She was the wife of Andrew Ruposky of Mercer County and the daughter of late Abraham and Mabel Martell. Additional survivors besides her husband include one son: Andrew Ruposky and his wife Brenda, Ohio; two daughters: Tina Sourbeer, Indiana and Linda Marie Meyer, Brandenburg; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was a dietician and a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. She enjoyed garage sales and fishing.

She was the widow of Carl F. Snapp and the daughter of the late John Henry and Eva Bradley Elliott. Survivors include: one son: Harold Snapp, Harrodsburg; one daughter: Margaret O’Bannon, Harrodsburg, one half-sister: Hattie Simpson, Lebanon; one half-brother; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Frances Lillian Snapp.
She was a retired James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital Nursing Assistant. She was a member of the Shawnee Run Baptist Church, she enjoyed knitting, flowers, sewing, quilting and farming.

He was the son of the late Hogan and Gustiva Dennis Sherrow. Survivors include one son, Greg Hunter Sherrow of San Diego, California; three brothers: Curtis (Joyce) Sherrow and Granville (Georgie Anne) Sherrow both of Harrodsburg and Harry Sherrow of Versailles; one sister: Lucille Sallee of Middletown, Ohio and one sister-in-law: Ann Merriman of Harrodsburg and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Allen Hunter Sherrow.
He was a retired Major of the US Marine Corps where he had served in Korea and in Vietnam.
He was a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church and a past commander of the V.F.W. He enjoyed fishing, sports and crossword puzzles.

Keith Allan McGuire 46 of Danville died Thursday June 15, 2006 at his residence. He was born December 7, 1959 in Harrodsburg to the late Keith D. McGuire and Betty Jean Rousey McGuire of Danville. He was an artist and a Baptist.
Additional survivors include one daughter Ashley McGuire of Harrodsburg, one brother Brian Kevin McGuire of Danville, one grandchild and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 17, 2006 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Bro. Joe Smith. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 noon Saturday until the hour of service at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Mrs. Betty Joyce Moore Watson, 70, of Perryville Street, Harrodsburg, widow of Walter Leonard Watson, died Monday, June 12, 2006 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born December 29, 1935 in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Ica Buffin Moore. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, retired from Cricketeer, and had most recently worked in the lobby at McDonald’s. Mrs. Watson enjoyed her flowers, her garden, and being around people.
Survivors include three sisters: Marie (Roy) Pulliam of Harrodsburg, Jean (Mac) Cecil of Harrodsburg, and Agnes (Bill) Driscoll of Salvisa. One brother Marion Thomas (Delores) Moore of Danville, five nieces, six nephews, and several great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with John Hockersmith officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery
with Roy Lee Pulliam, Jr., Jimmy Cecil, Charlie Cecil, Keith Driscoll, Guy Driscoll, Paul Thomas Moore, and Logan Steele serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rosalyn Sims Travis, 76, of Harrodsburg, widow of Thomas L. Travis, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born July 30, 1929 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Holly and Margaret “Maggie” Taylor Sims. She was retired from the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company and a member of the Crossroads Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Terry Wafford of Lexington and Linda (Reed) Arnett of Harrodsburg. Three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Marsdon and Haldon Sims.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Curtis Sims and Ronnie Ping officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens in Paris with Kenny Sims, Donald Eugene Taylor, Donnie Sims, Larry Sims, Benny Hager, and Gary Sims serving as pallbearers. Barry Taylor and Keith Britton will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Ida Rena Elliott, 82, of Elliott Rd., died Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born September 24, 1923 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. and Ethel T. Harmon Bottoms. She was the widow of Walter James Elliott. Mrs. Elliott enjoyed farming and gardening. She was a member of the Deep Creek Baptist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include her daughter Joann (Connie) Watts of Mercer County, four brothers: Ernest Bottoms, John Bottoms, Arthur Bottoms all of Washington County and Billy Bottoms of Lawrenceburg. Three sisters: Jewell Bottoms and Beatrice Taylor both of Harrodsburg and Jean Casey of Lexington. Five grandchildren: Don (Lynette) Casey of Harrodsburg, Randy Lee Casey of Harrodsburg, Diane (Jeff) Shropshire of Georgetown, Angie Cox of Garrard County, and Paula (Brent) Logue of Mercer County. Nine great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her son James Paul Elliott, three sisters: Alma Albertson, Opal Settles, Doris Perkins, and two brothers: Donald Bottoms and Bobby Bottoms.
Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2006 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Lewis Walter officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Lucile Thornton Pennington, 84, of Countryside Estates Drive, Harrodsburg died Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born December 15, 1921 in St. Georges Parish, Barbados, West Indies, she was the daughter of the late Johnathan M. and Edith Brown Thornton who served as Missionaries in the British West Indies.
Mrs. Pennington was a retired registered nurse who obtained her BSN in 1948 from Union University School of Nursing in Albany, New York, where she began her career as an instructor in medical and surgical nursing and was a member of the Cadet Nursing Corp. She was a member of the Harvieland United Methodist Church in Frankfort. Mrs. Pennington enjoyed sewing, reading, genealogy research, and working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband Luther B. Pennington of Harrodsburg, two daughters: Karen (Tom) Stigall of Louisville and Sandra (Don) Burch of West Des Moines, IA. Two granddaughters: Katy Burch and Kristyn Burch both of West Des Moines, IA. Three sisters: Mildred Martin of Middletown, New York, Marion Cummings of Houghton, New York, and Esther May Hollenbach of Ames, IA. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her son John Pennington and her brother Jonathan Thornton.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church with Dr. Kenneth Cummins officiating.

Helen Frances (Frankie) Carmickle, 73, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Monday May 29, 2006 at Charleston Health Care Center in Danville. She was born February 11, 1933 in Mercer County to the late Jake and Helen Smith Carmickle. A Baptist, she enjoyed reading and children.
Survivors include one brother James (Jack) Carmickle Harrodsburg. Two sisters: Ruby Willoughby Bowling Green, Pauline Garcia Ohio. Four nephews and nieces also survive, and several great nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Marian Charlene Graham Summers, 50, of East Office Street, Harrodsburg died Monday, May 29, 2006 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born November 23, 1955 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Betty Leonard Graham. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church and enjoyed shopping, the outdoors, and spending time with others.
Marian is survived by her son Jason Wayne (Patricia) Gabhart of Harrodsburg, three sisters: June (Dale) Duvall of Crossville, Ill., Nina (Steve) Logue of Burgin, Valerie “Bobbie”(Larry) Baxter of Salvisa, two granddaughters: Paisley Gabhart and Makayla Gabhart of Harrodsburg, several nieces and nephews and many family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her nephew Joey Dennis and a niece Jerri Lynn Nobles.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
