Jack W. Dailey Jr. 1925-2000
TULSA, Okla. - Jack W. Dailey Jr., 74, died April 17 at St. John's Hospital
in Tulsa. He was born Dec. 8, 1925, at Great Bend, the son of John Wilfred
and Anna Edith Kaummer Dailey. He married
Betty Ann Ryan Sept. 22, 1961, at
Tulsa. He was a retired baker.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one daughter, Pam Mann of Plano,
Texas; four brothers, Don Dailey and Dick Dailey, both of Great Bend, Jim
Dailey of Sandy, Utah, and Jerry Dailey of Tulsa; four sisters, Dorothea
Hershey and Eleanor Dailey, both of Great Bend, Gwen Bible of Tulsa and
Janiece Burke of Denver, Colo.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by one brother, Bill Dailey; and two sisters, Patricia Dillard and
Peggy Dailey.
Graveside services were today at Memorial Park cemetery in Tulsa with the
Rev. Phil Taylor officiating. Burial was at Memorial Park cemetery in
Tulsa. The Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home in Tulsa was in charge of
arrangements.

John T. Hannah 1912-2000
John T. Hannah, 88, Great Bend, died April 19. Services will be announced
by Fryberger Mortuary.

Hallie Grabhorn 1916-2000
HOISINGTON - Hallie Grabhorn of Hoisington died Monday, April 17, 2000, in
Great Bend. She was born Hallie Irene Seale at Waterville, KS, in 1916.
Mrs. Grabhorn was the wife of Fred W. Grabhorn, a Hoisington High School
teacher for 20 years prior to his death in 1974. She served as a retail
clerk and as an insurance clerk in Hoisington for over 30 years.
She leaves two sons, Bob of Great Bend and Jim of rural Leavenworth County,
Kan.; a grandson, Bob of Olympia, Wash., and four step-grandchildren. She
is survived by two sisters, Lena and Maxine, who reside in California.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in
Hoisington. Friends may call from noon to 6 p.m. with the family receiving
friends from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to service time Thursday, all at
the funeral home.
The family requests no flowers and suggests memorials to the Edward D.
Kroesch Scholarship Fund at Hoisington High School.

Lewis A. Dingwall 2000
PETALUMA, Calif. - Lewis A. Dingwall, 66, died April 18 at Petaluma Valley
Hospital in Petaluma. He was born in Santa Cruz, Calif. His wife, Shirley,
formerly of Great Bend, died in March, 1999. A lifelong resident of
Petaluma, he worked as a handyman for several local businesses, including
Source One.
Dingwall was a military veteran and member of American Legion Post 28 of
Petaluma.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Cypress Hill Memorial Park
in Petaluma. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Adobe
Creek Funeral Home in Petaluma. Memorials are suggested to the Heart
Association of the Redwood Empire, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa, CA 95402.

Pat Bobbitt 1931-2000
UNCERTAIN, Texas - Pat Bobbitt, 69, died April 17 at his home in Uncertain.
He was born Feb. 8, 1931, at Mott, La., the son of Perry C. and Vera
Kilgore Bobbitt. He married
Geri Jo Wilson Feb. 20, 1950, at Jetmore. He
attended Pawnee Rock public schools. He worked for Ark-La-Gas for 19 years,
then went into heavy construction until his retirement in 1986.
Bobbitt was a U.S. Army and National Guard veteran, having obtained the
rank of Master Sergeant.
Survivors include his wife of the home; four sons, Michael Pat Bobbitt of
Slidell, La., Tony Jo Bobbitt of Glenrose, Texas, Nicky Doyle Bobbitt of
Recklaw, Texas, and Leslie Wayne Bobbitt of Killeen, Texas; one daughter,
Tallie Eyvette Leonardos of Uncertain; one brother, James Everett of Alber,
N.M.; one sister, Beth Underwood of Millers Creek, NC; eight grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one borother,
Bobby Ray Bobbitt.

Funeral Home, 100 East Travis, Marshall, Texas 75671.

Lula M. Lawson 1908-2000
HUTCHINSON - Lula M. Lawson, 91, of Hutchinson, died April 18 at Hester
Care Center. She was born Dec. 30, 1908, at Brooken, Okla., the daughter of
Noah and Ollie Wilson Bryant. She married
Vinton H. Lawson Feb. 22, 1931,
at Shawnee, Okla. He died May 18, 1962. A Hutchinson resident since 1977,
formerly of Wichita and Great Bend, she was employed at the Wesleyan
Hospital Coffee Shop in Wichita, retiring in 1974.
Mrs. Lawson was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Hutchinson.
She was an Army Mother during the Korean War, a member of the Sew and So
Club in Great Bend and a volunteer at the Hutchinson Senior Center.
Survivors include two sons, Harold D. Lawson of Payson, Ariz., and Ronald
G. Lawson of Hutchinson; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Memorial Chapel
with the Rev. Kendall Franklin officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m.
Saturday at Old Mission cemetery in Wichita. Friends may call from 11 a.m.
to 8 p.m. Friday at Johnson and Sons Funeral Home in Hutchinson, with the
family receiving friends from 7-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the
church, in care of the funeral home.

Robert Frances Ruiz 1975-2000
LARNED - Robert Frances Ruiz, 24, died April 8 at Seoul, Korea. He was
born June 7, 1975, at Larned, the son of Robert A. Ruiz and Shelia G.
Carris Ruiz Rodriquez. He married
Yvonne Smith June 8, 1996, at Fort Riley.
He completed his bachelors degree in sociology in 1999 at Emporia State
College and attended Butler County Community College. He received AIT
training at Fort Hauchuca, Arizona. A former resident of Larned, he was in
the U.S. Army, stationed at Yongson Military Base in Seoul since March 12.
Ruiz was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Larned.
Survivors include his wife of the home; his father and stepmother, Robert
and Janine Ruiz of Wichita; his mother and stepfather, Sheila and Joe
Rodriquez of Larned; one brother, Kiel Lawrence Ruiz of Wichita; one
sister, Maria Brooke Ruiz of Larned; his grandparents, Trinidad Ruiz of
Larned, Eunice Carris Wendelburg of Tribune and Dorothy Jean Newton of
Oshkosh, Neb.
Rosary will be at 7 tonight at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel in Larned. Funeral
Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Dennis
Reed officiating. Burial will be at Larned cemetery in Larned with full
military honors. Friends may call until 8 tonight at the funeral home. The
casket will remain closed. Memorials are suggested to Shriner's Crippled
Children's Fund, in care of the funeral home.

HOISINGTON - Hallie I. Grabhorn, 83, died April 17 at Cherry Village in
Great Bend.

Opal Jane Moulden 1903-2000
Opal Jane Moulden, 96, died April 17 at Integrated Health Services in Great
Bend. She was born Dec. 31, 1903, at Oakley, the daughter of Arthur L. and
Grace Dallas Sparks. She married
Franklin Zickefoose in 1928 at Oakley. He
preceded her in death. She then married
Burl Moulden in 1945 at Colby. He
also preceded her in death. A resident of Great Bend since 1976, coming
from Dodge City, she was a homemaker and worked at Dodge City Hospital as a
licensed practical nurse.
Mrs. Moulden was a member of First Congregational, United Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Keller of Great Bend; four
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
two brothers, Guy Sparks and Derald Sparks.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home in
Great Bend with Terri Hurley officiating. Burial will be at Oakley Cemetery
in Oakley with the Rev. Robert Winters officiating. Friends may call until
9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to IHS or the
church, both in care of the funeral home.

Rocklin Wade 'Rocky' Wallert 1945-2000
Rocklin Wade "Rocky" Wallert, 54, died April 17 at Central Kansas Medical
Center, St. Rose Campus in Great Bend. He was born Nov. 4, 1945, at
Ellsworth, the son of Leonard M. and Osythe Kuck Wallert. A resident of
Great Bend for one year, coming from Hutchinson and Salina, he was in food
management service and a roughneck in the oil fields.
Survivors include his parents of Great Bend; one son, Craig Allen Wallert
of Wichita; one daughter, Stacy Chandler III, of Haysville; one brother,
Riccardo K. Wallert of Great Bend; one sister, Jacqueline R. Swire of
Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home in
Great Bend with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Graveside service will be
at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilson cemetery in Wilson. Friends may call from 9
a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday, all at
the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Research, in
care of the funeral home.
