Helen Marie Stauth
ST. JOHN - Helen Marie Stauth, 84, died April 5, 2002, at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend. She was born Sept. 15, 1917. A St. John resident since 1953, moving from Greensburg, she was a homemaker.
Funeral service was Monday at Minnis Chapel, St. John. Burial was in Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John.
Survivors incude: husband, George; a daughter, Patty Cravens, Yukon, Okla.; and a sister, Effie L. Couch, Greensburg.
Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, St. John, or a charity of the donor's choice, both in care of the funeral home.
Hugh Kilgore
HOOKER, Okla. - Hugh Kilgore, 97, died Aug. 6, 2002, at Good Samaritan Center, Liberal. He was born May 17, 1905. A Hooker, Okla., resident since 1932, he was a farmer and worked road maintenance for Texas County, Okla.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Hooker. Interment will be in Hooker Cemetery.
Survivors include: a son, H.A. Kelly, Hooker; and two daughters, Earline Scott, St. John, and Joyce Fowler, Elkhart.
Memorials may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice, in care of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Hooker.
LeRoy E. 'Slim' Larson
LeRoy E. "Slim" Larson, 65, died Dec. 16, 2002, at his home in Pratt. He was born Sept. 10, 1937. A 22 year resident of Haven, before moving to Pratt 11 years ago, he was a parts deliveryman and territory salesman for Southwest Truck Parts and a former car salesman for the former Jeff O'Neal Ford.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
Survivors include: a son, LeRoy E. Larson II, Blanchard, Okla.; four daughters, Ramona Larson, Hutchinson, Carol Shoemaker and Linda Kimball, both of Heath, Ohio, and Robin Dullon, Concordia; stepchildren, Mark LaForce and Julie Randall, both of Hutchinson; his mother, Helen Larson, Britton, S.D.; three brothers, Glenn, Watertown, S.D., Harold, Aberdeen, S.D., and Bruce, Andover, Minn.; six sisters, Evangeline Vold and Lorraine Knudson, both of Kidder, S.D., Rosella Hinman, Lake City, S.D., Salina Thorson, Britton, S.D., Patty Jacobson, Forman, N.D., and Betty Huffman, Lake View, Iowa.
Memorials may be sent to the LeRoy Larson Memorial Fund in care of the mortuary.
Harold E. 'Ed' Morse
Harold E. "Ed" Morse, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior Feb. 17, 2003, at Pratt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pratt Friends Church, with Pastors Donald Mutton and Jim Avery presiding. Friends may call from 1:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m., at Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at East Side Cemetery, Hutchinson.
He was born Oct. 29, 1930, at Hutchinson, the son of Harold and Ruby Arndt Morse. He was a master plumber. He was a member of the National Plumber and Fitters Union, Pratt Friends Church and Pratt Kiwanis Club.
On Jan. 7, 1950, he married Joan Avery. She survives, at Pratt.
Other survivors include: three sons, Eddie and his wife Barbara, Salina, Danny and his wife Anita, Marysville, Tenn., and Scott and his wife Tami, Pratt; a daughter, Louise Godsey and her husband Dan, Salina; a brother, Jerry and his wife Alice, Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Beverly and her husband Jim Baker, Cumberland, Md., and Beryl Veydt, Pittsburgh, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Bill L. Bradley
MEDICINE LODGE - Bill L. Bradley, 78, died March 30, 2003, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, with Pastor Tom Walters presiding. Military honors will be provided by the Fort Riley Color Guard. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Larrison-Forsyth Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge.
He was born April 4, 1924, at Bluff City, the son of Sheridan N. and Lettie McClellan Bradley. A Medicine Lodge resident since the early 1950s, coming from Bluff City and Anthony, he owned and operated the Covered Wagon Supper Club, Medicine Lodge, and was a driver for numerous trucking companies.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the VFW. He participated in the Medicine Lodge Peace Treaty Pageant in the oxen cart and later in the covered wagon scene.
On May 21, 1947, he married Marjorie Jelinek at Bluff City. She died Jan. 20, 1995.
Survivors include: two sons, Steven, Medicine Lodge, and Bryan and his wife Maria, Mineola, N.Y.; a daughter, Susan Ricke and her husband Jerome, Medicine Lodge; grandchildren, Angela Ricke, Overland Park, Justin Ricke and his wife Hollie, Wichita; Bill Bradley and Miranda Bradley, both of Mineola, N.Y.; and two sisters, JoAnn Robertson and Bernice Huddleston, both of Anthony.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one infant sister.
Memorials may be sent to American Lung Association, First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, or the Barber County Veterans Memorial Wall, all in care of the funeral home.
Elizabeth Lee Steinert
Elizabeth Lee Steinert, 54, died June 23, 2003, at her home in Pratt.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Larrison Mortuary, with the Rev. Henry Niermann presiding. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the mortuary. The casket will remain closed.
She was born May 1, 1949, at Pratt, the daughter of Thomas Allen Webb Sr. and Wilma Lynn Schnelle Webb. A lifetime resident of Pratt, she was a registered nurse at Hays Medical Center, working on the surgical floor. She was a member of Our Savior LutheranChurch and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
On July 25, 1968, she married Dennis A. Steinert at Pratt. He survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Elissa Beth Steinert, Lubbock, Texas; two sons, K. Ian Steinert, Pratt, and Aaron M. Steinert, Lawrence; two brothers, Thomas Allen Webb Jr., Hays, and Eldon Webb, Pratt; and two sisters, Sarah Steinert, Canby, Ore., and Lisa Freund, Logan, Utah.
Memorials may be sent to American Cancer Society or South Wind Hospice, both in care of the mortuary.
Sid Brooks
MEDICINE LODGE - Sid Brooks, 47, died Aug. 3, 2003, at his home in Medicine Lodge. He was born March 7, 1956. A lifetime resident of Medicine Lodge, he had been a custodian at Medicine Lodge High School for eight years.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Larrison-Forsyth Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
Survivors include: a daughter, Josie Winchell, Burlington, Okla.; a son, Josh Brooks, Medicine Lodge; mother, Phyllis Brooks, Medicine Lodge; and a brother, Winston Brooks, Wichita.
Memorials may be sent to the Sid Brooks Memorial Fund or the American Heart Association, both in care of the funeral home.
Pearl Elizabeth Scott
CIMARRON - Pearl Elizabeth Scott, 85, died Oct. 1, 2003, at her home. She was born Dec. 28, 1917, near Cimarron. A lifetime Cimarron area resident, she was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, starting in 1945 and retiring in 1991.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Valleyview Bible Church, Cimarron. Friends may call from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron. Private family interment will take place at a later date in Cimarron Cemetery.
Survivors include: a son, Richard Scott, Cimarron; two daughters, Phyllis Gleason, Manhattan, and Marilyn Grauerholz, Cimarron; and two sisters, Ella Mae Julian, St. John, and Gladys Scott, Cimarron.

Freeman W. Reschke
Aug. 29, 1910 - Sept. 22, 1999
LA PORTE, Texas - Freeman W. Reschke, 89, died Sept. 22,1999, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, Houston, Texas.
He was born Aug. 29, 1910, at Pratt, the son of Louis and Ethel (Freeman) Reschke. A La Porte a resident, he was a farmer/rancher and owner of Reschke's S and R Mercantile store for more than 30 years.
He belonged to First Methodist Church, where he was a past board member, was past president of the Chamber of Commerce, belonged to the
Methodist Men's Club and the Lions Club, all at Springfield, Colo., and belonged to local square-dance clubs and La Porte Senior Citizens. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
In October 1931, he married Margaret Louise Shaw. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: a son, Millard, Shoreacres, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Graveside service, with military rights conferred by the Fort Riley Honor Guard, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, with the Rev. Rendal Utt presiding.
Larrison Mortuary, Pratt, is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy B. Krier
July 6, 1923-Nov. 22, 1999
GREAT BEND - Dorothy Barbara Krier, 76, died Nov. 22, 1999, at Eureka Springs, Ark.
She was born July 6, 1923, at Beaver, the daughter of John Lucas and Isabella Grecella Frenzel Birzer. She graduated frorn St. Joseph's Catholic School, Ellinwood. A Eureka Springs, Ark., resident for four years, formerly of Great Bend and WaKeeney, she was a housewife.
She belonged to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Daughters of Isabella, all at Great Bend.
On June 9, 1943, she married Leonard Antone Krier at San Rafael, Calif. He died March 21, 1979.
Survivors include: a son, Allan, Holiday Island, Ark.; a daughter, DiAnn Comstock, Holiday Island, Ark.; a brother, Lawrence Biczer, Ellinwood; four sisters, Urs Penka, Pratt, Florence Parsons, St. Louis,Mo., Gerry Westfall, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Marguerite Birzer, Wichita; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Altar Society rosary will be at 4 p.m. Thursday with a vigil service at 6 p.m., both at Fryberger Mortuary, Great Bend. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Great Bend, with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Great Bend Cemetery.

Ruth Alice Seller
WICHITA - Ruth Alice Seller, 92, died June 9. A Wichita resident, formerly of of Haviland, she was a homemaker.
A memorial service was held Monday morning at University Friends Church, Wichita. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Farm Ridge Cemetery, Sycamore, under the direction of Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita.
Survivors include: a son, Charles, Tempe, Ariz.
