DENVER, Colo. — Monique Zoller, 46, died March 9 at Las Vegas, Nev. She was born May 6, 1957, in Denver, the daughter of Marianne Gear Zoller and the late Henry E. Zoller III.
Survivors include her mother; three brothers, Henry E. Zoller IV of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Jeffrey R. Zoller of Hoisington and Todd A. Zoller of Centennial, Colo.; and one sister, Michelle Z. Nocera of Long Beach, Calif.
Graveside services were conducted March 24 at Fairmount cemetery in Denver. Memorials are suggested to Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec St., Denver, CO 80231.

James E. ‘Jim’ Miller 1939-2004
LYONS — James E. “Jim” Miller, 64, died March 22 at Lyons District Hospital in Lyons. He was born Nov. 3, 1939, at Lyons, the son of James L. and Frances M. Wheeler Miller. He was a 1957 graduate of Chase High School. He married
Norma A. Robl Nov. 30, 1957, at Chase. A resident of Lyons since 1959, coming from Chase, he was a 23-year operator maintenance technician for Northern Natural Gas of Lyons and Rice County fire chief for 28 years.
Miller was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, a former church committee member, Lyons Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Citizen of the Year in 1985, State Fire Fighters Association and a 36-year member of Lyons Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife of the home, four sons, Rick Miller of Lyons, David Miller of Houston, Texas, Mike Miller of Salina and Jeff Miller of Hutchinson; one daughter, Diane Moor of Lyons; one brother, Jerry Miller of Abilene; and 13 grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church in Lyons. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Thomas Leland officiating. Burial will be at Lyons Municipal cemetery with honors by Hutchinson Fire Department Honor Guard. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Sillin Funeral Home in Lyons and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the church, Bell and Star Fund or Lyons Fire Department Scholarship Fund, all in care of the funeral home.

Beatrice E. ‘Bea’ Stansel 1919-2004
HUTCHINSON — Beatrice E. “Bea” Stansel, 85, died March 20 at Hutchinson Hospital. She was born Feb. 19, 1919, at Pawnee Rock, the daughter of Alfred Smith and Mabel Naomi Morris Gross. She was a 1936 graduate of Pawnee Rock High School and a graduate of Kansas City Business College. She married
F. Harrison Stansel Sept. 6, 1942, in Pawnee Rock. A resident of Hutchinson since 1940, she was a homemaker and 28-year employee of Kansas State Fair.
Mrs. Stansel was a member of First United Methodist Church, Wesley Weds Sunday School Class, Polyphonic Music Club, Phi Beta Psi Sorority, American Legion Auxiliary, Hutchinson Symphony and Serendipity Camping Club.
Survivors include her husband of the home; one son, Lynn Stansel of Hutchinson; one brother, Ken Mendenhall of Mesa, Ariz.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Alan Stansel; and one foster sister, Mabel Deckert.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson, with the Rev. Robert B. Brooks officiating. Burial will be at Fairlawn cemetery in Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at the mortuary. Memorials are suggested to Phi Beta Psi Sorority cancer research fund, in care of the mortuary.

Joan Young
WICHITA — Joan Young, 85, died March 19. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of First Methodist Church and PEO Chapter HR, both of Great Bend, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Moose of Hutchinson, Polka Lovers Klub of America in Wichita and Noble’s Lady of Isis Temple of Salina.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Young of Kansas City, Mo., and Roger D. Young of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Celinda D. Graham of Wichita; one brother, Bill Smith of Hutchinson; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at East Heights United Methodist Church in Wichita. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Great Bend Cemetery. Lloyd V. Brown 1936-2004
NEWTON — Lloyd V. Brown, 67, died March 21 at his residence in Newton. He was born Oct. 7, 1936, in Great Bend, the son of Lawrence and Anna Sofia Drehle Brown. He married
Martha M. Mische Feb. 11, 1956, in Yates Center. She died April 22, 1991. He married
JoAnn Gerritzen Oct. 12, 1996, in Newton. A resident of Newton, he was a manufacturing engineer for Hesston Corp., Bunting Magnetics and UNIFLO.
Brown attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, was a member of Elks Lodge, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Varmit Callers Association.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three daughters, Carol Ann Rizo of Wichita, Patsy Jean Dilts of Hesston and Mary Elizabeth Schmidt of Bedford, Texas; two sisters, Leveta Abboud of Wichita and Carol Brown of Carson City, Nev.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Brown.

Margaret Juergensen Stanton 1910-2004
COLUMBUS — Margaret Juergensen Stanton, 93, died March 22 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo., after an illness. She was born Nov. 22, 1910, on the family farm in Cherokee County, the daughter of Andrew P. and Sophie Kueffner Juergensen. She was a 1929 graduate of Columbus High School and Kansas State Teachers College in Pittsburg. She married
Elmer “Dick” Stanton in 1946, in Joplin. He died in 1954. A resident of rural Columbus, she was a retired school teacher working in Rural Empire in Galena, Great Bend, Clay Center, Joplin and rural schools in Cherokee County.
Mrs. Stanton was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Pittsburg.
Survivors include one son, Gary Stanton of rural Columbus.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Edgmand cemetery in rural Columbus, with the Rev. Carol Willadsen officiating. Family requests friends meet at the cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church or Columbus Community Foundation, in care of Simpson Funeral Home in Columbus.

Vernon Kerbs 1921-2004
BEAVER — Vernon Kerbs, 82, died March 21 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital. He was born April 19, 1921, at Tampa, the son of Henry and Nathalie Klein Kerbs. He married
Ruby Hammers in 1944, at Wellington. She died in 1973. He married
Beverly Jane Hutson March 26, 1977, at Ellsworth. A resident of Beaver since 1976, coming from Wellington, he was a maintenance supervisor working in Tripoli, Libya, for Whitco Libya for four years, then returned to the United States and continued his work in the oilfield.
Kerbs was a member of Masonic Lodge in Wellington and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hoisington.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two stepsons, Greg Hutson of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Noel Hutson of San Jose, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Juanita Borrell of Delphos, Linda Hopkins of Beaver and Bobbie Hamilton of Austin, Texas; and four stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Kerbs; one sister, Evelyn Little; and one stepgranddaughter, Jenna Scott.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington, with the Rev. James A. Strasen officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Prairie Lawn cemetery in Wellington with Masonic burial rites. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Claflin Ambulance Fund or Beaver Fire Department Fund, both in care of the funeral home.

Enid Lourine Dahle 1916-2004
Enid Lourine Dahle, 87, of Great Bend, died March 21 at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend. She was born Nov. 29, 1916, the daughter of Edd and Zella Truex Fisher. She married
Budge Dahle. He died in 1976. A resident of Great Bend for two years, coming from Hesperia, Calif., she was an inspector for Hughes Aircraft, retiring in 1976.
Mrs. Dahle was a member of River of Life Foursquare Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include four cousins, Wilma Jean Truex, Delores Rusco and Verdean LeRoy, all of Great Bend, and Doreen Powell of Honolulu, Hawaii. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ed Fisher.
Memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend, with the Rev. David LeRoy officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn cemetery in Santa Monica, Calif. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Sue Boye 1932-2004
DENVER, Colo. — Sue Boye, 71, died March 19 at her daughter’s home in Arvada, Colo. She was born March 26, 1932, at Great Bend, the daughter of Earl and Ella Frevert Snyder. She was a graduate of Holyrood schools and was a 1954 graduate of Bethany College in Lindsborg. A resident of Denver, she was a house mom at sororities in Colorado for several years, was a real estate agent and taught music.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Denver.
Survivors include one son, J.D. Boye of Aurora, Colo.; one daughter, Tammy Derloshon of Arvada; and four grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Holyrood. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran cemetery in Holyrood.
