Kermit Cone of Springhill, La., died Oct. 16, 2000, at Lagniappe Hospital in Shreveport, La.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey Mortuary in Springhill with burial in Springhill Cemetery. Bailey-Turner-Winkenhofer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Cone; three sons, Tine Harrison of Arcadia, La., Kenneth Cone of Bowling Green and Steve Cone of Ovilla, Texas; two daughters, Retha Templin of Fort Worth, Texas, and Becky Cone of Bossier City, La.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Dorothy E. Foster
LEWISBURG – Dorothy Evelyn Foster, 89, of Quality died at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15, 2000, at a Morgantown nursing home.
The Butler County native was a homemaker and a member of Quality Baptist Church.
She was a daughter of the late Tol Forgy and Jenny Forgy and wife of the late Robert Foster.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Home with burial in Quality Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Foster of Shepherdsville, Glen Foster of Louisville, and Joe Foster of Morgantown.
Loueen P. Grider
Loueen P. Grider, 97, of Bowling Green died at 7 p.m. Oct. 16, 2000, at a Bowling Green nursing home.

Walter N. Hogue
Walter Neal Hogue, 70, of Bowling Green died at 4 a.m. Oct. 16, 2000, at The Medical Center.
The Fountain Run native was a retired supervisor for Holley Carburetor’s tool and die department, a graduate of Fountain Run High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Fountain Run.
He was a son of the late Earl Harris Hogue and the husband of the late Lois Rigdon Hogue Pardue.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Vaughn Funeral Home with graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fountain Run Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Sue C. Hogue; a daughter, Amanda J. Hogue of Bowling Green; a stepson, Robert H. McGill of Franklin, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Linda K. Justice of Franklin, Ind., and Patricia Ann Pierle of Bargersville, Ind.; two sisters, Geraldine Muir and Myra C. Blanton, both of Bowling Green; seven stepgrandchildren; a great-stepgrandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Everette D. Johnson
FRANKLIN – Everette Davis Johnson, 93, of Franklin died at 10:18 Oct. 16, 2000, at a Franklin retirement home.
The Breckenridge County native was a retired farmer.
He was a son of the late Sidney Johnson and Cova Davis Johnson.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Finn Johnson; two daughters, Kay Johnson Carter of Franklin, and Eva Claire Beair of Ohio; five grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Esther N. Lilley
Esther Natalie Lilley, 93, of Bowling Green died at 9:40 a.m. Oct. 17, 2000, at a Bowling Green nursing home.
The Simms, Ala., native was retired from Southern Baptist Sunday School Board with 75 years of service, received a national award for her work with young children as a member of that board and was a member of Dolphin Way Baptist Church in Mobile, Ala.
She was a daughter of the late Augustus A. Miller and Mable Harroun Miller and the wife of the late Patrick Edward Lilley Jr.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Presbyterian Church, which she attended, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery in Mobile.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a foster son, Jim Stone of Bowling Green.
Stonnie Parker
CADIZ — Funeral for Stonnie Parker, 79, of Cadiz, who died Oct. 15, 2000, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home with burial in Trigg Memory Acres.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home.
Local survivors include a daughter, Teresa Burt of Bowling Green.
Bessie J. Pedigo
CAVE CITY – Bessie Jane Pedigo, 94, of Glasgow died Oct. 16, 2000, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
The Metcalfe County native was a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church.
She was a daughter of the late Tom Jessie and Effie Gilpin Jessie and wife of the late Raymond Pedigo.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel with burial in Cave City Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home.
Survivors include three sons, Albert Pedigo and Danny Pedigo, both of Cave City, and Leslie Pedigo of Glasgow; two daughters, Betty Sexton of Cave City and Edna Parsley of Bowling Green; a brother, Ernest Jessie of Fairfield, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Vendon Phelps
LEITCHFIELD – Vendon “Dagwood” Phelps, 59, of Falls of Rough died Oct. 15, 2000, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
The Butler County native was an explosives engineer, and a member of the Society of Explosives, and New Assembly Church in Ohio County.
He was a son of the late Lawrence Phelps and Velma Tomes Phelps.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rabbit Flat General Baptist Church in Grayson County with burial in Rabbit Flat Cemetery.
Visitation is in progress.
Survivors include two daughters, Lanette Payton and Wandena Vincent, both of Leitchfield; two brothers, Glen Phelps of Caneyville and Jerry Phelps of Macon, Ga.; five sisters, Ann Penner of Leitchfield, Ovana Hardy and Veda Sallings, both of Louisville, Gaye McCoy of Bowling Green, and Una Kennedy of Franklin; five grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
