E. Warner Ward, 86, Tonganoxie, KS, died Sunday March 25, 2007 in Tonganoxie.
Cremation is planned with a private inurnment at Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie, KS.
Mr. Ward was born October 22, 1920 in Tonganoxie, KS, the son of Earl and Bess (Peters) Ward. He was a member of the Tonganoxie Christian Church. He retired from KPL, where he was a maintenance supervisor. He also farmed.
He is survived by his sister, Marceline Baragary, Tonganoxie, KS.
Henry C. “Hank” Haller
Henry C. “Hank” Haller, 82, Tonganoxie, KS, died March 28, 2007 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday April 2 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tonganoxie. Visitation will from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
He was born April 10, 1924 in Iowa. He was a farm owner and laborer. He came to the Holton Family Dairy, Tonganoxie, KS, in 1938 and made his home there the rest of his life.
He is survived by many friends and neighbors.
Aiko Lynn Gouge
Aiko Lynn Gouge, 77, Tonganoxie, passed away Monday April 23, 2007 at her home.
Services will be 11 am Friday April 27,2007 at the United Methodist Church, Tonganoxie. Burial will follow at the Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday April 26 at the Church.
Aiko was born August 26, 1929 in Akita, Japan, the daughter of Roynosuka and Kura (Nagasua) Takahashi. Aiko was a business owner, who operated Gouge Manufacturing Co., she was also a member of the United Methodist Church, Tonganoxie, and enjoyed playing bridge in her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband Forest Gouge on August 7,1982.
Aiko is survived by three sons; Kim Gouge, Lawrence, KS, Dana Gouge, Wichita, KS, and Forest Gouge II, Sacramento, CA; five daughters; Fawn Cadue, Mayetta, KS, Cheryl Lane, Topeka, KS, Bonny Zehner, McLouth, KS, Tina Scully, Perry, KS, and Ericka Reed, Eudora, KS; seventeen grandchildren; two step-grand children; 11 great grand children; and 4 step-great grandchildren.

Raymond M. Crosby
Raymond M. Crosby, 81, Tonganoxie, KS, died Wednesday May 2, 2007 at Tonganoxie Nursing Center.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Sunday May 6 at Lanagan cemetery in Lanagan, Missouri. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Saturday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, KS.
Raymond was born December 25, 1925 in Anderson, Missouri, the son of James Nelson and Dessa M. (Epperson) Crosby. He was a WWII US Army veteran. He owned and operated Crosby Excavation and Construction Company, Tonganoxie, KS for forty years.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Copp, Lawrence, KS and Peggy Henderson, Grove, OK; two brothers, Carol Crosby, Joplin, MO and Phil Crosby, Lawton, OK; three sisters, Rosalee Clark, Neosho, MO, Nova Hall, Wichita Falls, TX and Barbara Shearhart, Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren, Tonya Bruce, Daron Copp and Stacy Sigley and five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn Marie Nelson
Evelyn Marie Nelson, 82, Tonganoxie, KS died Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be 1 pm Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, where the family will receive friends Noon until service time. She will be buried later in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Tonganoxie with her daughter Vicki.
Evelyn was born March 19, 1925 in Hanover, KS, the daughter of John and Philomena Jedlicka. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lawrence, KS.
She is survived by her son, Greg Nelson, KC, MO; brother, John Jedlicka, Jr., Shelbina, MO; two sisters, Arlene Roberts, Tulsa, OK and Joanne Walter, Wichita, KS; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Elizabeth Hoegler, 96, Basehor, KS, passed away Sunday May 6, 2007 at the Tonganoxie Nursing Center.
Funeral service for Elizabeth will be 10 am Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Holy Angels Catholic Church, Basehor, KS, burial will follow in Holy Angels cemetery, Basehor. Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, where a rosary will be said at 6 pm.
Elizabeth was born October 5, 1910 in Slater, MO, the daughter of Thomas and Rose (Hedger) Warson. She was a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church, Basehor and a member of the Bonner Springs, Tonganoxie, and Basehor Senior Citizens. Elizabeth was united in marriage on July 14, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas to Joseph P. Hoegler; he preceded her in death on August 28, 1990.
Survivors include one son; Gerald L. Hoegler, Ft. Meyers, FL, one daughter; Juanita Rose Hunt, Tonganoxie, KS, and 23 grandchildren.

Elmer Dean (Bud) Moore, 84, McLouth, KS, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at his home.
A Celebration of Life and Masonic service will be held 7 pm Friday, May 18, 2007 at his home (402 S. Olive Street, McLouth, KS). The family will receive friends from 2 pm until service time at the home.
Bud was born October 20, 1922 in Elkhart, KS, the son of Lawrence and Christine (Meyer) Moore. He was a WW II Army Air Corp Veteran and a third generation carpenter and builder. On January 15, 1948 he was united in marriage to Frances Graham. She preceded him in death, December 12, 2006.
Survivors include 3 sons, Robert, Johnson, KS, James, McLouth, KS, and Larry, Oskaloosa, KS; 1 daughter, Janeice Smoots, Emporia, KS; 1 brother, William, McLouth, KS; 3 sisters, Mildred Hausner, Mamie Moore and Ruth Butler, all of McLouth, KS; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Larry was born November 17, 1935 in Three Rivers, Michigan, the son of Wendel and Melvae (Wagner) Drew. He served in the US Army from 1950-1976. He was a supervisor for Heinz, Lenexa, KS. He was united in marriage to Karen Earlenbaugh September 15, 1993 in Leavenworth, KS.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; 2 sons, Sgt. Andrew Earlenbaugh, Ft. Hood, TX and Jason Drew, Tonganoxie; 2 daughters, Laurie Buchholz, McEwen, Tennessee and Lauri Kane, Wichita; 1 sister, Sandy Hammer, Indiana and 4 grandchildren.
Charles Lee Bates
Charles Lee Bates, 73, Basehor, KS, passed away Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park, KS.
Services will be 1 pm Wednesday May 30, 2007 at the Basehor United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Basehor, KS. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, May 29, at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, 4th and Delaware, Tonganoxie.
Charles was born January, 28,1934 in Basehor, KS, the son of Edward and Opal (Stephenson) Bates. He was a U.S. Army veteran who worked as a Building Contractor. He was a charter member of the Basehor Lions Club and a member of the Saturday Morning Breakfast Club. Charles was united in marriage on December 7, 1957 in Yuma, AZ to Avis C. Sanders, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons; Randy and Steven Bates, both of Basehor, KS; two daughters; Sandy Coleman, Bonner Springs, KS, and Susan Harrison, Basehor, KS; and four grandchildren.

Hugh Gregory McGough, 62, Liberty, MO, passed away Friday June 8, 2007 at the Liberty Hospital.
Service will be 11 am Tuesday June 12, 2007 at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, 4th and Delaware, Tonganoxie, KS, burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, KS. The family will receive friends 10 am until service time Tuesday at the Quisenberry Chapel.
Hugh was born January 1, 1945 in Detroit, MI, the son of Hugh and Norma (Stoner) McGough. He was a 1963 graduate of Washington High School, KC, KS and was a US Army Viet Nam War veteran. Hugh retired as a national account manager in the trucking industry. He was united in marriage on May 29, 2000 in Reno, NV, to Anne Hoffhines, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include his parents; Hugh and Norma McGough, Bonner Springs, KS; one son, Doug McGough, Amarillo, TX; two sisters, Kay Haskell, Swifton, AK, and Nan Grieshaber, Kansas City, KS.

Richard Alvin Groves, Jr., 49, Basehor, KS died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS.
Funeral services will be held 10 am Monday, June 25, 2007 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Basehor. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before service time at the Church.
Richard was born October 21, 1957 in Lincoln, NE, the son of Richard and Marcia (Fletcher) Groves, Sr. He was an equipment operator for J.C. Penny, Lenexa, KS. He was united in marriage March 17, 2001 to Christina (Wilson) Ogden-Groves in Tonganoxie, KS.
He is survived by his wife, Christina, of the home; two sons, Steven Groves, Austin, TX and Brandon Ogden, of the home; three daughters, Lisa Ballard, Austin, TX, Leslie Groves, Austin, TX and Chelsea Ogden, of the home; brother, Christopher Groves, Rapid City, SD; sister, Missy Lockhart, Chattanooga, TN and 2 grandsons.
