Luanne Lynne Kietzmann, 59, Ft. Myers, FL (formerly of Tonganoxie) died Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Providence Medical Center, K.C., KS.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Tonganoxie Christian Church. Burial will be in Rochester, NY. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Luanne was born May 15, 1947 in Rochester, NY, the daughter of Raymond and Lillian (Way) Usborne. She taught math and physical education at Easton and Tonganoxie schools and was a member of local and Kansas State Teacher’s Associations.
She is survived by two sons, Brian Kietzmann, Basehor, KS and Chad Kietzmann, Tonganoxie, KS; two brothers, Ronald Usborne, Ontario, Canada and Roger Usborne, San Diego, CA and four grandchildren.

Doris Mae Lister
Doris Mae Lister, 81, Tonganoxie, KS, formerly of Kansas City, KS, died August 23, 2006 at the Tonganoxie Nursing Center.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday August 25, 2006 at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, KS.
Doris was born September 4, 1924 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Raymond and Edna (Hartman) Dillard. She worked as a secretary and was a member of the Christ the King Church, Kansas City, KS. She was married
to Albert M. Lister, who preceded her in death in 1998.
Survivors include her son, Alan Lister, and wife, Juanetti, Tonganoxie, KS; her grandchildren, Andrew, Tracy and Lisa and great grandchildren, Dakota and Alexis.
Wayne A. Turner
Wayne A. Turner, 76, Tonganoxie, KS passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10 am Monday September 11, 2006 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tonganoxie. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Sunday at the church, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 pm. Private burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
He was born August 25, 1930 in Tonganoxie, KS, the son of Arthur and Edna (Campbell) Turner. He was a 20 year Navy Veteran serving in the Korean and Vietnam War. He retired in 1967 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. From 1967-1969 he was a business owner in Tonganoxie. He served as Leavenworth County Deputy Sheriff from 1969-1980 and as Leavenworth County Under Sheriff from 1980-1990. He was united in marriage on July 26, 1952 to Jean Nolen in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania.
Wayne is survived by his wife Jean E. Turner of the home; four sons, Wayne A. Turner Jr., Dickinson, TX, Robert W. Turner, Scottsdale, AZ, David C. Turner, Dallas, TX, and Michael S. Turner, Shawnee, KS; one daughter, Lisa A. Moorman, Douglas, GA; one brother, Verden (Bud) Turner, Oklahoma City, OK; one sister, Joyce Copeland, Rancho Santa Fe, CA; and six grandchildren. Jean’s sisters, Mary Ann Crilley, Sophia Trillich, and niece Christine Chupcola will be coming from New Jersey to attend the funeral services.

Grace E. DeHoff, 87, Tonganoxie, KS, passed away Thursday September 7, 2006 at Brandon Woods Retirement Community, Lawrence, KS.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday September 12, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, where the Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
Grace was born September 7, 1919 in Tonganoxie, KS, the daughter of Robert and Julia (Cavanaugh) Ward. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tonganoxie. Grace was a secretary for State Farm Insurance, Kansas City, KS and was also a homemaker. She was united in marriage to Leonard E. DeHoff on June 15, 1939 in Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death in 1998. Her son, Robert L. DeHoff, also preceded her in death in 1987.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Goodnow, Murphys, CA; one daughter-in-law, Peggy DeHoff, Tonganoxie, KS; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Allen Dwain Alexander
Allen Dwain Alexander, 73, Tonganoxie, KS passed away Thursday September 14, 2006 at the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, KS.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday September 18, 2006 at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, KS. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Allen was born on March 14, 1933 in Conway, Missouri, the son of Jesse and Irene Alexander. He was united in marriage to Alice K. Pierson on March 20, 1953 in Costa Mesa, California. He served in the US Army. His greatest passion was his antique show cars. Allen was an Operating Engineer for Hayes Drilling, Olathe, KS for 21 years, retiring in 1995 and was a member of the Operating Engineer Local #101. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jeff Alexander, in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Alice, of the home; two sons, Robert, Tonganoxie, KS and Michael, Urbana, MO; two daughters, Carol Babcock, Tonganoxie and Peggy Sieg, Warrensburg, MO; one brother, Wayne, Richland, MO; one sister, Betty Christy, Long Lane, MO; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Rodney G. Yates, 46, Tonganoxie, KS died Tuesday October 10, 2006 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Rodney was born July 22, 1960 in Lawrence, KS, the son of Lloyd T. and Florence L. (Burkhart) Yates. He was a supervisor for Kansas Department of Transportation, Kansas City, KS, where had worked 22 years.
He is survived by two sons, Dylan and Conner Yates, Tonganoxie; two brothers, Gary Blanck, Perry, KS and Charles Yates, Tonganoxie; and sister, Marilyn Ousdahl, Lawrence.

Wayne C. Black, 91, Tonganoxie, KS died Thursday, October 12, 2006 in Sedalia, MO.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour before service time at the funeral home.
Wayne was born October 22, 1915 in Scribner (Dodge County), NE, the 5th of 14 children born to Maurice F. and Adie Belle (Brown) Black. He served in the US Army during WW II as a cryptographer at Wendover Army Airfield, Wendover, UT. He was a dairy farmer until retiring in 1971 and was a member of the Tonganoxie Christian Church. On August 9, 1942, Wayne was united in marriage at Appanoose, KS to Mildred M. Ward. She preceded him in death February 7, 1997.
He is survived by his son, Ron (Carolyn) Black, Washington, IL; daughter, Deana (Bill) Rader, Sedalia, MO; two brothers, Maurice Black, Jr., Tonganoxie and Dale Black, Olathe; sister, Opal Kerns, Tonganoxie; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Gustav (Gus) (Tex) Koerth
Gustav (Gus) (Tex) Koerth, 85, Tonganoxie, KS, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Midland Hospice House, Topeka, KS.
Services for Gus will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS
Gus was born on June 19, 1921 in Burton, TX, the son of Herman and Hedwig (Nitche) Koerth. He was a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran who worked for 35 years as a refinery worker for Phillips Petroleum Co., KCKS and after retiring he drove a bus for Basehor school district and later Tonganoxie school district. He was a member of West Haven Baptist Church, Tonganoxie.
Gus was united in marriage on March 3, 1943, in Kansas City, KS to Althea Pike, she survives of the home. Other survivors include three sons, Richard (Deborah) Koerth, Topeka, KS, Bruce (Macel) Tonganoxie, KS, Howard (Roz) Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters, Elise Rebstock, Naussaw Bay, TX, Lillian Wardlow, Lincoln, CA; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Cheri Ann Brown, 43, Tonganoxie, KS died Monday, November 27, 2006 at her home.

Cheri was born January 2, 1963 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Jerry and Esther (Wassman) Mason. She worker as a teller for the Basehor branch of First State Bank & Trust, for 8 years. She was united in marriage May 17, 1979 in Kansas City, MO to David Brown. A daughter, Christina Ann, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, David Brown, of the home; daughter, Jenny Brown, Fort Riley, KS; and two stepbrothers, Ronald and Robert Chambers, both of Basehor, KS.
Renee Ann Soetaert
Renee Ann Soetaert, 45, McLouth, KS, passed away Friday, December 1, 2006 at the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital, Winchester, KS.
Services for Renee will be 11 am, Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at the Tonganoxie Christian Church, burial will follow at Fall Creek Cemetery, Jarbalo, KS. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.
Renee was born September 22, 1961 in Kansas City, KS the daughter of Ronald and Rev. Peachez (Ruiz) Joles. She was a 1979 graduate of Tonganoxie High School and she moved to McLouth in 1987 from the Tonganoxie area. She had worked for K Mart Distribution Center, Lawrence, KS for 23 years and was currently a homemaker and co-owner of M+R Longhorns. Renee was a member of the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association and a member of the Jarbalo United Methodist Church. She was united in marriage on August 28, 1982 in Tonganoxie, to Mark Soetaert. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include her paternal grandmother, Esther Lee Grigsby, KC, KS; maternal grandfather, Marcelino Fernandez, KC, MO; father and mother Ronald E. and Rev. Peachez Joles, Leavenworth; two sisters, Estee Willis, and Jenee Wilbanks, both of Tonganoxie and she was the dearly loved aunt of 10 nephews and 8 nieces.

Sylvia was born July 23, 1920, the daughter of Dewey and Edna (Kindred) Schlup. She was a 1938 graduate of Bonner Springs High School. Memberships include Sacred Heart Catholic Church, its Altar Society and Eagles Auxiliary Aerie # 3191, Bonner Springs, KS. On August 24, 1953, she was united in marriage to Richard (Dutch) Reischman. He preceded her in death March 18, 1989.
Survivors include 5 sons, Richard, Michael, John, Peter and James Reischman, all of Tonganoxie; 2 daughters, Theresa Cox, Olathe, KS and Catherine Patrick, Tonganoxie; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
