Helen Marie Price 1902-2000
Helen Marie Price, 98, died Nov. 14 at Hilltop Manor Inc., in Cunningham.
She was born April 1, 1902, in Scammon, the daughter of Samuel Edgar and
Jessie Lee Wade Jackson. She married
Harley Emmett Price June 5, 1919, in
Great Bend. He died Dec. 16, 1955. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, she
was a homemaker.
Mrs. Price was a member of Community Christian Church, Silver and Gold Club
and AARP, all of Great Bend.
Survivors include one son, Gerald R. Price of Ft. Collins, Colo.; two
daughters, Judy Smith of Great Bend and Mary M. Koogle of Parsons; 17
grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence L. Price; one daughter,
Patricia J. Thompson; one brother, Denton Jackson; one sister, Mable
Nicoll; and two grandsons.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bryant-Christians Funeral Chapel in
Great Bend with the Rev. Kevin Ingram officiating. Burial will be at the
Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 tonight, from 9 a.m. to 9
p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until service time at Bryant Christians Funeral
Home in Great Bend. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer Diseases and

Betty Jean Dula 1930-2000
Betty Jean Dula, 70, died Nov. 17 at Central Kansas Medical Center, St.
Rose Campus in Great Bend. She was born Sept. 28, 1930, at Columbia, Mo.,
the daughter of Roy A. Sr. and Edith Mae Jennings Rush. She married
Edward
Port Dula Oct. 19, 1949, in Tijuana, Mexico. He died June 5, 1994. A Great
Bend resident for most of her life, she was a retired nurses' aide at St.
Rose Hospital and sales clerk at Gibson's in Great Bend.
Mrs. Dula was a member of Faith Community Church of Great Bend.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Dula of Hutchinson; two brothers, Roy
A. Rush Jr. of Farmington, N.M., and Joseph H. Rush of Kremmling, Colo.;
and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Fred
Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may
call from 2-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, all at

Johanna Etta DelReo 1924-2000
LARNED - Johanna Etta DelReo, 76, died Nov. 17 at Central Kansas Medical
Center, St. Rose Campus in Great Bend. She was born Sept. 22, 1924, at
Aniwa, Wis., the daughter of William F. and Abbie Greenlaw Hass. She
married Alfred George Francis DelReo Sept. 20, 1939, at Crandon, Wis. He
died Sept. 9, 1994. A longtime resident of Larned, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. DelReo was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include three brothers, Dale Hass of Sheboygan, Wis., Clifford
Hass of Birnamwood, Wis., and Byron Hass of Shawano, Wis. She was preceded
in death by twin brothers and one sister.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Morell Funeral Home in Larned with the
Rev. Rick Clark officiating. Burial will be at Larned Cemetery. Friends may
call until 8 tonight, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to

Brenda J. Seemann 1952-2000
JETMORE - Brenda J. Seemann, 48, died Nov. 17 at her home in Jetmore. She
was born May 22, 1952, in Jetmore, the daughter of Vernon and Edith Larkin
Cohoon. She married
Dave Seemann Aug. 11, 1971, at Cimarron. A lifetime
resident of Jetmore, she worked in the Hodgeman county treasurer's office.
Mrs. Seemann was a member of United Methodist Church of Jetmore, an
emergency medical technician - intermediate, income tax preparer and
dispatcher for Hodgeman County Sheriff's Office for 10 years.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Raymond Seemann and
Ronnie Seemann, both of Jetmore; two daughters, Penny Charles and Misty
Seemann, both of Jetmore; five step-children; two brothers, Ronnie Cohoon
of Jetmore and Jay Cohoon of Dodge City; three grandchildren; four
step-grandchildren; and one step-greatgrandchild.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Mitch Reece
officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount cemetery in Jetmore. Friends may
call until 8 tonight and from 9-11 a.m. Monday at Beckwith Funeral Home in

Peggy Joyce Mattocks 1934-2000
HOISINGTON - Peggy Joyce Mattocks, 66, died Nov. 16 at Clara Barton
Hospital in Hoisington. She was born June 18, 1934, in Yukon, Okla., the
daughter of Thee David and Sudie Pearl Greer Riggs. She married
Wallace E.
"Jack" Mattocks Oct. 17, 1954, in Clayton, N.M. He died April 8, 1969. A
resident of Hoisington for 58 years, she was a secretary for 26 years at
First Kansas Bank in Hoisington.
Mrs. Mattocks was a member of First United Methodist Church, Clara Barton
Hospital and American Legion Auxiliary, all of Hoisington.
Survivors include three daughters, Peggy McMillon of Great Bend, Debbie
DeHaven of Hoisington and Sudie Little of New Haven, Mo.; one brother,
Howard Riggs of Natchitoches, La.; one sister, Helen Stoops of Grand
Junction, Colo.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one
brother, Hugh Riggs; and one sister, Louise Ummel.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in
Hoisington with the Rev. Wayne Flanders officiating. Burial will be at
Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-9 p.m. today at the funeral

Vernon William Luetters 1931-2000
SALINA - Vernon William Luetters, 69, died Nov. 14 at Salina Regional
Health Center. He was born April 12, 1931, in Ransom, the son of Frances
and Josephine Hilmes Luetters. A resident of Salina, he was a building
construction superintendent.
Luetters was a member of St. Mary's Queen of the Universe Catholic Church,
the Carpenter's Union, both of Salina, Knights of Columbus in Ransom,
National Rifle Association, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include five brothers, Louis Luetters of Ransom, Thomas Luetters
of Wichita, Eugene Luetters of Salina, John Luetters of Hutchinson and
Jerome Luetters of Hays; four sisters, Rozanne Veeder and Janice
Houdeshell, both of Dodge City, Carolyn Maska of Hays and Linda Hess of
Great Bend.
Parish vigil will be at 7 tonight at St. Aloysius Church in Ransom. Funeral
Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Aloysius Church with the Rev.
Gregory LeBlanc officiating. Burial will be at St. Aloysius cemetery in
Ransom with military graveside rites by the Ransom VFW. Friends may call
until 4 today at St. Aloysius Church, from 6-9 tonight at the church, and
Saturday morning at the church. Memorials are suggested to the church in

James Lyle Stout 1929-2000
LARNED - James Lyle Stout, 71, died Nov. 15, at his home in Larned. He was
born Jan. 14, 1929, in Erwin, Neb., the son of James Edward and Laura Della
Roberts Stout. He married
Mary Ann Wallingford Dec. 30, 1983, in Martin,
S.D. A resident Larned since 1993, coming from Merriman, Neb., he was a
retired mechanic.
Stout was of the Christian faith and a past member of Veterans of Foreign
Wars. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; five sons, James "Corky" Stout,
Charles Stout and Marty Lee, all of Larned, John Lee of Gordon, Neb. and
Regenald Lee of Grand Island, Neb.; four daughters, Anita Spencer and Susan
Greenamyre, both of Larned, Donna DeCoste of Chadron, Neb., and Wanita
Wilds of Omaha, Neb.; one sister, Della Emery of Mission, S.D.; 33
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
four brothers, Danny Stout, Clifford Stout, George Stout and Henry Stout;
three sisters, Lois Stout, Garnet Bowman and Viola Pavolik.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Morell Funeral Home in Larned with the
Rev. James Swan officiating. Burial will be at Larned Cemetery. Friends may

Frank Wayne Peck 1945-2000
BUNKER HILL - Frank Wayne Peck, 55, died Nov. 14 in Baton Rouge, La. He was
born Sept. 30, 1945, in Russell, the son of Ralph and Hester Milberger
Peck. A resident of Bunker Hill, he was a construction superintendent for
Youngblood Brother Inc.
Peck was a member of Beulah Masonic Lodge in Bunker Hill and the Bunker
Hill Historical Society. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Survivors include his parents of Bunker Hill; two brothers, Dr. Roger Peck
of Great Bend and Curtis Peck of Wichita; two sisters, Sandra Rogg in
Russell and Lauree Homewood of Ellis.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Pohlman's Memorial Chapel in Russell
with the Rev. Earl Haggard officiating. Burial will be at Bunker Hill
Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.

Diabetes Association or Beulah Masonic Lodge, all in care of the mortuary.

Lloyd L. Harbaugh 1912-2000
RUSSELL - Lloyd L. Harbaugh, 88, died Nov. 15 at Beverly Health Care Center
in Lucas. He was born Aug. 19, 1912, in Russell County, the son of James
and Bertha Ringeisen Harbaugh. He married
Mabel New July 14, 1938, in Great
Bend. A resident of Russell, he worked in road construction.
Harbaugh was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Russell.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one daughter, Vicky Suazo of
Alexandria, Va.; two brothers, Willis Harbaugh of Russell and Warren
Harbaugh of Great Bend; four sisters, June Faulkner of Sharon Springs,
Phyllis Bodine of Russell, Lillie Jean Livingston of Great Bend and Bonnie
Lou Schartz of Hutchinson; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Earnest Harbaugh, Richard
Harbaugh, James Harbaugh and Ralph Harbaugh.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m Saturday at the church with the Rev. Earl
Haggard officiating. Burial will be at Russell City Cemetery. Friends may
call from 7-9 tonight at Pohlman's Mortuary in Russell and from 9:30 a.m.
