December 10, 1934, in Alabama. She died 3:38 A. M., Wednesday, February 26, 2003, in Louisville. Age: 68. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pitman Valley Baptist Church. She was former employee of Fruit of the Loom. She united in marriage to Delbert Lee Stillwell February 12, 1954. He preceded her in death May 11, 1965. She united in marriage Billy Gene Underwood April 9, 1966. He preceded her death September 6, 1968. She is survived by one son and one daughter and their spouses: Larry and Gayle Stillwell of Richmond and Sharon and Thomas Clark of Campbellsville; five step-children and their spouses: Larry and Gail Underwood, Lynette Polley, Chuck and Debbie Underwood and Sheila and Henry Stillwell of Campbellsville and Wayne and Rosie Underwood of Brandenburg; one granddaughter, Samantha Renae Clark of Campbellsville, seven step-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers: Maxine Morgan, Velma Blair, Clayeen Stankiewicz and Billy Jenkins of Michigan and B. M. Jenkins of Texas; her Little Buddy, Chico; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Molly Sue Hoosier and Florence Townley.

Stanley S. Hansen of Dowell Street, Campbellsville, son of the late Einor Hansen and Dagney Hansen, was born
in Racine, Wisconsin, August 9, 1928. He died at 5:05 P. M., Monday, February 24, 2003, in Campbellsville. Age: 74He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. He was a retired artist. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country in the United States Air Force. He united in marriage to Emancia Bonaventura May 20, 1961. She preceded him in death April 17, 1998. He is survived by several distant relatives and many friends. The body was cremated and no public services held. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
JANE AKIN
Jane Akin of Old Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Homer M. Allender and Geneva Bourne Allender, was born
September 10, 1930, in Fayette County, Kentucky. She died at 11:10 P. M., Monday, February 24, 2003, at her home in Campbellsville after a courageous battle with cancer. Age: 72She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church and attended the Vineyard Christian Fellowship. She graduated from the Louisville General Hospital School of Nursing in 1953, and worked as a registered nurse for some fifty years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Greensburg Chapter # 232 and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. She was the loving wife of Russell Akin whom she married on February 14, 1958. Besides her devoted husband, Russell Akin of Old Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, she is survived by two daughters and two sons and their spouses who provided tender loving care during her final days of battling cancer: Robert and Jewel Akin of Greensburg, Melissa and Elliott Mallard of Orange Park, Florida, Merry Beth and Brad Gold of Greeneville, North Carolina, and Rocky Akin of Lexington; nine adoring grandchildren: Niki Akin and Andrew Akin of Greensburg, Matthew Mallard, Jared Mallard and Elliott Mallard II of Orange Park, Florida, Carrie Gold, Evan Gold and Mason Gold of Greeneville, North Carolina, and Rachael Akin of Campbellsville; one sister, Bonnie Toler of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother, Gloria Janes, George Allender and Genevieve Watson.

He was a retired electronic technician. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country in the United States Air Force. He is survived by special friends, Ricky and Kathy Harden of Campbellsville and several other friends.

Washington Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Aileen Sullivan May 16, 1953. Besides his wife, Aileen Salsman of Maple Road, Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Davina and Brent Gupton of Campbellsville and Carolyn and Kevin Antle of Russell Springs; five grandchildren: Lee Gupton and Joseph Gupton of Campbellsville and Lisa Antle, Kayla Antle, and Christy Antle of Russell Springs; one sister, Rosetta Raikes of Lebanon; two step-sisters and one step-brother: Margaret Ann Meers of Gibson City, Illinois, Marita Wright of Campbellsville, and Tommy Underwood of Norfolk, Virginia; several other relatives and many friends. in Lexington, Kentucky, August 10, 1922. She died at 3:05 A. M., Sunday, February 23, 2003, in Campbellsville. Age: 80She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a former school teacher and an employee of the Campbellsville Housing and Redevelopment Authority and Manager of Jackson Towers for over twenty years. She united in marriage to William L. Blevins December 15, 1945. He preceded her in death February 17, 1994. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Sara and Jim Curry of Campbellsville; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Blevins of Campbellsville; one granddaughter, Leigh Anne Curry of Campbellsville; two step-grandchildren: Sara Lewis of Campbellsville, Graham Greenawalt of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; one step-great-granddaughter, Anika Lewis of Campbellsville. She was also preceded in death by one son, Phillip Blevins on March 24, 1995 and one brother and one sister: Thomas Pryse on May 22, 2000 and Jane Crawley Crain in August, 1999.

He preceded her in death July 13, 2000. April 2, 1970, in Green County, Kentucky. She died Friday morning, April 11, 2003, in Campbellsville. Age: 33. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Temple. She was a hair dresser at Smart Style. Besides her parents, Davis and Joyce Campbell of Campbellsville, she is survived by one brother Ricky Janes and his wife, Beverly and one sister Shannon Campbell Bishop and her husband, Derek; three nephews: Jonathan Janes, Benjamin Janes and Campbell Lane Bishop all of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Matra Slinker, paternal grandparents, Foskett and Dollie Campbell and one uncle, Woodruff Slinker.

She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a retired Fruit of the Loom employee. She united in marriage to Carter Jarboe April 4, 1942. He preceded her in death April 8, 1997. She is survived by one son and one daughter, David Jarboe and his wife, Mary Sue of Campbellsville and Nancy Loyall of Greensburg; one sister, Maxine Phillips and her husband, Wallace of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mike Loyall on January 19, 1997, and two brothers, Nathan Davis in infancy and Rudolph Davis.

July 4, 1916, in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 4:45 A. M., Sunday, April 13, 2003, in Greensburg. Age: 86. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She united in marriage to Finis McMahan July 1, 1933. He preceded her in death March 13, 1983. She is survived by four daughters and one son: Barbara Ann Kerr, Rebecca Lou Cox, and Carolyn Jean Woods of Campbellsville, Randall Ray McMahan of Campbellsville and Juanita M. Feamster of Newbury Park, California; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother: Geneva Warren of Louisville and Clara Smith and Bobby Hinton of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lela Warren and Myrtie Smith.

James Edward “Bill” Atwood 70 Mr. James Edward “Bill” Atwood, age 70, of Bass Ridge Road, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at the University of Louisville Hospital after an illness. He was the son of the late Pryor Atwood and Ella McDonald Atwood of Taylor County. He was a retired farmer. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Chester Atwood. Mr. Atwood is survived by four sons and two daughters, James Atwood Jr. and Roger Atwood both of Campbellsville, Jerry Atwood of Columbia and Waylon Atwood of Knifley, Joy Helm of Columbia and Theresa Gribbins of Elkhorn. Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive along with three brothers and three sisters, Donnie Atwood of Elkhorn, Cecil Atwood of Mannsville, Paul Atwood of Acton, Genevieve Graham of Campbellsville, Josephine Gabbert of Acton and Betty Hoosier of Elkhorn. Several other relatives also survive along with a host of friends. Funeral services for Mr. James Edward “Bill” Atwood were held at 11:00 A. M. Friday, April 11, 2003, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel Brother Raymond Atwood officiated.
RUBY MAXINE OVERSTREET AGE 68
Maxine Overstreet 68 Mrs. Maxine Overstreet, age 68, of Floyd Street, Campbellsville, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at the Taylor County Hospital after an illness. She was the daughter of the late George Kemp and Dolly Bennett Kemp of Adair County. Mrs. Overstreet was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Coy, Edmond and Elza Kemp, Hazel Clark. Mrs. Overstreet is survived by her husband Glenwood Russell Overstreet of Campbellsville, two sons and spouse along with one daughter, Mitchell and Karen Overstreet, Mark Dulworth and Shelia Caldwell all of Campbellsville. Four grandchildren, Crissy and Blake Caldwell, Laticia Wray, Daniel Stearman. One great-grandchild, Allen Wray also survives along with two sisters, Lovetta Burris and Doris Mae Corbin both of Columbia. Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Maxine Overstreet will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday April 12, 2003 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Brother Dave Walters officiated.

Herman C. Skaggs of North L & N Turnpike, Hodgenville, formerly of the Union Church Community, son of the late Plez Carter Skaggs and Nora Alice Thompson Skaggs was born
August 1, 1919, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:00 A. M., Saturday, April 5, 2003, at his home. Age: 83He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Union Separate Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was active in the music ministry and formerly held many singing schools. He was a farmer and blacksmith and shod horses. He united in marriage to Etha Mae Scott January 24, 1939. Besides his wife, Etha Mae Skaggs of North L & N Turnpike, Hodgenville, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Ralph Morris of Louisville; one grandson and his wife, Gary and Nina Morris of Louisville and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Willie R. Skaggs on May 15, 1996.

ANDY SATNOWSKI
Andy Satnowski of Cherwood Drive, Campbellsville, son of the late Michael Satnowski and Mary Najpaver Satnowski was born
September 18, 1924, in Passaic, New Jersey. He died at 7:30 A. M., Tuesday, April 1, 2003, in Campbellsville. Age: 78He was a veteran of World War II having served his country in the United States Army as a surgical technician in the combat zone of the European Theater of Operations administering first aid on the field of battle to the sick, wounded and injured. He was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, the American Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was retired from Parker Kalon after some thirty-five years of service. He united in marriage to Marion Bahr July 3, 1948. She preceded him in death December 6, 1995. He is survived by three daughters: Andrea Bartley and her husband, Bart of Campbellsville, Barbara Howey and her husband, George of Branchville, New Jersey and Christine Satnowski of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandchildren, Eli Bartley of Campbellsville, Michael Howey and Tina Wagner of New Jersey, and Stephen Rosellen of New York; six great-grandchildren and one brother, Walter Satnowski of Karney New Jersey; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
