He was the husband of Dorthy Peavler Tyler and the son of the late Richard Esmond and Ovie Taylor Tyler. Additional survivors besides his wife include his sister, Sylvia Yates of Harrodsburg and one nephew, Paul Abercrombie, Jr. of Jessamine County. He was preceded in death by his half sister, Myrtle Hendren.
He was a cook for forty-three years and a member of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church.

Rodney Eugene Divine, 44, of Richmond died Thursday, May 25, 2006. Born July 31, 1961 in Boyle County, he was the son of Bill Divine of Harrodsburg and Linda Anderson Myers of Ashton, Illinois. He was a painter.
Other than his parents, Rodney is survived by his maternal grandmother Sue “MeMaw” Terhune of Harrodsburg, one brother: Tim Divine of Paris, KY., three daughters: Aimee (Mike) Offutt of Rutledge, MO, Bobbie (Brad) Holt of Memphis, MO, and Charley Divine of Stanford, KY. One son: T.J. Engelbrecht of Arbela, MO. Four grandchildren: Tristen, Emily, and Katie Offutt of Rutledge, MO., and Hunter Holt of Memphis, MO.
Graveside memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the Battle Cemetery
in Washington County with Matthew Atha officiating.

He was the husband of Shirley Riley Cooley and the son of the late Fred and Emma McGinnis Cooley. Additional survivors besides his wife include: three sons: John Cooley (Cathy Royalty) of Harrodsburg, Kevin Cooley and his wife, Stephanie of Harrodsburg and Joseph Cooley and his wife, Jamie of Burgin; one brother: James Elmer Cooley of Lawrenceburg; one sister: Marie Love of Florida; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
He was a United States Army Veteran.
He was a United States Army Veteran, a T.V. Repairman and former insurance agent. He was a Amateur Ham Radio Operator, enjoyed electronics, flowers and landscaping and working on and collecting old clocks.

She was the widow of Walter T. Brown and the daughter of the late Burlow and Elizabeth Mae Cosby Sanders. Survivors include one daughter, Diane Thacker and one son, Hugh L. Brown, both of Wisconsin, two grandchildren: Gregory H. Brown and Vijay Thacker; and two great-grandchildren: Austin and Hayden Brown and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister: Gladys Drury and four brothers: Hillary, Ralph, Shirley and Jesse Sanders.

She was the widow of Raymond Thompson and the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Mary Elizabeth Catlett Lewis. Survivors include: two sons: Curtis J. Thompson of Owingsville and William C. Thompson of Danville; four grandchildren: Angela Gray, Bill Thompson, Jr., Chirs Thompson and Mitzi Curran; twelve great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Oscar and Pagie Lewis and four sisters: Gertie Devine, Johnnie B. Votaw, Mattie Schutshull, and Willa Shirley.
She was a retird cook for the Mercer County School Systems and a member of Cornishville Baptist Church.

She was the widow of Harvey Murray and she was the daughter of the late John and Serlida Napier Houston. Survivors include one son: Willie Murray of Connersville, Indiana; one daughter: Ellen Lathrem of Harrodsburg; one brother: Benson Houston of Batesville, Indiana; one sister: Monett Ball of Brookville, Indiana; ten grandchildren; twenty-two-great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters.
She retired after 30 years as a Beaumont Inn Waitress and was a member of Dry Branch Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

He was the husband of Edith Louise Robinson Kurtz, Louisville and was the son of the late Charlie and Bessie Baldwin Kurtz. Additional survivors, besides his wife, include four daughters: Mrs. Ken (Lavone) Southworth, WI, Laverne Cochran Mesa, AZ. Mrs. Tommy (Rita Kay) Stillwell Louisville, KY and Mrs. Craig (Linda) Smothermon Mesa, AZ. One son William D. Kurtz and Patsy of Mesa, AZ. One sister Mrs. Lee (Addie Francis) Shipman Mesa, AZ. Eight granddaughters, eight grandsons, twenty eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Charles, H. M., Harvey and Stanley Kurtz. Three sisters: Mary E. Gilpin, Lilly Shakleford and Gladys Hendren.
He served in WW II with the U. S. Army
He was a retired building contractor, 32 degree Mason and a member of Sunset Masonic Lodge and of Eastview Church of Christ Louisville.

Mr. Mike Royalty, 62, of Shakertown Road, Burgin, husband of Cindy Inscore Royalty died Friday, April 28, 2006 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born November 30, 1943 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of James Huntley Royalty of Harrodsburg and the late Margaret Isham Royalty.
Mike was the owner of Royalty Farm, Vice-President of Kentucky Rural Water Association, Manager of Lake Village Water Association, Inc., Chairman of Mercer Sanitation Association, Manager of South Anderson Water District, Founding member of Fort Harrod Goat Association where he served as Treasurer since it’s inception, Treasurer of the Fort Harrod Diversification Committee, Former Treasurer for several years of the Kentucky Goat Producers Association, Instrumental in goat sales and shows throughout the state of Kentucky, member and Past-President of the Harrodsburg Lions Club where he was a Past District Governor, member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church, a 1963 graduate of Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, former co-owner of Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home, and former owner of Royalty’s Fishing Camp.
Besides his wife and father, Mike is survived by two daughters: Tammy (Keith) Pecha of North Carolina and Kathy Royalty (John Cooley)of Harrodsburg. One brother Larry (Beverly) Royalty of Harrodsburg, three grandchildren: Staci Miller, Mikayla Duncan, and Logan Russell. One niece, three nephews, two uncles, one aunt and several cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 1, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Mrs. Eva L. Royalty, 88, of North Greenville Street, widow of William Hugh Royalty, died Friday, April 28, 2006 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born September 28, 1917 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Flossie Hill Freeman. She was a retired glass inspector for Corning Glass. Mrs. Royalty was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class and the Light and Lively Group. She was also a member of Widow to Widow, she also enjoyed traveling and baking.
Survivors include her two daughters: Barbara Crawley of Mercer County and Janet (Ed) Spencer of Lawrenceburg. Five grandchildren: David Crawley, Sharon (Glenn) Stewart, Sandi (Jim) McMurtrie, Scott (Linda) Crawley, and Emily Parkey. Five great-grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, two nieces and one nephew also survive.
She was preceded in death by one daughter Rosalee Parkey.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. Robert DeFoor, Eddie Russell, and Rick Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery
with Jim McMurtrie, Glenn Stewart, David Crawley, Scott Crawley, John Crawley, Nicholas Risden, and Brandon Sallee serving as active pallbearers. Albert Bland Moore 85, husband of 64 years to Bessie Louise Carter Moore, Nicholasville, died Thursday April 27, 2006 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington. Born July 15, 1920 in Mackville, he was the son of the late Robert and Gertie Roberts Moore. He served in the United States Army during World War II with the 192nd Tank Battalion, received two bronze stars, was a prisoner of war and was in the Bataan Death March. He was a member of the V.F.W., D.A.V., and an active member of Indian Hills Christian Church in Danville for twenty-five years. Mr. Moore retired as a sales representative and sales manager for KY Electric Steel Co. and Reliance Steel and he enjoyed gardening.
Additional survivors besides his wife, include two sons: Gregory B. Moore, Terre Haute, Indiana and Bradley K. Moore and his wife Donna, Richmond, Virginia; one daughter: Sheryl L. Crowe and her husband, J.D., Nicholasville; one sister: Vera Williams, Franklin, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Marshall Moore, Ancil Moore, C.W. Moore, Cecil Moore and Bob Moore, Jr. and one sister: Mary Lou Powell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Indian Hills Christian Church in Danville with Bro. Odis Clark and Lance Ladd officiating. Burial with military Honors will be in Spring Hill Cemetery

Mrs. Ruth F. Goodlett, 87, wife of Guy Goodlett, Sr. of Burgin, died Sunday, April 23, 2006 at her residence. Born, June 9, 1918 in Burgin to the late George Moss and Ara Parker Freeman. She was a homemaker, a former bookkeeper, and a lifetime member of Burgin Christian Church where she had served as organist, elder emeritus, and in numerous organizations in the church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 309, where she was Past Worthy Matron, Grand Organist of Kentucky and Grand Representative to Massachusetts and she had served as Chapter Organist. She was an avid pianist and former member of The Harrodstown Chorus.
Additional survivors besides her husband include: three sons: Gerald D. Goodlett (Barbara), Pee Wee Valley, Charles F. Goodlett (Pat), Burgin and Guy W. Goodlett, Jr. (Georgia), Boise, Idaho; two daughters: Ara K. Lawrence (Al), Brandenburg and Lessley G. Wood (Richard), Prospect; eleven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Elizabeth F. Humel and Lessley Colson and one brother: Max Freeman.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the Burgin Christian Church with Rev. Charles Brumley and Rev. Jeannette Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery
with grandsons: Michael S. Wright, David B. Wright, Kevin L. Goodlett, Colby L. Goodlett, Kaleb O. Goodlett and Patrick Massey serving as pallbearers and Juliet Carlile, Michelle DeLacey, Lydia M. Goodlett, Matt DeLacey and Mark Carlile serving as honorary pallbearers.
