Scott, Richard Davis, age 98, died Jan. 28, 2005. He was supervisor for Panhandle Pipeline and Michigan-Wisconsin Pipeline Company. Graveside services were held Feb. 2 at the Fredonia City Cemetery

Barker, Jr., Richard “Rick” H., age 54, died Jan. 25, 2005. He was owner and operator of State Termite Control for over 30 years. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Webb & Rodrick Chapel. Memorial services were held Feb. 1 at the Penwell-Gabel Webb Rodrick Chapel with burial at the Mount Hope Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Susan, 2 daughters, 1 brother, 2 sisters.

Shepard, Larry L., age 56, of Mound Valley, died Jan. 26, 2005. He had worked for the State of Kansas in the highway department. Cremation has taken place.
