GARY LEACH
Gary Wayne Leach, 62, of Harrodsburg, died Saturday, October 15, 2011. He was the son of the late Harvey Herbert and Laura Perkins Leach.
Survivors include one brother, John Leach, Lexington; two sisters, Wilma Thrash, Xenia, OH and Clara Sargent, Harrodsburg; one niece, Diana Douglas, Versailles.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 18, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery
with military rites.
There was no visitation.
Milward Funeral Home in Lexington was in charge.
STEVE LECHOK
Steve Lechok, 82, of Harrodsburg, husband of Mabel Rebecca Turpin Lechok, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born April 21, 1929 in Beckley, W.Va., he was the son of the late Mike and Annie Morvich Lechok. He was a retired registered nurse from Ft. Pierce Memorial Hospital.
Survivors other than his wife include: one brother, Ted Lechok of Penn.; three step sons, Roger Rawlings of Tenn., John Rawlings of Harrodsburg and Steven Rawlings of Fla; two step daughters, Scarlett Gayle Goodlett of Harrodsburg, and Rebecca Ann Walkup of N.Y.; 11 step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Randy Mars officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery
in Perryville.
Visitation Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

KAYLA RAKES
Kayla Marie Rakes, 19, of Harrodsburg, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born June 2, 1992 in Danville, she was the daughter of Gary Wayne King and Teresa Kay Rakes Lewis.
Survivors other than her parents include a daughter, Anna Leigh Ayden Conley; two sisters, Jessica Leann King and Kimberly Dawn King; three brothers, Jordan Randall Walker, Joseph Kyle King and Zachary Tyler King; her fiancé, Nehemiah Jacob Conley; paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Gary King, maternal grandmother Laura Snow and maternal great grandmother, Aileen Bradley.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Daryl Rakes.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Larry Moore officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Chris Gribbins, Brian Gribbins, Terry Parnell, David King, Eric Newby, Chris Johns, Brian Cloyd and Ben Bradley. Honorary bearers were Bobby Bradley, Timmy Griffin, Steven Burlison and Blake King.

RICKY RAY
Ricky Burton Ray, 57, of Lancaster, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at the Christian Care Center in Lancaster.
Born Sept. 12, 1954 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late L. B. and Mary Stotts Ray. He was a retired farmer and salesman.
Survivors include a sister: Phyllis Ray (Delmer) Warren of Harrodsburg; a nephew, Greg (Dana) Warren, a niece, April Warren, two great nephews and two aunts.
Services were conducted Monday, Oct. 24 at the Carpenters Christian Church with Greg Warren and Sam Glenn officiating.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Carpenter’s Christian Church.
HOLLIE REXROAT
Hollie Pierce “H. P.” Rexroat, Jr., husband of Ann McGinnis Rexroat, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2011 at his home.
Born Feb. 1, 1940 in Russell Springs he was the son of Myrtle Sharp Rexroat and the late Hollie Pierce Rexroat, Sr. He was a member of White Sulpher Baptist Church and Georgetown Gideon’s International.
Survivors other than his mother and wife include a son, Kevin Rexroat of Georgetown; two daughters, Sabrina (Dusty) Adkins of Georgetown and Kim Rexroat of Lexington; three brothers, William (Donna) Neat of Cincinnati, Ohio, Johnny (Nadine) Rexroat of Jamestown, Tenn. and Ronald (Ann) Rexroat of Russell Springs; a sister, Ohreta (Billy) Sprague of Russell Springs; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Oct. 21 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. John Cravens and Rev. Harry Hargis officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kevin Rexroat, Dusty Adkins, John Manning, Ken Hale, Mark Roszkowski, Jessie Fields, Clancy Trent and Van Taylor. Honorary bearers were Earl Balden, Shirden Ratliff, Dennis Swartz, Bill Purcell, Wayne Friedly, Johnny Griffin and Charles Thompson.
ETHEL RUSSELL
Ethel Russell, 93, of Frankfort, formerly of Harrodsburg, widow of Woodrow “Woody” Russell, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Born March 21, 1918 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Flora Boswell Isham. She was a homemaker and member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice (Joe) Mefford of Frankfort, daughter-in-law, Diann Russell of Sandy Hook, Va., six grandchildren including Ann Robinson (Billy) Dunaway of Harrodsburg, 10 great-grandchidren, two step grandsons, one step great-grandson and three great-great-grandchidren.
She was predeceased by a son, Robert “R. C.” Russell; a daughter, Norma Jean Trayner and a son-in-law, Sherman Trayner.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Todd Lester and Ronnie McKinney officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dale Trayner, Brad Mefford, Brian Mefford, Brent Mefford, Cody Mefford, Brandon Sutton and Matt Osborne.
Visitation Thursday after 12 p.m. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
KENNITH SHEARER
Kennith Long Shearer, 66, of Harmon Heights in Stanford, passed away Saturday, October 22 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
He was born, Friday, June 15, 1945 in Garrard County to Sarah M. Long Shearer and the late Oscar Shearer.
He was a mechanic for fifty years, member of Grace Fellowship in Stanford, and had a passion for Harley Davidson.
Along with his mother, Sarah M. Long Shearer of Lancaster, he is survived by: one son, Jimmy Shearer of Berea; four daughters, Rebecca (Jeremy) Blansett of Lancaster, Sarah Gail (Craig) Crain of Stanford, Danielle Shearer of Stanford, and Lisa (Mike) Hawley of Paint Lick; two brothers, Joe (Missy) Shearer of Danville and Jeff (Dana) Shearer of Lancaster; four sisters, Martha (Larry) Lane of Spencer, IA, Betty (Carol) Williams of Harrodsburg, Molly B. Lane of Lancaster, Suetta (Gary) Ledford of Lancaster; several nieces and nephews, and 15 grandchildren.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Shearer.
Services were conducted Wednesday, October 26 at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Lancaster with Bro. Vola Brown officiating and burial followed at Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff Shearer, Joe Shearer, Gary Shearer, Gary Ledford, Mike Poynter and Dan LaMay.
Honorary pallbearers were Earlene White, Tony Cornelius, Ray Franklin, Phillip Sims and Rodney Rose.
Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
ROBERT SHERROW
Robert Allen Sherrow, 67, died Saturday, October 22, 2011,
Robert was born in Harrodsburg on January 26th, 1944., son of the late Herbert and Nanna Lou Roberts Sherrow.
He was a Tool and Die maker with Schneider Electric in Lexington.
He is survived by: his wife, Jo Nell Graham Sherrow; one daughter, Amy D. Sherrow, of Lexington; one son, Robert Steven Sherrow, of Lexington one sister, Linda Sherrow, of Frankfort; and two brothers, Herbert Lewis and Jerry Wayne Sherrow, both of Lexington.
Private graveside services were held on Thursday, October, 27.
ERNA WEBB
Erna Virginia Webb, 88, widow of Arlie Webb, died Sunday, October 23, 2011.
Survivors include: four daughters, Barbara (Jerry) Hoffman of GA, Doris (Mike) McDowell of IN, Gail (James) Moller of Harrodsburg and Nelda (Roger) Davis of Nicholasville; two sons, Timothy Webb of Harrodsburg and Randall (Marilyn) Webb of Bedford; one sister, Lorene (Bill) Shely of Lawrenceburg; one brother, Dale (Marilyn) Knight of Caneyville, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Betts & West Funeral Home in Nicholasville.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as bearers.
JOE WHITE
Joe “Jr” White, age 69, husband of Mary Alice West White, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 at his residence in Harrodsburg.
Born in Mercer Co., he was the son of the late Frank and Ada Conner White. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, pool player, loved to watch dirt track racing and worked as a printer at The Harrodsburg Herald for over 33 years.
Survivors include two children, Connie (Gary) Taylor and Michael Joe (Tammy) White; two sisters, Anna White and Dorothy Bugg, four grandchildren, Kristen Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Morgan White and Michael Joe White II; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters, Nelson, Cash and Giles White, Mary Helen Boyd, Ruth King, Ida King, Nancy Johnson, Heidi White, Geneva Henninger and Edith Dotson.
Funeral services were held, Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Mike Riley and Glenn Peavler officiating.
Pallbearers were Darryl Peavler, Scott Cross, Adam White, Jimmy Dwayne Johnson, Lester Dale Dotson, Kenneth Joe Cross and James Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren.

WILLIAM BEST
William Addison Best, 93, widower of Alma Fay Catlett Best, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born March 18, 1918 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Vernon and Maggie Key Best. He was the oldest member of the Benton Baptist Church, a farmer, had worked for John Henry Construction and at Growers Tobacco Warehouse.
Survivors include one son Tony (Andrea) Best of Mercer County, two grandsons, David (Sheila) Best of Mercer County and John (Julie) Best of Batavia, Ohio, five great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Best.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home. Burial will be in Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are David Best, John Best, Bruce Catlett, Glenn Best, Bobby Blacketer, and Terry Sallee. Honorary pallbearers are great-granddaughters and members of the Older Men’s Sunday School Class at Benton Baptist Church.
Visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 7 a.m. Thursday at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.

WILLIAM BRADLEY
William “Billy” Bradley, 90, of Lincoln County, formerly of Mercer County, died Sunday, Oct. 30 in Lincoln County. He was the widower of Grace Wall Bradley.
Born Feb. 28, 1921 in Boyle County, he was a son of the late William F. and Susan Broyles Bradley.
He was a member of the Benton Baptist Church, an Army World War II veteran and an avid antique car enthusiast.
Survivors include, two step daughters, Juanita (Delbert) Hamner of Mercer County, Betty Gail (Gordon) Whittaker of Lincoln County, one step son, Donald Salyers of Lincoln County, six step grandchildren, fourteen step great-grandchildren and five step great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth and Christine and four brothers, Guy, Fred, Claude and Ronald.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville with Rev. Tim Gray officiating. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery. military services were held by the American Legion Post #18.
Pallbearers were Shane and Jacob Whittaker, Scott and Eric Hamner, David Fields and William Beedy.

WILLIAM CASH
William Garland Cash, 74, Harrodsburg, husband of Shirley Proctor died Thursday, October 20, 2011, at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
Born July 19, 1937 in Marion, he was the son of the late Homer and Ruby Maxfield Cash.
He served during the Vietname War in the U.S. Army. He was a retired from the Corp. of Engineers.
Survivors other than his wife include one daughter, Kimberly Cash Peterson of Paducah, one sister, Connie Perryman of Marion, four grandchildren, Brandi Cash, Sierra Mason, Ashton Huffman and Rachael Huffman and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five siblings, James Ray and John Ed Cash, Willene Cash, Pauline Conyer and Louise Larue.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Myers Funeral Home with burial in the Salem Cemetery.
Masonic Service was at 7 p.m. at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
