Services for Roy B. Fox, who died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, were held Saturday, Feb. 19, at the First United Methodist Church in South Haven. Pastor Tony Horsley officiated.
Musical selections were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Bountiful Harvest." Soloist was Mike Gracy.
Organist was Lela Huddleston.
Ushers were Harold Rinehart and Eldon Gracy.
Casketbearers were Gary Theurer, Richard Theurer, Richard Byers, Dale Byers, Tom Mitchell and Matt Moreland.
Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery
at South Haven.
Frank Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Millicent C. Stiles
CALDWELL - Millicent C. Stiles, 86, of Caldwell, retired co-owner and editor of Caldwell Messenger, died Monday.
Graveside services - Were held today at Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo, Kan.
Survivors - Brother, Dr. C. Merrill Stiles of Houston, Texas; sister Floy Sutcliffe of Quinton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

HUTCHINSON - Arthur F. Long, 78, of Hutchinson, formerly of Wellington, retired owner of Long's of Hutchinson, Inc., died Saturday.
Memorial services - Were held today, First Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson. Private family graveside - Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors - Wife, Phyllis Lorrine (Erhard) Long, of Hutchinson; sons, Gaylord of McPherson and William D. of Hutchinson; daughter, Nancy Long of The Woodlands, Texas; brothers, Glenn of Salina and Everett Paul of Topeka; sister, Mildred Winchell of Wellington; and 11 grandchildren.

Dorothy Jean Ogden
FREDONIA -- Dorothy Jean Ogden, 67, Fredonia, shipping clerk at Kansas Bank Note Co., died Friday. Survivors -- Son, Russell Ogden, Fredonia; daughters, Jean Johnson, Virginia Beach, Va. and WendyBarton, Fredonia; brothers, Charles Romine, Wellington, and Harold Romine Jr., Independence; sisters, Shirley Hosier, Independence and Patty Vohs, Wellington; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held today, Fredonia City Cemetery.

Mary E. Burger
Mary Elizabeth Burger, 82, of Wellington, homemaker and day care provider, died early Thursday afternoon, January 2, 2003 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington.
She was born the daughter of John Andres and Mary (Weaver) Andres on August 14, 1920 in Kansas City, Mo. Marty grew up in Independence, Mo., and Montgomery County, Kan.
Mary met Jonathan H. Burger when she worked in the ammunition factory in Parsons, Kansas. They were united in marriage on September 20, 1943 in Wellington, Kansas. He died in March of 1999.
While being a homemaker and mother, Mary also provided wonderful quality day care and love for many children.
Mary was a fifty year member of the First Christian Church of Wellington, and a fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She served on the Rainbow Girls advisory council, and was Past President of Beauceants.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Jerry Lee Burger, brothers, Roy Andres, Johnny Andres and Gene Andres and sisters, Louise Andres and Etta Andres.
Survivors include her son James Burger and his wife Juanita of Wichita; daughters, Better Connor and her husband Kevin of Chandler, Okla. and Dalene Oelke and her husband Dennis of Hoxie, Kan.; grandchildren, Kevin Connor and his fiancee Jennifer Bailey of Norman, Okla., Clancy Connor of Oklahoma City, Okla., Donald Burger and his wife Traci of Wichita, Rebekah Harbison of Wellington, Richard Burger and his wife Shannon of Wellington, Christina Lane and her husband Mark of Grand Rapids, Mich., Joy Burger of San Luis Obispo, Calif., Brent Oelke of Hays, Darren Oelke of Hoxie and Troy Oelke of Hoxie; sister, Alice Campbell of Galveston, Texas; thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mary will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2003 at the First Christian Church, Wellington. Pastor Sallie Shore will officiate. Interment will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington.
Friends may call at Day Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, and from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5.

Services for Richard Earl Hinshaw, who died Friday, March 31, 2000, were held Tuesday, April 4, at the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Larry Stewart officiated.
Dan Jones sang "The Lord's Prayer." Organist was Donnis Whaley.
Special musical selection was "It's a Wonderful World."
Ushers were Greg Renn, Chad Renn and LeRoy Klima.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Janet D. Northbrook, 62, furniture salesperson, of Scottsdale, formerly of Wellington, Kan., died Oct. 9, 2000.
Services - Will be held at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery
in San Rafael, Calif., at a later date.
Survivors - Husband, Jerry; sons, Evan, of Scottsdale and Eric; mother, Hazel Chisholm of San Rafael; brother, Rod; sisters, Joyce and Christine; and one grandson.

Jesse Drew Frieouf
Jesse Drew Frieouf, 22, Medford, Okla., Jack Bowker Ford Auto Technician/Farmer, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003 in Ponca City, Okla. He was born on April 28, 1981 in Wellington, Kan.
Survivors include his parents, Sheina Frieouf of Medford, Okla. and Rod Frieouf of Wakita, Okla.; grandparents, Harry and June Frieouf of Medford, Okla., Bill and Betty Hignite of Enid, Okla.; brothers, Clif Frieouf of Medford, Okla., Cory Frieouf of Medford, Okla. and one sister, Tracy Cochran of Medford, Okla.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2003 at the Elliott-Schaeffer Mortuary Chapel in Caldwell, Kan. Reverend Bob Smith will officiate. Interment will be at the Braman Cemetery
in Braman, Okla.
Visitation will on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Frances A. Riggs
Frances A. Riggs, 96, of Winfield, died Nov. 30, 2003 at William Newton Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 30, 1917 in Winfield to Frank R. and Iola B. (Mead) Wagner. She was raised and educated in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1935.
She married Howard C. Riggs, Nov. 30, 1941, in Winfield. He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1991.
She was a homemaker most of her life. She began working for USD 465 in 1966. She became a Food Service Director for USD 465 in 1968 and worked in that position until her retirement in 1992.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Winfield.
She is survived by one son, Tom and wife Kathy of Wellington, daughters Patricia and husband Norman Adams of Estes Park, Colo., Diane and husband Wayne Steadham of Winfield, sister Doris Hunnicutt of Point Blank, Texas, grandchildren Karen Adams, Jennifer Adams, Nicole Riggs and Jill Riggs.
She is preceded in death by her husband, brothers Parker and Joe Wagner, sister Cleda Mooney.
Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Winfield.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Swisher-Taylor Morris.
Internment will be in Highland Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church in Winfield.

Carolyn J. Kessinger Hicks
Services were held for Carolyn J. Kessinger Hicks at Prairie Lawn Cemetery
in Wellington on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 at 10 a.m. Pastor Andy Torres of the United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine officiated.
Hicks was born on Jan. 18, 1923 in Wellington and died Nov. 12, in Fort Myers, Fla.
Shannon Gallagher recited a reading. Jack and Shannon Gallagher presented brief memories of Carolyn.
Musical selections "Amazing Grace," "In the Garden," "Just a Closer Walk with Thee," and "Let the Mystery Be" were heard. Heather Ramsey played clarinet.
A memorial fund was established with Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Fla.
Frank Funeral Home was entrusted with local arrangements.
