Mary Louise Leonard, 80, of Lakeside Park, died at 3:47 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was a homemaker and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Fort Mitchell and Summit Hills Country Club. Her husband, Leo Joseph Leonard, died in 1984.
Survivors include sons, Tom Leonard and David Leonard, both of Edgewood; daughters, Kathy Doyle and Melissa Persley, both of Lexington; and 10 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Mildred Marie Lidicker, 79, of Alexandria, died at 8:55 p.m. Monday at her daughter's home in Alexandria.
She was a retired teacher. Her husband, Elmer E. Lidicker, died in 2000.
Survivors include a son, Roger Lidicker of Fort Atkinson, Wis.; a daughter, Laura Hedrick of Alexandria; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Charles Arthur "Bud" Reeves, 80, of Florence, died Monday at Florence Park Care Center.
He was a traffic coordinator with Lasco Industries in Boone County, a member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs and Kersten O'Day VFW Post No. 2899, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth A. Berling Reeves; daughters, Janet A. Baum of Crescent Springs and Patricia A. Brown of Fairfield, Ohio; a son, Gary C. Reeves of Villa Hills; and seven grandchildren.

Erma Fay Clift Rouse, 86, of Alexandria, died at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday at River Valley Nursing Home, Butler.
She was a homemaker. Her husband, William Rouse, died in 1996. A daughter, Joan Youtsey, died in 1995.

Jerry Allen Courts, believed in miracles
Jerry Allen Courts wasn't afraid to ask for miracles. And sometimes he got them.
Mr. Courts was a toolmaker at Tente Casters in Hebron and raised tobacco, sheep and horses on his farm near Grants Lick - until an auto-immune disease ravaged his kidneys in 1993.
Mr. Courts received a kidney from his daughter Erin in 1995. The kidney transplant received extensive local news coverage and made national headlines. It also gave Mr. Courts another four years at Tente Casters and another five with his family.
Mr. Courts, 50, who was diagnosed about 18 months ago with a form of cancer similar to leukemia, died at 1 p.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati after a sudden leak of his abdominal aorta.
He vas a very optimistic person, said his wife, Bobbi.
"He could always take a bad situation and see something positive in it," she said.
He loved people, loved life and was productive, Mrs. Courts said.
"You always saw him doing. He was a worker. He was not an idle man," she said, noting that he busied himself on his farm when he wasn't at work.
He loved taking things apart, was a lifelong learner and a patient teacher, his wife said.
He lived by the motto "lest we forget," Mrs. Courts said, and had his life in perspective with God first, his family next and all of God's creation third.
"He grew stronger in his Christian witness through his illness," she said. "Everybody said he was an inspiration."
Mr. Courts was a member of Plum Creek Christian Church, Butler.
Other survivors include his daughters, Carol Beth Kniskern of Crittenden, Erin Pinkston of Butler and Julie Courts, at home; and sisters, Cheryl Heim of Butler and Janine Combess of Frankfort.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Plum Creek Christian Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be in Lenoxburg Cemetery, Foster. Memorials are suggested to the Julie Courts Scholarship Fund.

William Brown, 76, of Demossville, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a technician with Singer Sewing Machine Co., a member of Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Post No. 137 in Williamstown, and a Navy veteran of World War II. His wife, Pauline Brown, preceded him in death.

Esther Schoultise Bushman, 87, of Jeffersontown, formerly of Highland Heights, died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday at Norton Hospital, Louisville.
She was a seamstress with the Rauh Shirt Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Senior Citizens of Jeffersontown.

Elizabeth Ann Calvert, 61, of Morgan, died at 9 p.m. Saturday at University Hospital, Cincinnati.
She was a school bus driver with Pendleton County Schools, a deputy Pendleton County jailer and a deaconess with Morgan Christian Church, Pendleton County. She volunteered more than 400 hours to the former Pendleton County Hospital, and was a member of Bethel 12 Jobs Daughters and Falmouth Chapter No. 481 Order of the Eastern Star.
