Survivors include sisters, Addie Gardner of Frankfort and Alice Baker of Lexington.

Emogene Kinman, 73, of Williamstown, died Wednesday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Jonesville. Her husband, Orville Kinman, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a grandson, Scott Frost of Crittenden.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Jonesville.

Mildred B. Lillis, 86, of Cincinnati, formerly of Latonia, died at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday at Judson Village Retirement Community, Cincinnati. She was a homemaker, a former medical records supervisor with University Hospital in Cincinnati and a member of St. William Church, Cincinnati. Her husband, Nelson A. Lillis, died in 1970. A son, Michael Lillis, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Richard Lillis, James Lillis and Mark Lillis, all of Cincinnati, John Lillis of Gastonia, N.C., and Timothy Lillis of Latonia; daughters, Mary Ellen Lillis and Jeanne Colley, both of Cincinnati, and Anne Hackman of Portsmouth, Ohio; a brother, Richard Goettke of Cincinnati; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 20 at St. William Church, Cincinnati. Mrs. Lillis bequeathed her body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medi cine. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, is handling arrangements.

Connie Pierce Luers, 43, of Amelia, Ohio, formerly of Hebron, died Wednesday at her home. She was a computer analyst with Gap Stores Inc., Boone County. Her father, George Pierce, died in December 2000. Her husband, Mark Luers, and daughter, Nicole Lynn Luers, also died Wednesday.
Survivors include her mother, Betty Traft Pierce of Union; brothers, Steve Pierce of Hebron, Brian Pierce of Walton and Kevin Pierce of Florence; and a sister, Amy Stacey of Verona.
No services are planned. Cremation will be at Baxter Cremation Services, Cincinnati. Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington, is handling arrangements.

Nicole Lynn Luers, 9, of Amelia, Ohio, formerly of Hebron, died Wednesday at her home. She was a fourth grader at Merwin Elementary School in Pierce Township, Ohio. Her parents, Connie Pierce Luers and Mark Luers, also died Wednesday.
Survivors include grandparents, Betty Traft Pierce of Union and Al Luers of Cincinnati.

John T. Masarik, 77, of Florence, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a machinist with Rotek Inc., a member of St. Paul Church in Florence and the Knights of Columbus, and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Masarik; sons, Joe Masarik of Florence, Steve Masarik of Walton and Robert Masarik of Burlington; daughters, Marlene Clemons of Nashua, N.H., Kathie McNeil of Flatwoods, Cindy Masarik of Erlanger and Elaine Caudill of Ashland; a brother, Tony Masarik of Jeanette, Pa.; a sister, Ann Evans of Jeanette; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Vivian L. Minesinger, 80, of Fort Thomas, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church, Fort Thomas.

Robert R. Rappa, 77, of Denver, formerly of Northern Kentucky, died Tuesday in Wheat Ridge, Colo., after an extended illness. He was a licensed locksmith and a chef, a member of the American Legion in Cincinnati and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Rita H. Rappa; a daughter, Antoinette Rappa of Denver; and a sister, Carmela Tonno of Tarpon Springs, Fla.
Memorial services were this morning at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver. Memorials are suggested to World War II Memorial, P. O. Box 96766, Washington, D.C. 20090. Cremation Society of Colorado, Littleton, Colo., is handling arrangements.

Kenneth Paul Taylor, 61, of Florence, died Thursday at his residence. He was a retired Army Master Sergeant and was a Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include his wife Sherry A. Taylor of Florence; sons, Kenneth Paul Taylor, Jr. of Tomball, Texas and Richard Scott Taylor of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Jennifer Leigh Doyle of Erlanger; a brother, Lonnie Taylor of North Bend, Ohio; sisters, Carolyn Green of Morrow, Ohio and Angela Steffen of Florence; and five grandchildren.

Geneva M. Wolfram Thies, 89, of Bellevue, died Wednesday at Highlands of Fort Thomas nursing home. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony Church, Bellevue. Her husband, Robert L. Thies, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Mahoney of Florence; sons, James Thies of Bellevue and Robert J. Thies of Cincinnati; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Charles 'Kap' Kappesser, enjoyed making people laugh
Charles Henry "Kap" Kappesser loved to see people happy so he strived to make t hem laugh.
"He had a tremendous sense of humor, and it came through on everything he did," said his daughter, Linda Gabis of Cold Spring.
"The doctors had a very difficult time diagnosing him with Alzheimer's because he would always turn the situation around with humor. When they would ask him a question, he would tease back."
Mr. Kappesser, 78, of Fort Thomas, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a yard master with Conrail in Cincinnati. He was a member of Bellevue Vets, St. Stephen-Holy Spirit Church in Newport and the United Transportation Union. Mr. Kappesser was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Kappesser loved yard sales, auctions and flea markets.
"He was a very personable person, and he liked to have people around and talk to. He would fix anything for us as kids, but the deal was you had to be with him when he did it," Mrs. Gabis said.
Mr. Kappesser was also a family man. He and his wife raised seven children, "but he would not allow my mom to work," Mrs. Gabis said. "It very important to him that we have a good upbringing and mom be home with us."
Other survivors include his wife, Dorothy Walz Kappesser; sons, David Kappesser and Randall Kappesser, both of Cincinnati, John Kappesser, Richard Kappesser and Steven Kappesser, all of Fort Thomas, and William Kappesser of Morning View; a brother, Raymond Kappesser of Fort Thomas; a sister, Helen Scherder of Midland, Ohio; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen-Holy Spirit Church, Newport. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
Memorials are suggested to Edenview Adult Day Care Center, 2260 Park Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45206, or the charity of the donor's choice. Robert "Don" Boemker, 65, of Covington, died at 2:05 a.m. Wednesday at Rosedale Manor, Latonia. He was a dock worker with the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Survivors include a sister, Sister Dolores Marie, S.N.D. of Newport; and brothers, Stanley H. Boemker of Cincinnati and Raymond B. Boemker of Erlanger.
