TONY E. BROADFOOT
WICHITA -- Tony E. Broadfoot, 46, a former Liberal resident, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, in Wichita.
He was born April 15, 1954, to Karl D. and Madeline R. (Pifer) Broadfoot in Liberal.
He married Jenni Meek Nov. 22, 1980, in Great Bend.
He grew up in Liberal and graduated from Liberal High School in 1972.
He worked in the oil field for many years. He moved to Wichita in 1985, where he worked as a clothing salesperson. Prior to his death, he was working as a maintenance person for a local nursing home.
He was a member of the Hope Community Church in Andover.
Survivors include his parents, of Liberal; two sons, Tim Broadfoot and Kenny Broadfoot, both of Wichita; one daughter, Tiffany Broadfoot, Wichita; one brother, Tim Broadfoot and wife, Cindy, Liberal; one sister, Karla Bartel and husband, Audie, Turpin, Okla.; grandmother, Laura Pifer, Liberal; and nieces and nephews, Ryan Broadfoot, Leanna Broadfoot, Colton Bartel and Quinton Bartel.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hope Community Church in Andover with the Pastor Steve Weldon presiding.
Additional memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Liberal with the Rev. Keith Bryant presiding.
Cremation has already taken place.

ETHAN J. GRACEY
HUGOTON -- Ethan J. Gracey, 84, of Hugoton, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at Tanglewood Oaks Guest House in Fort Worth, Texas.
He was born June 30, 1916, to Lawrence L. and Grace (Swander) Gracey in Ellis County, Okla.
He married Vernona M. Howe May 10, 1941, in Buffalo, Okla. She died Feb. 10, 1994.
He served in the U.S. Airforce during World War II.
He and his wife moved from Woodward, Okla., to Hugoton in 1947.
He was employed by Northern Natural Gas Company and had worked as a plumber for several years in Hugoton.
He was a member of the First Church of God in Hugoton and the Hugoton VFW. He was a past member of the Kiwanis Club in Hugoton.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Flummerfelt, Fort Worth; one sister, Florence Carter, Bozeman, Mont.; and two grandchildren, Jill Flummerfelt, Tulsa, Okla., and Joni Hill, Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God in Hugoton with the Pastors Bill Vincent and Joe Downs presiding.
Military Graveside services will be conducted by VETS Group with burial in the Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton.

ADONILIA RICE
Adonilia Rice, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced by Miller Mortuary.
VIVAN B. KOEHN
MONTEZUMA -- Vivan B. Koehn, 91, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at Bethel Home Inc., in Montezuma.
He was born March 12, 1909, to Ben and Ida (Unruh) Koehn in Galva.
He married Effie Loucks March 12, 1933, in Copeland. She survives.
He moved from Galva to the Copeland area in 1933, where he was a farmer. He had been a resident at Bethel Home Inc., in Montezuma for almost four years.
He was a member of the Homeland Mennonite Church, and a past member of the Salem Mennonite Church, both of Copeland.
Other survivors include four sons, Lee Roy Koehn and wife, Neva, El Campo, Texas, Weldon Koehn and wife, Katie, Greeley, Colo., Alton Koehn and wife, Judy, Detroit, Texas, and Willard Koehn and wife, Diane, Flagstaff, Ariz.; two daughters, Elva Koehn and husband, Bob, Ulysses, and Margaret Regehr and husband, John, Post Falls, Idaho; one brother, Edwin Koehn and wife, Susie, Moundridge; one sister, Della Koehn, Moundridge; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eugene Koehn; five brothers, Pete, John, Tobe, Dan and Jonas Koehn; three sisters, Mary Koehn, Alice Decker and Susie Unruh.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. at the Salem Mennonite Church in Copeland, with Ministers Sam Unruh Jr. and Luther Smith presiding.
Burial will be at the Salem Mennonite Cemetery
in Copeland.
Friends may call until 4 p.m. today at the Montezuma Funeral Home in Montezuma.

ELSIE DELIA RATZLAFF
SCOTT CITY -- Elsie Delia Ratzlaff, 82, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Bethel Home Inc., in Montezuma.
She was born Aug. 2, 1918, to Albert and Marie (Shultz) Dirks in Durham.
She married Herman B. Ratzlaff July 11, 1935, in Syracuse. He died March 23, 2000.
She moved from Fredonia to Scott County in 1943. She had been a resident of Bethel Home Inc., since 1994.
She was a homemaker and had worked as a nurses aide.
Her hobbies included cooking, making afghans, fishing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include eight sons, Chester A. Ratzlaff and wife, Freda, Virgil D. Ratzlaff and Galen Ratzlaff, all of Scott City, Garry W. Ratzlaff, Garden City, Delbert Ratzlaff, and Dr. Leonard Ratzlaff, both of Tulsa, Okla., Milford Ratzlaff, Lafayette, Colo., and Mike Ratzlaff and wife, Rose, Russellville, Ark.; three daughters, Virginia F. Koehn and husband, Errol, Montezuma, Joyce Koehn and husband, Manford, Garden City, and and Glenda Ryan and husband, Terry, Scott City; five brothers, Marvin Dirks and wife, Lucille, Albert Dirks Jr. and wife, Donna, Howard Dirks and wife, Lou, and Maurice Dirks and wife, Joann, all of Scott City; four sisters, Norma Unruh and husband, Curtis, Galva, Elizabeth Koehn and husband, Harvey, McPherson, Lillian Schroeder and husband, C.A., and Willetta Payne and husband, Ralph, all of Scott City; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Merrill, Gerald and Melvin; two brothers, Jesse and Abe Dirks; and two grandsons, Bradley Koehn and Toby Ratzlaff.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Scott Mennonite Church in Scott City, with Minister Richard Koehn presiding.
Burial will be at the Scott County Cemetery
in Scott City.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday, at the Montezuma Funeral Home in Montezuma.

DEVIN R. PARKS
Devin Ryanne Parks, 4 months, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born Oct. 2, 2000, to Carey Max Durbin and Amber Kathleen Parks in Liberal.
Survivors include her parents of Liberal; grandparents, Connie and Bill Lewis, Liberal, Randy Parks, Liberal, and Larry and Mickey Durbin, Englewood, Colo.; three aunts, Ashley Nicole Parks, Denver, Stephanie Dawn Durbin and Kara Rose Lewis, both of Liberal; one uncle, Stephen Daniel Lewis, Liberal; great-grandparents, Lawrence R. Miller, and Roy and Wilma Coghill, all of Ulysses, Roberta Durbin and Margaret Lewis, both of Liberal; great-great-grandparents, Lester and Vera Bullock, Ulysses; and numerous great-aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church with the Revs. David Bagwell and Steve Saville presiding.
Burial will follow at the Liberal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal.

ADONILIA RICE
Adonilia Rice, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born Aug. 19, 1925, to Pablo and Inasita (Tapa) Arguello in Albert, N.M.
She married Arthur S. Rice in 1962 in Guymon, Okla. He died Jan. 2, 1979.
She had been a resident of Liberal for more than 40 years.
She was a seamstress and was a chef at the Liberal Country Club for many years. She also operated a child day care for many years.
Her hobbies included arts and crafts.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal and the Alter Society. She headed the church dinners for many years.
She was also a Girl Scout leader.
Survivors include one son, David Rice and wife, Lori, Liberal; one sister, Lola Arguello, Roy, N.M.; and three grandsons, Shaun Rice, Stanley Rice and Scott Rice, all of Liberal.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; three sisters; and a daughter, Darla, in 1982.
Welcoming of the Body will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal, with Rosary at 7 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 7:30 p.m. The Father Henry Hildebrandt will preside over the services.
Prayer and Scripture Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Liberal.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Mortuary in Liberal, and from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
DONALD L. MURRAY
Donald L. "Grumpy" Murray, 71, of Liberal, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Via Christi St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
He was born Dec. 16, 1929, to Roy L. and Grace L. (Baker) Murray in Davenport, Okla.
He married Nancy Ward in December of 1955 in Davenport. She died in December of 1961.
He married Verna Wheat in September of 1965.
He married Mary Lee Crosier Andrews May 2, 1977, in Liberal. She survives.
He farmed for several years and served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean Conflict.
He worked as a truck driver at KNOT Oil Company, and later was a driller in the oil field.
He moved to Liberal in 1957, where he owned and operated Don's Truck Service from 1972-1988. Later, he was employed by National Beef Packing and was a machinist at Myriad Machine.
He was a member of the All Nations Pentecostal Church in Liberal.
Other survivors include two sons, Michael Ward, Finley, Okla., and Donnie Murray and wife, Chrystal, Turpin, Okla.; two daughters, Debbie Shields and husband, Rick, Locus Grove, Ga., and Lora Murray, of the home; six step-sons, Kenny Andrews and wife, Fran, Liberal, Danny Andrews and wife, Cathy, Junction City, Mike Andrews, Garden City, Rick Stephens and wife, Michelle, Bud Stephens and wife, Theresa, and Randy Stephens and wife, Kristina, all of Pratt; two step-daughters, Barbara Manning and husband, Jim, and Connie Jennings and husband, Lee, all of Liberal; two brothers, David Murray and wife, Nancy, Ash Grove, Mo., and Ronnie Murray and wife, Carole, Chandler, Okla.; three sisters, Billie Bowman and husband, Carl, Judy Nees and husband, Odie, all of Bristol, Okla., and Faye McGee and husband, Max, Okemah, Okla.; 31 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the All Nations Pentecostal Church in Liberal with the Rev. Jimmy Holman presiding.
Burial with military honors by the Fort Riley Honor Guard will be at the Liberal Cemetery
in Liberal.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 8-11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Mortuary in Liberal. The casket will not be open at the church.
