a sister, Molly Reed of Ludlow; a brother, Andrew Reed of Ludlow; and grandparents, Rosanne DeHore of Ludlow, and Arthur R. and Clara Reed of Sodus Point, N.Y.

Mary Virginia Reynolds, 88, Bardstown, formerly of Bracken County, died Saturday at Colonial Nursing Home in Bardstown. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Eddie G. Saylor, 52, of Elsmere, died at 8:02 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Flor ence. He was a concrete finisher with Trumble Construction, Boone County, and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Watkins Saylor; a son, Christopher L. Saylor of Ft. Mitchell; daughters, Christi L. Winkle of Cincinnati and Chasity L. Schull of Florence; brothers, Harrison Saylor of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Donald Saylor of Coldiron; sisters, Della Mitchell of Jeffersonville, Ind., Verilla "Bid" Riley and Janice Smith, both of Florence; and four grandchildren.

Edley Lee Wilson, 65, of Newport, died at 11:45 a.m. Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. He was a mover with Royal Furniture Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Grand Avenue Church of God, Taylor Mill.
Survivors include his wife, Susie Eldridge Wilson; sons, Roger Wilson of Newport and Paul Wilson of Foster; stepsons, Martin Pitts of Adams, Tenn., and Charles Prather of Morehead; daughters, Rita Maschinot of Melbourne, Christine Brandenburg of Foster, Wilma Napier of Dwarf and Wanda Maggard of Hazard; brothers, Beecher Wilson of Fairborn, Ohio, Bob Wilson of Mt. Iona Lancaster thrived on faith, friends, fun
Illness made it difficult for Iona Belle Sorrell Lancaster to work crossword puzzles or crochet bedspreads, but she could still read her Bible.
"She had a tremendous faith, and she loved her church," said her son, Donald R. Lancaster of Villa Hills.
Mrs. Lancaster, 97, of Independence, died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was active in several groups at Trinity United Methodist Church in Latonia, especially the Young at Heart Club, where she and several other older women were cheerleaders - complete with uniforms and pompons - at youth sporting events.
Mrs. Lancaster liked to have fun.
"She always had jokes to tell," her son said. "She had a good time."
Mrs. Lancaster suffered from the painful aftermath of shingles, which forced her to curtail her hobbies and some church activities.
Her faith helped her live with the pain, Mr. Lancaster said. "It was difficult for her. She used to say, "I wish you could just get old without hurting,' " he said.
Mrs. Lancaster also was a member of United Methodist Women and Colonial Heights Homemakers Club.
Her husband, Roy E. Lancaster, died in 1970. A son, James W. Lancaster, died in 1988.
Survivors include other sons, David C. Lancaster of Erlanger and Kenneth R. Lancaster of Independence; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Friday at the church. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to the church, 101 E. Southern Ave., Latonia 41015. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, is handling arrangements.

Jesse Elmore Bell, 87, of Augusta, died Monday at Bracken County Extended Care Center in Augusta. He was a farmer and a deacon with Germantown Christian Church. He was an honorary Germantown Fair director.
Survivors include his wife, Alave Jett Bell; a son, Roy Glenn Bell of Augusta; daughters, Judy Lee Waser of Brooksville and Joyce Elaine Edrington of Milford; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Robert John Biedenbender Sr., 68, of Louisville, formerly of Covington, died Sunday at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. He was a retired district manager with Ashland Oil Co., and a member of Covington Latin School and St. Thomas More alumni associations. He was a member of St. Barnabas Church, Louisville, and a member of American Chemical and Paint and American Electroplaters societies.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Rieman Biedenbender; sons, Robert J. Biedenbender and John Allen Biedenbender, both of Louisville; daughters, Nancy Richwalsky of Louisville, Barbara Staples of Ann Arbor, Mich., Joan Roma of Johnson City, Tenn., and Alice Fisher of Washington , D.C.; his mother, Gertrude Biedenbender of Ft. Wright; a sister, Betty Giglio of Ft. Wright; a brother, Jerry Biedenbender of Erlanger; and seven grandchildren.

Glenice Chambers, 85, of Ft. Thomas, died Monday at Highlands of Ft. Thomas nursing home. She was an executive secretary with Pollack Steel Co., in Evendale, Ohio, and a member of First Baptist Church, Bellevue.
Survivors include nephews, Richard Sexton of Fairborn, Ohio, and Simeon Sexton of Ft. Thomas.

Ruth May Cox, 89, of Vandalia, Ohio, formerly of Gallatin County, died Friday at Stouder Memorial Hospital in Troy, Ohio. She was a member of Drury Chapel Methodist Church, Gallatin County. Her husband, Charles B. Cox, died in 1973.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha B. Rivers of Vandalia; a sister, Gladys Ordonio of Kansas City, Mo.; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

Dr. John W. Grover, 74, of Ft. Thomas, died Monday at his home. He was a family physician in private practice in Ft. Thomas, and a board member of St. Luke Hospital. He was a physician for Holly Hill Children's Home for 36 years, and a vol unteer with Vine Street Medical Clinic in Cincinnati.
Dr. Grover was the team physician for Highlands High School football team, and a member of the board of directors of the Ft. Thomas YMCA. He was Mammoth Cave Research Foundation Safety Director, and a member of Phi Rho Sigma medical fraternity. He was a member of Ft. Thomas Lodge No. 808 F&AM, Scottish Rite in Covington, and Syrian Temple Shrine in Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Wagstaff Grover; daughters, Bethany Wells of Reno, Nev., and Jill Steller of Ft. Thomas; sons, John W. Grover III of California, Ky., and Dr. Richard W. Grover of Crestview Hills; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church of Ft. Thomas. Visitation will be after the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
