MARIE E. ROTOLO
Marie Ellen Rotolo, 82, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at her home in Liberal.
She was born Nov. 24, 1919, to Charlie M. and Mary Waller in Cullison.
She married Frank Rotolo June 11, 1940, in Raton, N.M. He survives.
She graduated from Cullison High School.
She had lived in Pratt for several years before moving to Pueblo, Colo., for eight years.
She and her husband moved to Liberal in 1948, where she worked at Parkway Grill, Elks Lodge and later at Hood's Chevrolet snack bar. She retired in 1974.
She was a member of Elks Lodge in Liberal.
Other survivors include two sons, Donald Schouten and wife, Kitty, Panama City, Fla., and Frankie Rotolo and wife, Donna, Hugoton; one daughter, Kay Epp and husband, Aaron, Turpin, Okla.; two sisters, Virginia Bridgman and Helen Davis, both of Wichita; grandchildren, Kelly Rotolo and wife, Sally, Shawn Rotolo, Rick Epp, and Tina Call and husband, Doug; and great-grandchildren, Nick and Hannah Rotolo, Landon and Spencer Rotolo-Utz and Blake Edwards.
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Cemetery
in Cullison with the Pastor Eric Mason presiding.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller Mortuary in Liberal.
DONNIE D. WILKERSON
Donnie D. Wilkerson, 49, Wichita, formerly of Liberal, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born June 6, 1952, to Orville L. and Merle J. (Smid) Wilkerson in Liberal.
He attended school in Turpin, Okla., and later attended Liberal Area Vo-Tech, where he was certified in masonry.
He drove a truck for CF Freight for several years.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Wilkerson Knight, USN Santa Catalina Island, Calif.; his mother, of Turpin; two brothers, Jerry Wilkerson and wife, Tonja, Wichita, and Richard Upton and wife, Maggie, Colonial Heights, Va.; and two sisters, Jo Anne Brooks and husband, Jerry, Buffalo, Mo., and Karen May, Wichita.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christian Life Center in Liberal with Brent Broadfoot presiding.
Miller Mortuary in Liberal is in charge of arrangements.
JESUSA Q. SANCHEZ
ULYSSES -- Jesusa "Jessie" Q. Sanchez, 81, Ulysses, formerly of Julesburg, Colo., died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at Bob Wilson Grant County Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
She was born Sept. 14, 1920, to Julian and Vantura (Santiago) Quirova in Uvalde, Texas.
She married Gonzalo Sanchez Sept. 25, 1937, in La Mesa, Texas. he died Jan. 17, 1993.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Gonzalo Q. Sanchez, Sarasota, Fla., Jose Q. Sanchez and Ismael Q. Sanchez, both of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three daughters, Maria Manzano, Ulysses, Annabelle Ortiz, North Platte, Neb., and Elsa Garcia, Donna, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jesus Sanchez.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. (M.S.T.) Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Julesburg with the Father Michael Chamberlain presiding.
Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery
in Julesburg.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Grant County Funeral Home in Ulysses.
REFUGIA ANDRADA
GARDEN CITY -- Refugia Andrada, 78, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
She was born July 4, 1923, to Bernardino and Bernave (Juarez) Guebara in Milano, Texas.
She married Juan Andrada Jan. 22, 1944, in Meadow, Texas. He survives.
She had been a resident of Garden City since 1957, having moved from Meadow.
She was a housewife and homemaker.
She was a member of the Church of God of the First Born, where she participated in church activities.
Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
Other survivors include three sons, Juan Andrada Jr., Hooker, Okla., Lupe Andrada, Liberal, and Sammy Andrada, Austin, Texas; eight daughters, Tonia Rodriguez and Anita Mata, both of Amarillo, Texas, Martha Rincones, Rebecca Cantu, Betty Andrada, and Melda Montanez, all of Garden City, Rosie Rodriguez, Liberal, and Alberta Andrada, Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Juanita Perez, Meadow, and Mary Villa, Fritch, Texas; 35 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Evening services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Church of God of the First Born in Garden City.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of God of the First Born with the Pastor Juan Janas presiding.
Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery
in Garden City.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Church of God of the First Born.

GRACE M. BRANSTINE
Grace M. Branstine, 77, Liberal, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born April 5, 1924, to Hariam and Rosie (Sweeney) Dashoxshy in Nebraska.
She married Charles Branstine Jan. 29, 1945, in Boise City, Okla. He died June 7, 1992.
She attended school in Eads, Colo. She came to Liberal in 1954, having moved from Littleton, Colo.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the South Church of God in Liberal.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Branstine and Donald Branstine, both of Liberal, and Dale Branstine, Nacogdoches, Texas; one daughter, Shirley Branstine, Liberal; three brothers, Bruce Sweeney, Lamar, Mo., Clifford Sweeney, Lamar, Mo., and Clarence Sweeney, Carthage, Mo.; and three sisters, Lena Whaley, Eads, Faye Ransom, Canon City, Colo., and Dorothy Miles, Gillette, Wyo.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one daughter.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Chapel in Liberal with the Rev. David Parker presiding.
Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery
in Liberal.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday.

ROBERTO Z. SALAZAR
SATANTA -- Roberto Z. Salazar, 56, Satanta, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
He was born June 7, 1945, to Natividad and Maria de Jesus (Zubia) Salazar in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.
He married Maria Irma Aguirre Oct. 26, 1972, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua. She survives.
He and his wife moved to the Satanta area in May of 1970 from Mexico.
He was a farm laborer.
He was a member of the Sinai Pentecostal Church in Sublette.
Other survivors include two sons, Natividad Salazar and wife, Teresa, and Juan G. Salazar and wife, Lucia, all of Satanta; two daughters, Balbina Acosta and husband, Arnulfo, Liberal, and Esther Salazar, Satanta; two brothers, Benjamin Salazar, Andrews, Texas, and Felix Salazar,
Satanta; three sisters, Maria Isabel Ramirez, Satanta, Maria Luisa Molina, Ojinaga and Vicky Trevizo, Dallas; six grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sinai Pentecostal Church in Sublette with the Pastor Stil Guerrero presiding.
Burial will be at Dudley Township Cemetery
in Satanta.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Haskell County Funeral Home in Sublette.

BILL D. HEAD
OLATHE -- Bill D. Head, 74, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at his home in Olathe.
He was born Feb. 22, 1927, to Les and Muriel (French) Head in Texas County, Okla.
He married Patsy Holman Nov. 11, 1950, in Childress, Texas. She survives.
He grew up in Alva, Okla., and attended local schools.
He joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Philippines until the end of World War II.
He then worked for an oil exploration company in Childress.
He and his wife moved to Amarillo, Texas, and Lubbock, Texas, where he worked for a heating and air conditioning company.
They moved to Liberal, where he owned and operated Ace Refrigeration Company. He retired in 1960, and he and his wife moved to Olathe in November 2001.
Other survivors include one son, Jeff Head, Manhattan; one daughter, Dee Ann Head, Olathe; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Terry Head, on Feb. 2, 2002; one brother; and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Marin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home in Abilene.
Burial will be at Abilene Cemetery
in Abilene.
