TRELA BROWN
Trela Barnett Brown, 76, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at her home.
She was born in Washington County to the late Earl R. and Pearl Dorsey Barnett.
She was a housewife and a former employee of Corning Glass Works in Harrodsburg. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church, Senior Ladies Sunday School Teacher, Ladies Circle, and choir member; and a 1952 graduate of Willisburg High School.
She is survived by her: husband of 52 years, William Forest Brown; one daughter, Susan Renee Durr and Steve Adair, Lawrenceburg; two grandsons, Brandon Durr and Shawn (Morgan) Durr, Lawrenceburg; one sister, Jean (Raymond) Dearinger, Washington County; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Fairview Christian Church with Bro. Grant Mathes, Bro. Harry Hebert, and Bro. Mark Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Gash Memorial Chapel and after 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

AGNES BOHANAN
Agnes Davenport Bohanan, 94, of Danville, widow of James Kingcade and James Otis Bohanan, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at Pine Meadows Health Care Center in Lexington.
Born October 2, 1916 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Ealy Davenport and Artie Poulter Davenport. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Danville.
She is survived by a nephew, Steve Davenport of Glasgow; a niece, Linda Russell of Lexington; two great-nieces: Ann Thomas Moffett and Kate Russell Clevenger; two great-nephews: James Ford Davenport and John Gaines Russell; a sister-in-law, Helen Ford Davenport of Danville; a cousin, Georgia Hoover of Harrodsburg; two step-sons and four step-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Donald Davenport.
Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at the First Christian Church of Danville with Dr. Jerry Shepard officiating.
Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 1 at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.
A private committal service will be Thursday, June 2 at Spring Hill Cemetery
in Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: James Ford Davenport, John Gaines Russell, Robert Bohanan, Scott Bohanan, James Bohanan and Rob Bohanan.
Memorial contributions are suggested to First Christian Church, Danville.
LINDA CARTER
Linda Raye Morrow Carter formerly of Owenton, died Friday October 20, 2011 at the Haggin Hospital in Harrodsburg.
She was the daughter of the late A. T. and Marie Lusby Morrow and the wife of the late Dudley “Doug” Carter.
She is survived by: one son, Rob Trumbo of Louisville; and one sister, Bili Morrow Shelburne of Richmond, TX. Also surviving is a grandson; Austin Trumbo.
Memorial services were held on Sunday May 23, at the McDonald and New Funeral Home on Main Street in Owenton at 2 p.m.
GLENN FLYNN
Glenn G. Flynn, 64, formerly of Harrodsburg, died in December of 2010 at the Markey Cancer Center Hospice Unit in Lexington.
Born August 14, 1946 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Dr. Glenn G. and Hazel Culver Flynn. He was a graduate of Harrodsburg High School and Eastern Kentucky University. He served his country for four years in the United States Air Force and had recently retired from the Kentucky Department of Insurance as an investigator.
Survivors include three sisters: Jenny F. Darsie of Lexington, Judy (Frank) Parente of Falls Church, VA and Janet (Mike) Pay of Pasadena, TX; a brother, William L. Flynn of Cumming, GA and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services with military honors will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Spring Hill Cemetery. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at Beaumont Inn from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend.

RUBY HARDIN
Ruby Simpson Hardin, 96, widow of Vernon “Pete” Hardin, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011.
She was the daughter of the late William H. and Sarah Shannon Elerd Simpson. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Kentucky and National Retired Teachers Association and was a certified dental assistant. She retired from teaching in 1974 with most of her career spent at Nicholasville Elementary School.
She is survived by a daughter, Shannon (Norman) Jennings of Harrodsburg; two grandsons: Larry Vernon (Julie) Mitchell and Harry Joe (Sherry) Mitchell; two step-grandsons: Jeff Jennings and Jonathan (Lisa) Jennings, three great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday, May 27 at Betts and West Funeral Home in Nicholasville, with Bro. Rick Leach officiating.
GARNETT MOBLEY
Garnett Mobley, 79, husband of Rena Patterson Mobley, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born August 21, 1931 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Dewey and Myrtle Coker Mobley. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church and was retired from Dairymen, Inc. (Cudahy) after 38 years. He enjoyed farming and spending time at Loafers and with his McDonald’s friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Rhonda (Dale) Darland; two brothers: Ernest and Howard Mobley; two sisters: Cornell Reynolds and Joyce Britton, both of Harrodsburg; two grandsons: Brad (Michele) Barnett and Chad (Leanna) Barnett, both of Harrodsburg; two step-granddaughters: Robin (Kevin) Quinton of Harrodsburg and Kelli (Tim) Pike of Richmond; five great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steven C. Barnett; two brothers, Minor and Hanley Mobley and a sister, Kathleen DeRossett.
Services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, June 3 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Robinson and Chris Holderman officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Wayne Hart, Chris Holderman, Kevin Quinton, Tim Pike, David Mobley, Tony Best, Darryl Catlett and Harry Barnett.
Honorary pallbearers are: Larry Lance, Bobby Thompson with members of the Gladhand Sunday School Class, Louis Kerrick, Brent Curtsinger, Carroll Sanford, Jim Wheeler, Don Long and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 2 and after 7 a.m. Friday, June 3 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home.

CLARA SCOTT
Clara Dean Scott, 86, of Hill n Dale Drive in Lancaster, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Garrard County to the late Robert Franklin and Ethel Malear Scott.
Survivors include: two brothers, Charles Scott of Harrodsburg and Robert J. Scott of Austin, TX; three sisters, Virginia Russell of Lancaster, Doris Vanderhoof of Russell, KY, and Mary Claxton of Frankfort.
A graveside service was held Saturday, May 28, 2011 with Rev. Walter Arnold officiating with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Hatfield, Taylor Hatfield, Jimmy Claxton, Caleb Claxton, Jeff Scott and Rocky Lane.
Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
MARILYN TUGGLE
Marilyn Russell Tuggle, 44, of Harrodsburg, wife of Roger Tuggle, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington.
Born June 2, 1966 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Blonetta Sims Russell. She was the owner and operator of Tuggle Barber Shop for 25 years and a member of the Southland Christian Church.
In addition to her husband of 24 years, she is survived by a daughter, Tori Shay Tuggle; three sons: Waylon and Grabriel Tuggle of Harrodsburg and Cody Tuggle of Kandahar, Afghanistan and a brother, Rex Russell of Mitchellsburg.
Services were conducted Sunday, May 29 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Derek Baker officiating. Burial was in the Deep Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Steve Hardin, Glenn Hardin, Randy Sims, Jamey Yaste, Terry McElroy, Timmy McElroy, Paul Collier and Jerry Mattingly.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Relay for Life or Southland Christian Church.
SAM WATTS
Sam T. Watts, 70, husband of Linda Lewis Watts, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center of Danville.
Born December 22, 1940 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Charles T. and Florence P. Divine Watts. He was retired after 38 years from Dixie Cup as a printing press operator. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and enjoyed watching television westerns.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Bueford Watts of Harrodsburg; an aunt, Betty Devine of Harrodsburg and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mike Watts; three brothers: Billy, Orville Lee and Kenny Watts and two sisters: Glenna Deatherage and Louise Watts.
Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. George Dye and Bro. Dallas Daniels officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Joseph Hayslett, Jr., Bobby Watts, Benny Williams, Wesley Williams, Johnny Curtsinger and Gary Dixon.
Honorary pallbearers are: Ken Whiteside, Jimmy Gibson and the Men of Hebron Baptist Church.

Necy Byrd Beavers, 83, of Springfield passed away at 9:35 a.m., Saturday June 4, 2011 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center
Survivors include: three sisters, Faye Hardin of Mackville, Betty Crowe of Louisville and Audrey Chesser of Chaplin; four brothers, Harold Byrd of Lawrenceburg, Roy D. Byrd and Gerald Byrd, both of Chaplin and Gene Byrd of Louisville
Funeral Services were conducted Monday, June 6, at the Willisburg Church of God of Prophesy with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery
at Willisburg.

DOROTHY CLAYCOMB
Dorothy Claycomb, 85, of Campbellsville, wife of William Conrad Claycomb, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Campbellsville.
Born July 21, 1925 in Taylor County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Walter Sexton and Pearl Elizabeth Dixon.
She was a homemaker and worked in several factories in 1943 to promote the war efforts while waiting on her husband to return home from World War II. She retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after twenty-six years. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: Billy (Debbie) Claycomb of Campbellsville, Thomas A. (Darlene) Claycomb and Jackie (Ruth) Claycomb, all of Harrodsburg; a daughter, Connie Jo (Bill) Wright of Greensburg; a sister-in-law, Faye Sexton of Campbellsville; four grandsons; four great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Dianne Claycomb; two brothers, Roy O. “Tom” Sexton and Billy Frank Sexton and two sisters, Deloris Graham and Geneva Mattingly.
Services were held Friday, June 3 at the Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with Pastor Wayne Brooks and Rev. Ron Ferree officiating. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery, Campbellsville.
