KRISTEN DUFF
Kristen Michelle Duff, 26, of Parksville, died Tuesday, April 20, 2011.
Born October 18, 1984, to Sandra Benge Baker and Robert Duff, she was a 2003 graduate of Boyle County High School.
She loved life and her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed keeping house and making people laugh.
She is survived by: her parents, Sandy (Brian) Baker, of Berea, and Rob E. (Diane) Duff, of Corbin; her fiancé, Jeremy Chad “Worm” Mattingly, of Parksville; and her son, Bryson Christopher Armstrong, of Frankfort. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Mary Lou Duff, of Stanford.
She is also survived by four sisters, Alana (Jeremiah Brannan) Gatliff, of Danville, Kimberly Duff, of Junction City, Melissa (Bobby) Baker, of Harrodsburg, and Whitney (Sam) Hitchner, of Berea; two step-siblings, Ryan (Amanda) Wilson, of Williamsburg, and Whitney Wilson, of Corbin; three uncles, Paul (Tootie) Duff, Darrin (LeAnn) Duff, both of Stanford, and Greg Benge, of Junction City; an aunt, Debbie (Dan) Wilburn, of Crab Orchard; five nieces and nephews, Blake Gatliff, Cayden Moore, Camri Baker, Shelby Brannan and Maci Baker; and her fiancé’s children, Miranda Faith Mattingly and Emma Paige Mattingly.
Services were conducted Saturday, April 23, at the Stith Funeral Home and Family Center in Junction City. Rev. Davey Graham officiated.

A memorial service for Louis Forsythe McFatridge, Jr. will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville.
Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
ANTHONY MULLINS
Anthony Joseph Mullins, 72, husband of Carolyn Miller Mullins, died April 25, 2011 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born August 6, 1938 in Peytona, WV, he was the son of the late John R. and Ella Bates Mullins.
He was an Army veteran, a millwright for Ford Motor Company and a member of Lexington Avenue Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: one son, Anthony (Stephanie) Mullins, II of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Erin Mullins (Brian) Barger of Athens, GA; two sisters, Io Hunter and Marjorie Javins, both of Peytona, WV; and eight grandchildren, Caitlin, Emily, Hannah and Amanda Graves, Joseph, Jacob and Sara Mullins and Lazarus Barger.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Suella Mullins Graves.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 26, at the Stith Funeral Home and Family Center in Junction City with Scott Vifquain officiating.
There was a graveside service on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Mullins Cemetery
in Peytona, WV.
ALETHA NEWTON
Aletha Jenkins Newton, 77, of Danville died Thursday, April 21, 2011 t her home.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Homas and Myrtle Wall Jenkins.
She was a housewife and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Danville.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Samuel Newton of Danville and formerly of Harrodsburg; two sons, Charles T. “Bim” Newton and Bobby Keith (Gina) Newton; a granddaughter, Megan (Brian) Ruth; great-granddaughter, Haley Ruth and a sister, Frances Anderson, all of Danville.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lula Sexton, formerly of Mercer County, and three brothers, Earl, Earvin and Roy “Jack” Jenkins.
Services were conducted Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Stith Funeral Home n Danville with burial in the Hall’s Gap Baptist Church Cemetery
in Lincoln County. The Revs. Ernest Martin, Brent Rowe and Gary Story officiated.
Active pallbearers were: Brian Ruth, Shane Randolph, Donald Sexton, Dale Sexton, Mike Brown and Dan Sullivan.
Honorary Pallbearers were: David Hartford and Brenda Sexton, Jimmy and Margaret Sexton, Butch and Peggy Jenkins and Jeff, Ronnie and Lana McGuffey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church Homebound Funds, Danville; Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery
Fund, Waynesburg; the U.K. Medical Center ALS Association or Heritage Hospice of Danville.
CALLIE ORCUTT
Callie Lucielle Orcutt, 75, of Baughman Avenue, Danville, passed away Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 at her residence.
Born on February 2, 1936 in Perry County, Kentucky to the late Condy and Leura Cook.
Lucille was a former owner of Waynesburg Rest Home, and former owner of H&L Restaurant and a former manager of White Castle in Indiana. She was also a CNA at Danville Centre for Health and Rehab for 16 years and a Kentucky Colonel. She was a dedicated follower of Christ and a member of Danville Church of God.
Callie was preceded in death by her husband Hurston Orcutt, Jr.; brother Kenneth Cook; and a daughter-in-law Renee Orcutt.
Callie leaves behind: three sons, Hurston (Diane) Orcutt of Danville, Terry (Geneva) Orcutt of Brodhead and Ray Orcutt of Danville; one daughter Laura (Holland) Buck of Harrodsburg; one brother, Condy (Nancy) Cook, Jr. of Fort Myers, FL; one sister, Ermadene (Elgie) Padgett of Eubank; a sister in law, Alice Willena Cook of Monroe, OH; eight Grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services for Callie were held Wednesday, April 27, at the Fox Funeral Home, Stanford, with Bro. Nelson Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Olive Cemetery.
Justin Orcutt, Chris Orcutt, Michael Carpenter, Timmy Dowell, Gary Curtis, and Charles Pittman served as pallbearers.
WILMA OSBORNE
Wilma Georgia Cunningham Osborne, age 66, Harrodsburg, died Friday, April 22, 2011 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born July 3, 1944 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of Mattie Pope Cunningham of Harrodsburg & the late Robert Lee Cunningham.
She attended West Side School and graduated from Harrodsburg High School. She was a graduate of Kentucky State University with a Bachelor of Arts in French and minored in English, received a Masters degree in English and an Administrative Certificate in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Illinois at Urbana, and was an educator and administrator in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, California, and Maryland prior to retiring. She was a member of the American Association of School Personnel Administrators, Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a member of the National Jack and Jill Organization where she served as Vice President from 1987-1989 and President from 1989-1991, attended the Shiloh Baptist Church and the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, both in Sacramento, CA. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.
She is survived by two daughters: Lori Osborne of California and Kelli Osborne of Virginia; two sisters: Roberta E. Cunningham of Harrodsburg and Carolyn (Jeffrey) Banks of Maryland; a grandson, Robbie Osborne; a nephew David (Nyedra) Booker.
Funeral services were Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Virgil Hill officiating. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers were: Randall Bartleson, Truman Bartleson Jr., Fred Brown, John Cunningham, James Patton, Jim Pittman, Chris Short and Jesse Thomas.
IRETTA PERKINS
Iretta Mae Perkins, 75, widow of Kenneth Perkins Sr., died Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
Born January 29, 1936 in Scott County, she was daughter of the late John and Clara Sharp Curtis.
She was a member of North Frankfort Baptist Church and was a retired bus driver with Franklin County Schools.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Keith of Versailles and Sheila (Evan) Dunaway of Harrodsburg; three sons: Ronnie Lee (Sharon) Brophy of Frankfort, Teddy (Sheila) Brophy of Frankfort and Timothy Wayne (Angela) Brophy of Lawrenceburg; a brother, Jasper Curtis of Frankfort; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Ray Brophy.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road in Frankfort with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery
in Stamping Ground.
Active pallbearers will be: Larry Suter, Evan Dunaway, Michael Tincher, Johnny Gravitt, Susie Watkins and Ray Thornton.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
GERTRUDE REED
Gertrude Dalton Brown Reed, 93, wife of Clifford G. Reed, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at her residence.
Born on September 4, 1917, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late J. Eli and Gertrude Brown.
She was a 1938 graduate of Centre College and worked with her father at the Mercer County National Bank and became a homemaker after the birth of her daughter. She was a lifelong member of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder, served on the Flower Committee, Memorial Committee, led Children’s Church and was a faithful member of the Kate Riker Circle.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Myra Ann (Lewis) Reed Prewitt of Midway, two granddaughters, Ann (Matt) Lewis Denton and Sarah Elizabeth Prewitt, both of Lexington and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Frances Brown Rue and Sarah Brown Van Arsdale.
Services were conducted Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Andy Wing and Rev. Stephanie Wing officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Andy Harris, Tom Lynn, Patrick Hatchett, David Prewitt, Marc Schlackman, Alan Whitenack, Matt Denton and Tyler Alexanders.
Honorary pallbearers were: current and former members of the Kate Riker Circle, Bobbi Rightmyer, Howard Howells and Harold Davis.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church, 326 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
LINDA RUSSELL
Linda Mae Richards Russell, 62 of Tampa, FL died April 18, 2011.
Born Jan. 1, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Coolidge and Bonnie Traylor Richards.
She is survived by a sister, Brenda (Jim) Sandusky of Windsor; two daughters: Lisa (Jason) Carey of Harrodsburg and Tina (Mike) Moore of Junction City; one son, Christopher Russell of Frankfort and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, April 30 at the W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home with burial in Hustonville Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
LINDA WILLIAMS
Linda Ann Williams, 65, of Richmond, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born December 7, 1945 in Cullman, AL, she was the daughter of Annie Brock Watson and the late Buford Forester.
She was a retired retail clerk and a member of the Whitehall Baptist Church of Richmond.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Rhonda D. Smith of Salvisa; one sister, Mary Milam of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren, Michele Sears, Shandi Ratliff and Joshua Hopkins; three step-grandchildren, Katie Smith, Elizabeth Smith and Ashley Smith and two great-
grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Roger Hopkins.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, April 30 at the Central Baptist Church in Columbus, GA.

HARVEY BEST
Harvey Best, 68, of Springfield, husband of Janice Burns Best, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
A native of Washington County, he was born on Feb. 24, 1943 to the late Hubert and Hallie Lee Coulter Best.
He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and a former employee of the General Electric Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Angela (Mark) McDonald of Salvisa and Charlotte Schroeder of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Marilyn (Carl) Curtsinger of Harrodsburg and Donna (Bobby) Cheser of Springfield; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, April 28 at the Carey and Son Funeral Home, Springfield, with Rev. John McDaniel, former pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Cemetery
Hill, Springfield.
Pallbearers were: Mark McDonald, Hal Keeton, Chad Settles, Harold Mitchell, Levi Burns and Landon Bishop.
