GLADYS M. DRUMMOND
Gladys M. Drummond, 70, died Saturday, June 10, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, following an extended illness.
She was born June 27, 1929, to Ira A. and Lula B. (Bertsch) Drummond in Dennis.
She graduated from Parsons High School in 1949. She worked a short time at Reliance Manufacturing Co. in Cherryvale.
She moved to Liberal in 1949 where she was employed at the Seward County ASCS Office for many years, retiring in 1985. She was also a bookkeeper for her brother-in-law Ronald Easley, and later for her nephew, Jerry Easley, at the Easley Body Shop. She was also a bookkeeper for the Eden Van Lines and High Plains Pest Control after retirement.
She was a member of the South Church of God, Liberal.
Throughout her lifetime, she travelled extensively in the United States and in Europe.
She is survived by four brothers, Roy Drummond, Dennis, John Drummond, Chanute, Glenn Drummond, Chilicothe, Mo., and Frank Drummond, Parsons; two sisters, Pearl Shields, Parsons, and Alice Easley, Liberal; and twenty-one nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the South Church of God with the Rev. Roger Williams presiding.
Additional funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Carson Wall Funeral Chapel, Parsons.
Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Dennis.
Friends may call at the Miller Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

MARY AGNES DUNN
PLAINS -- Mary Agnes Dunn, 82, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at the Meade District Hospital in Meade.
She was born Jan. 4, 1918, to Clarence M. and Mamie Elizabeth (Burns) Dunn in Plains.
She was a lifetime resident of Plains, a homemaker and a retired cashier from the family grocery store.
She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Altar Society, all of Plains, and a former organist of the church.
Survivors include one sister-in-law, Irene Dunn, Plains; two nephews, Gary Dunn, Plains, and Ronald Dunn, Tulsa, Okla.; and one niece, Mary Lynne Bryant, Copeland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John M. "Darby" Dunn.
A vigil service was held Sunday at Fidler-Orme Mortuary Chapel, Meade. Mass was held today at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Plains, with the Rev. Gerald Hammeke presiding. Burial followed at the Plains Cemetery, Plains.

YOLANDA LUJAN
MONTEZUMA -- Yolanda Lujan, 41, died Saturday, June 10, 2000, in an automobile accident in rural Montezuma.
She was born Jan. 16, 1959, to Jesus Manuel and Enriqueta (Lopez) Soliz in Conia Alvaro Obregon, Mexico.
She married Octavio Lujan in 1980 in Mexico. He survives.
She moved to Montezuma in 1988.
She was a Certified Nurses Assistant, working for Bethel Home and a home health agency.
She was a member of the Homeland Mennonite Church, Montezuma.
Other survivors include her mother; two daughters, Nancy Lujan and Cinthia Lujan, both of Montezuma; nine brothers, Humberto Soliz, Garden City, Javier Soliz, Mexico, Arturo Soliz, Mexico, Alfredo Soliz, Kelleen, Texas, Ramon Soliz, Atlanta, Dimas Soliz, Atlanta, Eduardo Soliz, Mexico, Rafael Soliz, Atlanta, and Eloy Soliz, Atlanta; three sisters, Elena Soliz, Mexico, Leticia Soliz, Mexico, and Karla Soliz, Mexico; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Homeland Mennonite Church, Montezuma, with the Revs. Sherril Esau, Richard Koehn, Lynn Toews and Keith Ensz presiding. Additional services will be held in Mexico.
Friends may call until 7 p.m. today at the Montezuma Funeral Home, Montezuma.

RAFAEL SANCHEZ
Rafael Sanchez, 40, died June 11, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
He was born July 25, 1959, to Rodoigo and Aurora Robles Sanchez in Zacatecas, Mexico.
He married Maunela Raigoza Sept. 19, 1987. She survives.
He had been a resident of Liberal for the past six years.
Other survivors include his mother; one son, Rafael Sanchez, Liberal; one daughter, Valeria Sanchez, Liberal; and six brothers and four sisters.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at Kitch Funeral Home.
Funeral mass will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Deacon Erasmo presiding. Burial will be at a later date at El Refugio Cemetery
in Monte Escobedo, Mexico.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. tonight and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Kitch Funeral Home.
SYLVIA B. TICE
Sylvia B. Tice, 91, died Saturday, June 10, 2000, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.
She was born Oct. 18, 1908, to Clarence Elmer and Fannie Agnes (Wakefield) Delano in Sedgwick.
She married Desley M. "Deck" Tice Aug. 3, 1930, in Balko, Okla. He died Oct. 18, 1999.
She moved to Beaver County, Okla. in 1918 with her parents and attended school at the Bethany Grade School.
She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in Beaver County until retiring and moving to Liberal in 1971. She and her husband moved to Wheatridge Park Care Center in 1995.
She was a member of the Western Avenue Church of Christ in Liberal.
Survivors include one son, Cecil M. Tice and wife, Wanda, Broomfield, Colo.; one sister, Belva Smith, Perryton, Texas; and two grandchildren, Mark Tice, Broomfield, and Lisa Tice, Longmont, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Betty Mae; and two brothers, Carl and Lester Delano.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Western Avenue Church of Christ. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Balko.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Mortuary.
LAVON KOKSAL
ELKHART -- Lavon Koksal, 76, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
She was born June 18, 1923, to Alvin and Jessie (Hill) Jones in Texhoma, Okla.
She married John Koksal Feb. 15, 1942, in Lakin. He survives.
She was a resident of Elkhart since 1958 and worked as a beautician.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Department of the Aging and Point Rock Camper Club, all of Elkhart.
She was also a member of the Industrial Club and Rebecca Lodge, of Texhoma.
Other survivors include two daughters, Charlene Faye Koksal, Elkhart, and Christine Dian Farrington and husband, Danny, Blackwell, Okla.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church, Elkhart, with the Rev. Ron Wilson presiding. Burial will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery, Elkhart.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. tonight at Harrell Funeral Home, Elkhart.
EVA MAE WILLIAMS
Eva Mae Williams, 71, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born March 7, 1929, to Alfred and Ora (Daniel) Bullock in Arkadelphia, Ark.
She married B.D. Williams Feb. 3, 1947, in Arkadelphia. He survives.
She attended Peake High School, Arkadelphia.
She lived in California before moving to Wichita in 1960. She came to Liberal in 1972.
She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She also assisted her husband in the church ministry.
She was a member of the Bibleway Church of God in Christ. She was also a pastor's aide, served on the Mother's board, and was an evangelistic missionary.
Other survivors include three sons, Bernard Williams, Arkadelphia, Venson Williams, Tyler, Texas, and Jeffery Williams, Liberal; six daughters, Brenda Williams-Evans, Tyler, and Karen Davis, Tyler, Marie McKesson, Wichita, Pamela Cotledge, Liberal, Jessie Ponder, Liberal, and Erica Rider, Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Jack Bullock, Arkadelphia, and Joe Ed Bullock, San Francisco; two sisters, Vertie Yarber, Arkadelphia, and Vera McCoullough, Denver; 35 grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, one son, Jacob; and one grandson, Cory Witherspoon.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Bibleway Church of God in Christ, Liberal, with Bishop J.C. Gilkey presiding. Burial will follow at the Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8-10 a.m. Friday at the Miller Mortuary.
