RUBY G. HOOD
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Ruby Gay Hood, 80, former Liberal resident, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002.
She was born Dec. 5, 1921, to Rueben and Florence (Gay) Burrow in Healdton, Okla.
She moved to Scottsdale, Ariz. from Liberal in 1962. She moved to Albuquerque, N.M., in May to live with her daughter.
She was a member of Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa K. Hood, Albuquerque; one son, Robin James Hood Sr., Liberal; one grandson, Robin James and wife, Tanya, Tyrone, Okla.; three great-grandsons, Tucker James Hood, Konner James Hood and Keifer James Hood, all of Tyrone.
Private services are pending.
Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors in Albuquerque is in charge of arrangements.
JUANITA M. WEBB
Juanita Mae Webb, 45, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at IHS Nursing Home in Wichita.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced by Miller Mortuary in Liberal.

MOUNDRIDGE -- Martha Janzen, 90, former Turpin, Okla. area resident, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at Memorial Home in Moundridge.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Moundridge Funeral Home in Moundridge.
WILLIAM WILLIAMSON JR.
CYPRESS, Texas -- William Franklin "Boon" Williamson Jr., 55, former Liberal resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at his residence in Cypress.
He was born July 20, 1947, to William Franklin and Virgie (Case) Williamson in Liberal.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1966.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1979.
He worked as a pipeline consultant for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline.
Survivors include four daughters, Brooke Erin Williamson and Katherine Lynn Williamson, both of Oklahoma City, Haley Paige Hoskinson and Casey Williamson, both of Cypress; one brother, Edward Williamson, Sublette; and one sister, Beverly Warden, Liberal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Edna Karen Riggle.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Balko Cemetery
in Balko, Okla. with the Rev. Joe Day presiding.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal.

ODELL F. ROGERS
Odell F. Rogers, 74, of Liberal, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at his home.
He was born Sept. 16, 1928, to Oscar O. and Lydia A. (Dorough) Rogers in Paris, Ark.
He married El Fleta J. Furnish on Dec. 22, 1949, in Amarillo, Texas. She survives.
He was a U.S. Veteran of WWII, serving in the army. He worked at National Beef Packing for eight years, and later was a driller for Dunman Drilling Company for ten years, retiring in 1988.
His hobbies included bowling, fishing, watching football, playing his guitar, gardening, and spending time with family.
He was a member of the V.F.W. Lane Day Post No. 3166 of Liberal.
Other survivors include five sons, Sandy Rogers and wife, Catherine, Evanston, Wyo, Jerry Rogers, Liberal, Dennis Rogers, Kevin Rogers and wife, Shawna, and Chris Rogers and wife, Julie, Hemet, Calif.; two daughters, Dorinda Griblin, Liberal, and Kimberly Lozar and husband, Kenneth, Ulysses; four brothers, Oren Rogers and wife, Thelma, Wellington, Texas, John Rogers and wife, Pat, Amarillo, Texas, Wiley Rogers and wife, Jill, Amarillo, and Oliver Rogers and wife, Nelda, Gainsville, Texas; four sisters, Hazel Johnson, Oklahoma City, Fern Bell, Commanche, Okla., LaWanna Sullins and husband, Larry, Commanche, Laura Woodruft and husband, David, Elk City, Okla.; 25 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and two sons, Monte Rogers and Stephen Rogers.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Miller Chapel with the Rev. Jim Monroe presiding.
Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, and from 1-8 p.m. Sunday, and from 8 a.m. until service time Monday at Miller Mortuary.

MARGARITO RODRIGUEZ
Margarito "Lucky" Rodriguez, 80, of Liberal, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Southwest Medical Center.
He was born July 7, 1922, to Separino and Ambrosio Lovato Rodriguez in Brilliante, N.M.
He married Gladys Hermit on Sept. 14, 1958, in Las Vegas, Nev. She died July 2, 2000.
He attended Washington school in Liberal, and later in New Mexico.
He worked as a welder at Tradewinds Industries, and later at National Beef, retiring in 1997.
He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include, three sons, David Rodriguez and wife, Lisa, and Danny Rodriguez, all of Liberal, Donnie Rodriguez, Eugene, Ore.; one daughter, Patty Stegman and husband, Mark, Liberal; two step-sons, Jerry Turley and wife, Rose, Garden City, and Bill Setters and wife, Sandy, Texas; three step-daughters, Jo Ann Petrey and husband, Pete Hobbs, N.M., Sharon Hartman and husband, Bob, Lincoln City, Ore., Paula Price and husband, John, Irving, Texas; 24 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters; and one son.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Chapel with the Rev. Rex Petty presiding.
Burial will be at a later date at Liberal Cemetery.
VERTREES C. FRICK
Vertrees C. Frick, 82, of Liberal, died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Wheatridge Park Care Center.
She was born April 4, 1921, to William V. and Harriet (Barry) Cole in Pensacola, Fla.
She married Jacob Frick Jr. on Dec. 22, 1943, in Jacksonville, Fla. He died Nov. 22, 2002.
She served during WWII as a WAC in the U.S. Army Air Force.
She was a retired clerk for the Nebraska State Department of Revenue.
She was a member of First Church of God, and the Senior Center's Rhythm Band.
Survivors include, one daughter, Katherine L. Harvey and husband, Stephen, Liberal; two brothers, William B. Cole, Galveston, Texas, and Ralph E. Cole, Pomona Park, Fla.; two grandsons, Capt. Jonathan L. Harvey and wife, Rosemary, South Korea, and Matthew Harvey, Wichita.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Wuamett; and one grandson, Christopher Harvey.
Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Church of God with the Rev. David Parker presiding.
Cremation has taken place.

WILMA WRIGHT
SEYMOUR, Iowa -- Wilma Wright, 92, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Adel Acres Care Center in Adel, Iowa.
She was born Sept. 30, 1910, to Clark and Sarah Isabell (Murphy) Buck in Putnam County, Miss.
She married Wade B. "Sug" Wright on May 22, 1935. He died in October 1963.
She was operator of Wright Hardware and John Deere Implement Store until 1969.
She was a member of Seymour American Legion Auxiliary, past member of Seymour Community Club, and Iowa Retail Hardware Association.
Her hobbies included cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include, her children, Roberta "Bobbie" Hart and husband, Jack, Liberal, William John Wright and wife, Evelyn, Waukee, Iowa; grandchildren, Pamela McElvain and husband, Kenneth, Liberal, David Hart and wife, Nancy, Liberal, and Brian Hart, Kansas City, Miss.; great-grandchildren, Brad McElvain and wife, Stacey, Kansas City, Christi McElvain, Topeka, Jack T. and Andrea Hart, Liberal, and Bailey, Ian, and Mackenzie Hart, Kansas City; her aunt, Vina Murphy; and numerous other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul Buck and wife, Lucille, and H.C. Simon Buck and wife, Esther (Het); and granddaughter-in-law, Jeanine Hart.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Randolph Funeral Home in Seymour, Iowa, with the Pastor Vickie Steffes presiding.
Burial will be at Southlawn Cemetery
in Seymour.
Friends may call beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at Randolph Funeral Home in Seymour. The family will receive friends from 7-9:30 p.m. Sunday.
