MEADE -- Jake J. Isaac, 86, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at Lone Tree Compassionate Care Center in Meade.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.
MARIO P. CRIVELLO JR.
Mario P. Crivello Jr., 35, died Monday, April 8, 2002, at his home in Liberal.
He was born Nov. 28, 1966, to Mario P. and Eddie (Daniels) Crivello in San Diego.
He was a maintenance worker at National Beef in Liberal.
Services will held in San Diego at a later date.
Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal is in charge of local arrangements.
JAKE J. ISAAC
MEADE -- Jake J. Isaac, 86, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at Lone Tree Compassionate Care Center in Meade.
He was born Feb. 28, 1916, to Jacob F. and Katie (Friesen) Isaac in Meade.
He married Lena D. Harms April 12, 1936, in Meade. She survives.
He had been a lifetime resident of Meade.
He was a retired rural mail carrier.
He was a member of the Emmanuel Mennonite Brethren Church in rural Meade.
Other survivors include three sons, Dean Isaac, Houston, Jerry Isaac, New Bloomfield, Penn., and Gary Isaac, Denver; two daughters, Janet Bartel, Meade, and Lavonne Loewen, Potosi, Mo.; five brothers, Ben J. Isaac, Garden City, George J. Isaac and Abe J. Isaac, both of Meade, Lee Isaac, Hugoton, and Al Isaac, Hillsboro; one sister, Katherine Classen, Meade; 13 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Virgil Ray Isaac in 1983; four brothers, Henry J. Isaac, Pete J. Isaac, Dick J. Isaac and John J. Isaac; and one sister, Margaret Loewen.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church in rural Meade with the Rev. David Cummings presiding.
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery
in Meade.
Friends may call from until 8 p.m. today at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.

BARRY R. CHAFFIN
ULYSSES -- Barry R. Chaffin, 65, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at his home in Ulysses.
He was born July 25, 1936, to Elvis Andrew and Mamie Louise (Weaver) Chaffin in Coalinga, Calif.
He married Maudie Jensen Twilleger Dec. 25, 1982, in Johnson. She survives.
He was a former resident of Syracuse and Johnson. He owned and operated the Top Hat Tavern and Cafe in Johnson until his retirement.
Other survivors include five daughters, Patricia Carrillo, Fort Worth, Texas, Brenda R. Chaffin, Satanta, Lora Michelle Combs, Colorado Springs, Colo., Sandra Post, Manter, and Shannon Morris, Johnson; six step-sons, Dennis Twilleger, Denver, Jerry Twilleger, Dumas, Texas, Randy Twilleger, Canon City, Colo., John Twilleger, Ark City, Bill Twilleger, Ulysses, and Mark Twilleger, Johnson; one step-daughter, Sherry Twilleger, Ulysses; two brothers, Elvis Chaffin Jr., Lucerne, Calif., and Tommy Walsh, National City, Calif.; one sister, Kathleen Linsley, San Diego, Calif.; 33 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Thomas Walsh; his step-mother, Betty Chaffin; and one brother, Patrick Walsh.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses with the Rev. Bill Harrold presiding.
Burial will be at Ulysses Cemetery
in Ulysses.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.

MICHAEL B. EASTON
Michael B. Easton, 55, Liberal, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Miller Mortuary in Liberal.
ARTHUR L. DANNER
HUGOTON -- Arthur L. "Bud" Danner, 72, Hugoton, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Baptist-St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
He was born April 19, 1929, to Arthur Hayden and Goldie Ruth (Gooch) Danner in Gruver, Texas.
He married Robbie Morris Oct. 27, 1951, in Clayton, N.M. She survives.
He moved with his family to Guymon, Okla., in 1937, where he attended school.
He and his wife moved to Amarillo, where he worked for Bausch & Lomb. In 1952, they moved to Dalhart, Texas, where he farmed and ranched with his brother-in-law, Charles Grice.
In 1953, they moved back to Guymon and he worked for Hitch Farms until 1974. He then transferred to Moscow, where he worked until early 1978.
In mid 1978, he went to work on the road crew for Stevens County. He retired from the county in April 1994.
Other survivors include two sons, V. Randy Danner and wife, Laurene, Woodward, Okla., and Tim K. Danner, Hugoton; one brother, Don D. Danner, Amarillo; two sisters, Lu Grice, Dalhart, and Betty Sledge, Guymon; seven grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Hayden Danner; and three sisters, Tootsie Hanus, Lorene Price and Nadine Hackler.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church in Hugoton with the Rev. Terrel Giddens presiding.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Texhoma Cemetery
in Texhoma.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton.

EDRA M. SAVAGE
MEADE -- Edra Mae Savage, 89, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Meade District Hospital in Meade.
She was born Feb. 27, 1913, to Arthur and Theodosha (Wertz) Ringheisen in Springfield, Mo.
She married Russell Frank Savage Dec. 24, 1933, in Sterling. He died Sept. 27, 1978.
She had been a resident of Meade from 1955-1959 and from 1976 to present.
She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Meade.
Survivors include two sons, Denzel Savage, Pueblo, Colo., and Errol Savage, Perryton, Texas; two daughters, Sarlene Stauffer, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Kathren "Katie" Cordes, Meade; one sister, Alma Dean Bauer, Larned; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has already taken place. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Meade with the Rev. Harry Fink presiding.
Burial will be at Sterling Cemetery
at a later date.
Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade is in charge of arrangements.
MICHAEL B. EASTON
Michael B. Easton, 55, Liberal, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
He was born Feb. 13, 1947, to Frank and Ilene (Baker) Easton in Greeley, Colo.
He graduated from Glasgow High school in Glasgow, Mont., and had attended Emporia State University.
He moved to Liberal in 1971.
He began a career in law enforcement in 1971 as weight officer with the Kansas Highway Patrol Motor Carriers Division. He retired in October 1999 because of ill health.
He served in the U.S. Army.
His hobbies included rock hounding and lapidary.
Survivors include his parents, Liberal, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Chapel in Liberal with the Rev. Robert E. Nugen presiding.
Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery
in Liberal with honors by the Kansas Highway Patrol Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, and from 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday.

ELLA L. WHISENNAND
ELKHART -- Ella Louise "Lou" Whisennand, 59, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
She was born March 28, 1943, to Thurmond "Bud" E. and Osa Mae (Tipton) Keever in Dumas, Texas.
She married Joe Whisennand Aug. 14, 1970, in Elkhart. He survives.
She had been a resident of Elkhart since 1970.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both of Elkhart.
Other survivors include one son, Todd Allen Whisennand and wife, Addie, Elkhart; two daughters, Delia "Dee Dee" Abbott and husband, Neil, Seminole, Okla., and Cathy Moore and husband, Robert, Houston; one brother, Douglas Keever, Fairfax, Va.; one sister, Luvella Sue Salmon, Memphis, Texas; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, L.T. Rideout.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Elkhart with the Father Francis Khoi Nguyen presiding.
Burial will be at Elkhart Cemetery
in Elkhart.
