Clyde A. Rinehard, 94, of Cold Spring, died Monday at his home. He was a retired district installation supervisor with Cincinnati Bell Telephone and a member of St. Paul Church of Christ, Alexandria. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers Club and Masonic Lodge No. 152, Alexandria. His wife, Bertha Ackerman Rinehard, and a son, Joseph Bertrand, both preceded him in death.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Susan McCall of Cincinnati; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will begin there at noon Friday. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.

Richard Bruce Robinson, 49, of Covington, died Jan. 10 at University Hospital, Cincinnati.

Minister 'Butch' Gillespie had 'big heart'
Robert Houston "Butch" Gillespie Sr. of Covington was always helping someone. If he saw a person stranded on the side of the road, he would get out and try to help them.
"Once he brought a man into our home, fed him, fixed his hair and let him spend the night," said his wife, Charlene Gillespie. "I asked him, 'Who is that'? He said, 'I don't know, but he didn't have a place to stay.' That's how he was. Butch had a big heart."
Mr. Gillespie, 59, died Wednesday at St. Charles Care Center, Covington.
He was a member of Ninth Street Baptist Church, Covington, where he was a minister and member of the adult choir and the Brotherhood. He also sang with several gospel groups and rhythm and blues band "Soulmatics."
He also had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. Even when he was sick, Mr. Gillespie was trying to think of something to do for others, his wife said. One of his ambitions was to buy Bibles for children.
Other survivors include his sons, Robert Gillespie of Covington and Dennis Gillespie of Atlanta; daughters, Darlene McGowan and Denise Graves, both of Covington; his mother, Alberta Varner; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Ninth Street Baptist Church, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 5 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mary Smith Memorial Cemetery, Elsmere.

Katherine Prudy Maury, 96, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Covington, died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday at Vitas Care in Water Park, Fla. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Charles Maury, died in 1959.

Ruthloe Combs Ravencraft, 87, of Covington, died Wednesday at Garrard Convalescent Home, Covington.
She was a retired registered nurse. Her husband, Henry Tillery Ravencraft, preceded her in death.

Fred Wayne Riddle, 51, of Glencoe, died Thursday at his home.
He was an auto mechanic and a member of Glencoe Baptist Church.

Herbert E. "Red" Simpson, 80, of Newport, died at 12:32 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
He was a retired conductor with the C&O Railroad in Silver Grove, a member of AMVETS Post No. 13 in West Harrison, Ind., and John R. Little VFW Post No. 3186 in Southgate, and an Army veteran of World War II.

Edward Huck, former jailer
When Edward J. "Ed" Huck ran the Campbell County Jail in the 1980s, his family pitched in to help.
Vicki Huck worked at the jail - nicknamed "Huck's Hilton" - as a deputy matron during her dad's four years as jailer. Mr. Huck's wife, Renia, cooked for the 67 prisoners in the o ld county courthouse jail on Fourth Street.
Mr. Huck, 74, of Newport, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He retired as Campbell County jailer in 1983. After serving eight years as a deputy sheriff at the jail, Mr. Huck was elected to fill the unexpired term of Edward "Cal" Schabell in 1979. He was elected again in 1981 for a four-year term.
"Being right there together - we were like a threesome at election night at the polls at the old courthouse," said Vicki Huck, of Newport.
"When he won - just to be able to share that was the highlight of my life."
Mr. Huck resigned two years into his term following unproven allegations he was too rough with inmates.
He was retained as a consultant by the Campbell County Fiscal Court through 1985. He also ran unsuccessfully for the Campbell County Commission in 1985.
Before his positions with Campbell County, Mr. Huck had worked 21 years as a Terminal Operations Manager for Roadway Express.
Daughter Debbie Stevenson of Bellevue remembers her father's compassion and generosity.
"My father was a very compassionate, giving man," said Ms. Stevenson. "I've seen him sit in Frisch's and know somebody there who didn't really have money to buy food, and he would anonymously buy them a meal."
Survivors besides his wife of 51 years and daughters are a son, Michael E. Huck of Newport; a sister, Lorraine Dunbar of Highland Heights; brothers, James Huck of Cincinnati and Emil Huck of Newport; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home. Entombment will be in Evergreen Mausoleum, Southgate. Rose Becker, 75, of Newport, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired housekeeper with Quality Inn, Covington.
