She was the widow of Edwin Devine. Born October 31, 1918 in Mercer County to the late Clarence and LuVacey Robinson McClain. Survivors include four sons Bruce E. Devine of Paris, France, C. M. Devine of Danville, Kentucky, Charles Leon Devine of Lexington and Richard M. Devine of Georgetown, Kentucky One daughter Shirley Slatten of Harrodsburg. Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren survive. One daughter Jeanetta Lou Hensley preceded her in death.
She was retired from Cricketeer Clothing Factory in Harrodsburg. She enjoyed quilting and liked to fish. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School for a number of years and was a Senior Citizen leader.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday May 27, 2003 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. James Harley officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery
in Harrodsburg with Eddie Parr, Kenneth Meredith, Marvin Osbourn, C.W. Grider, John Hawes, and Jerry Huffman serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. She was the wife of Edwin Carpenter. She was born July 7, 1926 in Jessamine County to the late Hobert and Elizabeth Woods Howard. Besides her husband, Mrs. Carpenter is survived by one son Hobert Cheatham of Harrodsburg. Two step daughters Jean Reynolds of Perryville and Connie Gibson of Harrodsburg. One step son Bobby Carpenter of Burgin. Two grandchildren, six step grandchildren, one great grandchild and eight step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Henry Cheatham, one son Lloyd Cheatham, a brother Albert Leroy Howard, a sister Trudy Howard Murray and a stepdaughter Barbara Strevels.
Mrs. Carpenter was a former driver for the Mercer County Library Bookmobile and an Avon sales associate. She enjoyed crafts and sewing, and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday May 25, 2003 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain Gary Story, Bro. Lewis Walter, and Greg Warren officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery

She was the daughter of the late John and Lena Selch. She was raised by her step father the late Riley Taylor. Survivors include a loving friend Lloyd Shewmaker of Burgin. Three sons; Rev. J. R. and his wife Jenny Asbery, Pastor of Smith Branch Church of God in Greenup, Kentucky Hubert and his wife Carolyn Asbery of Bedford, Indiana and Bill and his wife Judy Asbery of Orlens, Indiana. One daughter Evelyn and her husband Murray Reynolds of Burgin. One brother Arthur Selch of Liberty, Kentucky Two half sisters Georgia Woodrum of Danville and Mary Watts of Indiana. Twelve grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren survive. Her son John Edward Asbery and two half brothers Silas Taylor and Jake Taylor preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday May 20, 2003 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley and Bro. Henry Montgomery officiating. Interment will be in Burgin Memorial Gardens, Burgin with Gary Lowry, Timmy Lowry, Jerry Asbery, Gary Allen Lowry, Terry Camden, and Charles Edward Asbery serving as active pallbearers. He was the husband of the late Ida Jewell Holt Simpson. Born January 6, 1929 in Washington County to the late Arnold and Ann Lou Wilburn Simpson. Survivors include four sons: Jodie Simpson, Roy Simpson, Mark Simpson and Ricky Simpson all of Harrodsburg. One daughter Judy Rimer of Raywick, Kentucky One sister Mrs. Marshall Mary Yeaste of Cornishville. Fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews survive.
He was a retired farm laborer. A member of the Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing.

She was the daughter of the late Marvin Sims and Amner Reed. She was the widow of J.L. Moore. Mrs. Moore is survived by her son Ronald (Kathy) Moore of Richmond, Indiana and her daughter Ann (Richard) Wolf of Brewster, Massachusetts. Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her sister Leota Lowery.
For seventeen years, she had served as the Manager of the Colgate University Bookstore in Hamilton, New York. She had been very active in the Girl Scouts and was a member of the Hamilton Baptist Church in Hamilton, New York.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at the Spring Hill Cemetery
in Harrodsburg with Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial will follow with grandchildren serving as pallbearers. She was the daughter of the late Matt R. And Ida Florence Simpson Coffman. The widow of William Henry Lamb. Mrs. Lamb is survived by her three sons Matt David Lamb of Hot Springs, Arkansas, William Edsel Lamb of Lexington and Floyd Lamb of Paris. Two daughters Betty Worth of Lexington and Lottie Griffith of Houston, Texas. One brother Obert Coffman of Perryville, twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Herrington Lake Pentecostal Church, she loved to cook, enjoyed canning, and gardening.

Maternal grandfather Chester Lewis of Lagrange, maternal grandfather and grandmother Tom Berryman and Loretta Lewis both of Harrodsburg and her uncle Mitchell Lewis of Harrodsburg.

She was the daughter of the late John Dickerson and Juanita Lantham Cooley of Hopkinsville. She is also survived by her husband Jeffrey David Walton, her son Jeff Walton, and her daughter P.J. Walton and two grandchildren all of Hopkinsville. She also has Five sisters Deborah Jo Salters, Devonna Sue Hutson, Anna Claraleen Mann and Ronda Lyn Cooley all of Hopkinsville, and Amanda Dawn Cooley of Toledo, Ohio. Four brothers Carl Lloyd Dickerson of Georgetown, Johnny Darrell Dickerson of Harrodsburg, Charles Adrian Dickerson of Paris, and Randall Glen Cooley, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas. Also a large number of nieces and nephews survive.
She was a registered nurse at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville for the past eighteen years.

He was the son of the late John and Goldie Hall. He was the husband of Joyce Tackett Hall. Additional survivors include three daughters Vickie Justice of Pikeville, Lisa Cummins of Danville and Elizabeth Hale of Crab Orchid. Three brothers Edgar Hall and Roy Hall both of Harold, Kentucky and Gary Hall of Berea. One sister Maggie Adkins of Harold, Kentucky Two grandchildren Kayla Cummins and Jordan Hale. Several nieces and nephews survive.
He retired as a truck driver for Bizzack Construction Company. His hobbies included restoring old automobiles and gardening.

He was the son of the late Bert G. and Artie Johnson VanArsdale. The husband of Marie Raisch VanArsdale. Additional survivors include one daughter Ann V. Stone of Nashville, Tennessee. One son John Buck (Jay) VanArsdale,II of Oakland, California. Two sisters Bertie Mae Webb of Burgin, and Elizabeth Brewer of Eugene, Oregon. Three grandchildren Gretchen Stone, Sybil Stone both of Nashville, Tennessee, and Suki VanArsdale of Oakland, California. Two nephews and two nieces. One sister Jo Ann Drirksing preceded him in death.
Served in the U. S. Navy during W.W. II.
A self-employed 5th generation Blacksmith. A member of Burgin Christian Church where he served as an Elder and a former Chairman of the Board. A 50 year member of Mercer Masonic Lodge 777 F & A M. A member of Olekia Shrine Temple and a 50 year member of Eastern Star 309. A member of V. F. W. He enjoyed farming.

She was the daughter of the late Albert and Nannie Lou Darland Stumph. She was the wife of James R. Warner. Additional survivors besides her husband include: two sons: Barry and his wife, Mary Jane Warner, Winchester and Jeff and his wife, Sherri, Georgetown; three brothers: Albert Stumph and Donald Stumph, both of Harrodsburg and Sam and his wife, Barbara, Mackville; two sisters: June and her husband, Stan Green, Harrodsburg and Bertie and her husband, Jess Todd, Seattle, Washington; three grand-daughters: Kendall, Sarah and Katie Warner and one grandson: Brandon Warner.
She was a member of Harrodsburg Christian Church where she served as a deacon and a officer of Friendship Circle. She was a member of Bloomfield Christian Church for forty-two years where she served as a deacon, Sunday School Teacher, C.W.F President, sang in the choir and was a 16 year presenter at the Community Tree of Life. She was a 1951 graduate of Mackville High School and retired from the Nelson County School Systems after twenty-five years.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday, July 6, 2003 at the Bloomfield Christian Church with Don Chase & Tom Pierce officiating. Burial will be in the Chaplin Highview Cemetery
with Brandon Warner, Rob Walker, Ken Walker, Brenda Stewart, Teresa Miller and Donnie Stumph serving as active pallbearers. Members of the Bloomfield Christian Church choir, Sunday School Class and C.W.F. will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2003, and from 7:00 a.m. To 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the Bloomfield Christian Church.
