Norbin J. Baldwin Jr. 1916-2000
MARLOW, Okla. - Norbin J. Baldwin Jr., 83, died February 13, at his home in Marlow. He was born May 28, 1916, in Kinsley, the son of Norbin Jones and Cammie Ann Justus Baldwin. He married
Imogene Ella McConnell June 4, 1948, at Great Bend. She died March 4, 1978. A resident of Marlow, having lived in Great Bend from 1937-1964, and Dodge City, he worked for Home Appliance Co. in Great Bend and for the Oklahoma State Department of Transportation until retirement.
Baldwin was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served with the 75th Infantry Division during World War II.
Survivors include his mother of Hutchinson; three brothers, Vern Baldwin and Kent Baldwin, both of Great Bend, and Howard Baldwin of Junction City; three sisters, Maxine Wesley and Phyllis Deist, both of Hutchinson, and Doris Boyer of Savannah, Mo. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Baldwin, in 1994.
Graveside services were held Feb. 16 at the Marlow cemetery in Marlow.
Memorials are suggested to the World War II B-29 Memorial Plaza in care of Barton County Historical Society, P.O. Box 1091, Great Bend, Kan., 67530.

Irene A. Horner 2000
Irene A. Horner died Feb. 22 at Arriba, Colo. She was born at Seward, the daughter of Ira V. and Cecelia Baier Hoge. She married
Scottie Giessel. He preceded her in death. She then married
Milton G. "Mick" Horner Nov. 19, 1943, at Las Vegas. He died March 29, 1996. A resident of Great Bend for most of her life, she was a court clerk for Kansas District Court.
Mrs. Horner was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, St. Rose Altar Society, past member of Business and Professional Women's Club, Soroptimist Club, all of Great Bend; and past president of the state Business Women in Law.
Survivors include one son, Richard Lee Giessel of Fort Collins, Colo.; and one brother, Vernon Hoge of Arriba, Colo. She was preceded in death by two brothers, H. Neal Hoge and Herbert J. Hoge; and two sisters, Barbara A. Hoge and Virginia Hoge Evans.
Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home in Great Bend. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Charles Mazouch officiating. Burial will be at Great Bend cemetery in Great Bend. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1-9 pm. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Great Bend Public Library or the church school endowment fund, both in care of the funeral home.

Jack N. Rowe 1922-2000
WICHITA - Jack N. Rowe, 77, died Feb. 24 at Wichita. He was born Aug. 22, 1922, the son of William D. and Olive McNeil Rowe. He married
Euline Peterson Aug. 8, 1948, at Garfield. A resident of Wichita, he retired as facilities manager for Boeing Company.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one daughter, Shelly Ann Dewberry of Pasadena, Calif.; two sisters, JoAnn Cameron of Great Bend and Vicki Brucciani of Roswell, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Grace Baptist Church in Wichita.
Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Garfield cemetery in Garfield. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Hillside Funeral Home East in Wichita. The casket will remain closed.
Memorials are suggested to the church or American Heart Association, both in care of the funeral home.

Luther L. 'Bud' Laremore 1928-2000
GARDEN CITY - Luther L. "Bud" Laremore, 72, died Feb. 24 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. He was born Feb. 1, 1928, at Great Bend, the son of Lee and Marguerite Riggen Laremore. He married
Marilyn Ann Miller Aug. 6, 1950, at Great Bend. He graduated from high school in Belpre and Hobart Trade School in Troy, Ohio. A resident of Garden City, coming from Belpre and Larned, he farmed near Belpre with his father and later worked as a mechanic in Larned and was sixth district maintenance inspector for Kansas Department of Transportation in Garden City.
Laremore was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Harry H. Renick American Legion Post 9, both of Garden City, and American Association of Retired Persons. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Leticia Ann Porter of Garden City and Marnie Lu Childs of Norman, Okla.; one sister, Meridel Pivonka of Gilbert, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Lyle Steuhrenberg officiating. Burial will be at Valley View cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from 1-9 p.m. today at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Memorials are suggested to the church endowment fund, in care of the funeral home.

Maynard R. Glantz 1914-2000
SPRING HILL, Fla. - Maynard R. Glantz, 86, died Feb. 16 at Spring Hill. He was born Jan. 1, 1914. He married
Leila Healzer June 15, 1975. He was a graduate of Fort Hays State University. A resident of Spring Hill since 1979, coming from Bison, he owned and operated Glantz Gardens in Bison and was a realtor and operator of Glantz Fine Foods in Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Wayne Glantz of Pomeroy, Wash.; two stepsons, Roger Richter of Great Bend and Scott Richter of Timken; one stepdaughter, Vicky Morrison of Albert; and six grandchildren.
Memorial service was Feb. 20 at Spring Hill. Burial will be at Great Bend at a later date.

Ruth Titus Lasswell 1926-2000
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Ruth Titus Lasswell, 73, died Feb. 21 at Kansas City.
She was born March 10, 1926, at Great Bend, the daughter of Ray and Gladys Titus. She married
Jerry Lasswell. He preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Great Bend High School, Lindenwood College in St. Louis, Mo., and Kansas State University in Manhattan. A resident of Kansas City, she was a registered dietitian, owner of Dietary Associates for the past 30 years.
Mrs. Lasswell was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church; the Kansas, American and Kansas City Dietetic Associations, ASHFA and Leawood Women's Club.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Kathy Crago of Mount Carmel, Ill.; one sister, Mary Murray of Tucson, Ariz.; and three step-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church. The body will be cremated. A reception for family and friends will follow services at the church. Memorials are suggested to the church, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 6401 Wornall Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64113, or donor's choice.

Glen D. Hinnergardt 1927-2000
BISMARK, N.D. - Glen D. Hinnergardt, 72, died Jan. 29. He was born Aug. 26, 1927, at Bazine, the son of Henry and Edith Neidens Hinnergardt. He married
Dorothy Ward Nov. 11, 1946. He was agraduate of Great Bend High School. A resident of Bismark since 1996, coming from Billings, Mont., he was a salesman for Russell Stover Candy and Selover Buick in Billings.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Kirk Hinnergardt of Bismarck; two daughters, Kerry Powell of St. Marys, Ohio, and Kelly Decker of Braggs, Okla.; and eight grandchildren.

Willard Brown 1917-2000
HUTCHINSON - Willard Brown, 82, died Feb. 21 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus in Wichita. He was born Oct. 8, 1917, at Wakefield, the son of John E. and Elizabeth Hoch Brown. He married
Verde Jean Webster Feb. 14, 1948. She died in 1992. A longtime Hutchinson resident, formerly of Great Bend, he was a millwright.
Brown was a member of Bible Baptist Church, IOOF and Eagles Lodge. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II.
Survivors include two stepchildren; one sister, Alta Mae Latschar of Cartersville, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Johnson and Sons Memorial Chapel in Hutchinson. Burial will be at Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson. Friends may call until 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Curtis W. Ingham 1929-2000
CHASE - Curtis W. Ingham, 70, died Feb. 23 at Lyons District Hospital in Lyons. He was born Nov. 28, 1929, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Truman Wheeler and Lucille Husted Ingham. He married
Shirley Muth July 7, 1960, at Tempe, Ariz. He was a 1948 graduate of Chase High School. A resident of Chase for 66 years, he was a welder for Hoelscher Engineering in Bushton and retired as owner/operator of OK Welding in Chase.
Ingham was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of the home; six sons, Michael Ingham of Chase, Bob Ingham of Hutchinson, Tom Ingham of Manhattan, David Ingham of Ellinwood, Bill Ingham of Leawood and John Ingham of Lindsborg; two daughters, Sheryl Burggraf of Lawrence and Karen Wood of Paola; one sister, Carol Campbell of Cherokee Village, Ark.; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chase with the Rev. Joseph Slomski officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic cemetery in Chase. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association, in care of the Kimple Inc. Funeral Home in Ellinwood.

Isabell O. Klein 1918-2000
HANSTON - Isabell O. Klein, 81, died Feb. 22 at Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center in Jetmore. She was born Oct. 28, 1918, at Pawnee County, the daughter of Jesse and Metta Schoor Schasteen. She married
De Lloyd Clarence Klein July 16, 1936, at Lyons. He died June 12, 1981. A longtime resident of the Hanston and Hodgeman County area, she was retired from the Hanston School District where she had been employed since 1961.
Mrs. Klein was a member of United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Senior Citizen Center and Cowbells, all of Hanston.
Survivors include five sons, Bob Klein of Hanston, Eldon Klein of Aurora, Colo., Jody Klein of Wright, Steve Klein of Enid, Okla., and Jack Klein of Dodge City; six daughters, Carolyn Hertel of Garden City, Phyllis Allison of Colorado Springs, Colo., Barbara Krentzel of McPherson, Kay Park of Manhattan, Donna Johnson and Pat Klein, both of Wichita; one brother, Cecil Schasteen of Wichita; one sister, Bessie Mai of Denver, Colo.; 30 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Klein; one daughter, Ruby Klein; two brothers, Edwin Schasteen and Alfrod Schasteen; and one sister, Mary Schasteen.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Gary Winget officiating. Burial will be at Brown's Grove cemetery in Burdett.
Friends may call until 8 tonight and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home in Jetmore. Memorials are suggested to Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center or Hanston Senior Center, both in care of the funeral home.
